Let's kick off this new season! For this one I am more excited than usual, wanting to devote much more attention and care to my new seedlings; purchased as always from RQS. In addition to three seeds of Cookies Gelato Automatic, I wanted to try the Easy Grow Kit that they sell on store, for the vegetative and flowering stages respectively: 1x Easy Grow (3 pcs); 1x Easy Bloom. I also purchased a 100-gram packet of Easy Boost organic nutrition, to be mixed into the soil before transplanting, so that the plant is provided with the right nutrients from the very first days. For these first few days of germination, I helped myself with Soil Plugs since I did not have potting soil available yet. I moistened them well by dipping them in a cup of water and wringing them out well to remove the excess (being careful not to crumble them). Then I inserted the seed with the tip pointing downward directly into the small hole of the soil plug. I arranged them on a simple tray and stored them in a dark, covered place. To maintain the right level of humidity I covered them with a glass bowl, and when necessary I hydrate with a water misting spray. As for Ph levels, soil plugs help to keep it at pH 5.7 ± 0.2. One more thing that has fascinated me is relying on the phases of the moon, which also inspired me to write this journal. I would let the seeds to germinate in these days of Crescent Moon, in the hope that they will be born in conjunction with the Full Moon on April 6. I also took into account the zodiac signs theory, waiting for the moon to enter the earth sign of Virgo. We will see if it has any impact on growth. I may even be jinxing myself by starting this blog already. I will update the page in the coming days trusting to see this new generation of seedlings emerge. For the moment I will keep the number of strains success to 0, I'll update it later. See you soon! -planting_bythemoon

This first week went by so fast guys, and I am happy to tell you that all three seeds were born. Actually, two of them have germinated properly and have now formed their first little leaves, as you can see in the pictures. The third one, however, came out of the ground with the seed shell still attached to the sprout. I managed to remove it manually today, we will see in the coming days whether it will be able to hatch. However, they germinated in just three days, and it was not necessary to further moisten the soil plug. After that I prepared the vases. For each of these I mixed 30 grams of Easy Boost Organic Nutrition by RQS, with universal potting soil. I put the soil plug with the sprout directly into the soil and watered lightly. My plan is to grow them outdoors relying all on sunlight, I have to tell you that unfortunately they have not been very lucky these first two days, although the temperature has remained constant at 20 Celsius degrees. Wishing that everything is going well, we are waiting for next week to try Easy Grow pods from RQS together for the first time! See you soon guys! -planting_bythemoon

Now that I review last week's photos I can notice the differences. It's impressive! And this week went only with the Organic Nutrition of RQS mixed with the soil during the transplant. Unfortunately, it has not been sunny all week. It seems like they miss at least three days of grow, but it's only a feeling I have. Today I finally used the tablets of Easy Grow Organic Nutrition by RQS. I mixed one tablet in 5 litres of water, and I watered the plants very little. The mix may be conserved for about 7 days. I will use that twice per week, using regular water in between. I guess we can already see differences in the coming days! In the meantime, I am attaching two new photos and will update the page next Sunday. See you guys! And good luck to all the spring growers out there! -planting_bythemoon
