Reeferpot420 always have had 100% germination rate from putting the seed directly in the sponge or directly in the soil,but do whatever works best for you....

@Sweet_Seeds, yes the red family is my favorite line I'm currently doing two of these and I'm going to start either an F1 Mandarin or Tropicana
