Rockwool is currently soaking to bring it to 5.8ish ph. I added 100 ppm of megacrop and some great white. About 76 degrees and around 50% humidity for now. Once they crack I'll put them in the rockwool then transfer to the dome. After some.good roots came out, into the system they go. I debated a 12 site system but went against due to size and needing some roo for the clones and random a may plant.
A few are slow to sprout and grow. My best one just now started putting energy to the leaves, with a couple roots showing. I had a couple bot sprout, I regret not planting 12 seeds. The replants are thriving though. Hopefully the slower one catch up and I don't have an issue with them having different needs. This is the stage I am most impatient. I want to see that new growth but remind myself they establish roots first.
I also decided the put a zkittlez in one of the corner pots, so we will see if I regret that later.
I planted 6 seeds for coco, 1 northern lights (fastbuds), 1 double grape (maphisto), 1 sour stomper (maphisto), 1 banana purple punch (fastbuds) and 2 think different (Dutch passion). I have them in small nursery pots as of now and will transplant later. I'm not too concerned about stressing them during transplant as ive never really had that issue.
Day 13
So far decent. Nor as far as i wanted them to be and 2 are very slow. 1 I actually swapped out for a double grape I was going to do in coco due to it being so retarded and mutated. It's 1 week behind the other so let's see if it can keep up. I have 9 I'm doing in coco as well. 4 think different (dutch passion), 1 banana purple punch(fastbuds), 1 double grape (mephisto), 1 sour stomper (mephisto), 1 northern lights (fastbuds), and 1 that I honestly forgot what it was lol, so surprise.
I would love to hear some opinions on size etc.
Not as big as i want. Its also been 5 ywars since my last grow and 8 ywars before that, so my skills are rusty.
I bought 4 HLG quantum boards to fill some low light areas and make room for my coco run.
Just started LST the other day. No issues yet. I switched over to the 2 part megacrop, I like how well it dissolves compared to the 1 part.
Lots of growth this week. 1 plant will definitely be an early girl. Already hitting her stretch.
Most have shown signs of sex and are emitting a nice smell, weak but nice. I'm considering getting an 8 inch inline and filter as extra odor guard. My room is buffered by a bathroom so sticking it in there should help. My girlfriend was surprised by the oder this week, she also hardly goes in there.
I did more LST and opened them up well. Some selective defolition as well nothing too serious.
I topped one and FIMed another. It didn't phase either and they both responded as well as one could hope.
I have 40 gallons of solution ready for a swap in the next day or so. I'll be using a product from torus hydro called perfect PH. S.o let's see ho well it works to auto balance my system.
My leaf surface Temps are great. There are a couple laying on the buckets that aren't a fan of the heat but oh well. I could see why investing in some light proof white bucket would be beneficial.
Coco grow is great. Once again the ones I topped and FIMed are doing great.
I'm hoping for a good harvest, and if the coming weeks get the growth I expect, I should hit the 1/4 lb plus per plant goal I want.
I'm going to say this grow is probably scrapped.
After adding the perfect ph to my grow the ph skyrocketed to over 7. I've added over a pint of ph down and even swapped the water.... twice. Whatever is in the residual water is dping something to super buffer it. Ive received to response from torus hydro for an assistance. I just can't get the ph to stay down. Even getting it below 6.5 temporarily is a serious struggle. I've done dwc for years with many kinds of plantsand have never encountered anything like this. Needless to say I'm quite upset about this.
Co pletely disassembled my RDWC system, cleaned all the buckets and tubes in an attempt to salvage this grow. The PH is more manageable but still high. I scrapped 5 plants and am doing them all as regular DWC, no more recirculation.
They're drinking insane amounts per day, I regularly add over a gallon per site. My beliggest is doing at least 2 a day. The heat is obviously a factor in this as well.
Trichomes are coming along well enough and buds are filling in well. Has a good smell to it now but I'm still able to control it inside the rooms.
Gave them all a good hair cut and threw out some small branches that will only be larf.
The dog decided to have a go at one and napped for about a day. I have to keep a better eye on him now cause he keeps trying to get my leaves now.
Still a bit of a battle with the ph, it's more stable but it's been quite trying and it def did plenty of damage.
The smell is amazing, very thick fruity berry smell, especially when I'm messing around with them. I plan on doing some defoliation tomorrow to help jeep powdery mildew at bay as I have found some.
I'm hoping these finish before any issues arise as this has been a trying grow for me.
They are definitely dense. When i lift the lids to refill them they are heavier than they look. I'm excited to see what I get.
Not much new. Still battling ph. By far the most difficult grow I've ever had. Powdery mildew is being held at bay buds are swelling and a few have some purple hues to the sugar leaves.
Just this one girl is ready.
Not too hard of a grow. Some powdery mildew towards the end but not too bad. The amount of trichomes is amazing. It was to the point I thought it was PM on some of the fan leaves. The smell was great. A definite grape smell and some fruity fuel as well.
They can take a bit of a beating. I had a huge ph issue for weeks and they kept going along. I can't imagine if it was a flawless grow.
These buds seem very dense. It was deceivingly heavy when i chopped her down. Will update with weight and the rest of the harvest.
If you haven't you should grow this!
