This weeks video is not to trick anyone or deceive anyone. These plants are tough and if you start them young at higher EC values they will adapt. Never feed them to the point of harm…if you start to see burnt tips on the leaves then back off the EC. I hope all my videos helped someone along this journey.
WEEK 7 TIME TO FLUSH FOR 2 WEEKS
NUTRIENTS USED THIS WEEK
PH’D WATER 5.8
It’s the end of week 7 and all is well. I will defoliate slowly over the next 2 weeks. All the major fan leaves will come off and any sugar leaves will be left in tact.
Temps will be lowered, especially nighttime temperatures. Shooting for 66 degrees and 40% humidity at night. Daytime VPD will stay consistent at 1.4.
CO2 will stop sometime this week. Really I am just looking to harden the colas not grow them any further.
This weeks video is about EC “stacking”. I think it’s a good one and blows some people’s misconceptions about EC build up in the substrate. Just like you can train your plants with trellis netting, so can you train them with high EC. YOUR ENVIRONMENT MUST BE RIGHT BEFORE TRYING THIS. High CO2 levels and warm temps are a must for this to work and maintain rapid growth.
Good luck guys and see you next week!
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, I meant you should think about making one and migrating your followers over there, Then you wont have any restrictions on your video length
Excellent, very nice. I still got g
Front row at home. I'm testing greenhouse feeding first and looking forward to seeing the front row with Lemom haze. How to perform.
@Ganja_Victoria_Aus, so far so good. I don’t feed with runoff every time. You gotta watch EC build up in the coco. So I flush 2x during flower with 1.0EC solution. Pretty good so far!
@Chuckwaggon420, thanks buddy. I think I got in way over my skeeze with the veg this time around lol. Next update, that I’ll probably post today, is outta control. They probably stretched over a foot in one week
Great tip! I grabbed a bottle of PK 13/14 this morning in anticipation of the upcoming bloom period. Think I always have too much N and not enough PK in bloom so I'm definitely using that week 2/5 flush tip. Big cheers 🍻
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, this is good, I feel better already. I'll start by going up 0.2 tonight and then let dry out two days or so for starters. I'll continue logging EVERYTHING haha. Thanks for this 🤟
@Louder, so usually the nutrients have a feed chart which seem to be pretty close. Unless you’re using a bottle of this and a bottle of that and mixing different nutrients. No matter how you’re doing it, I rarely go above 2.2EC. Only reason is because of “stacking”. You’ve got to let the substrate dry out SOME from feed to feed. Lots of reasons for this but the main reason is it lets the plants feed and also search for food. Plus as the substrate dries 40%, next time you feed, your EC’s from feeding to feeding will start to build and unlike just hammering the plant with high strength nutrients, this “building up of EC” will not hurt them. If I told you my runoff EC you would shit yourself. Last grow I said fuck it and checked…my meter went past 10.0 and gave me an error message 🤣😂🤣😂🤣. I flushed the plants to say the least but they were not harmed lol.
Start your plants at a small age at 1.0 and raise them to 2.0 by flower. Don’t feed with runoff every time (every third time)and flush 2x during flower…golden. If you see EC getting over 3 on runoff then feed just water twice and right back to full strength. You’ve only got one shot at big buds!
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, Appreciate the knowledge and good words man. Definitely not trying to kijack your comments page either!
Feeding is one thing I've never got right in coco. I guess I get paranoid of overfeeding, stunting growth and ruining my yields (which I'm probably doing by underfertilizing anyway). I really have no idea where I should be at for EC at this point. Don't think I've ever been over 1.8 at any time in any grow. If my runoff is like +0.3 what I put in, I drop back because of things I've read on coco growing about salt buildup. And to be fair, my bags look disgusting by the end so I assume I've overfed, and back off the next time too. So I see that's no good...
I never let the substrate dry, it probably stays like 80% saturated. Might be the one thing I do right along with nutrients every time. If I went downstairs right now and poured 1L into any one of those 5 gallon bags, I'd get a runoff of 100ml.
I need to veg at least another week because I've got a very small gnat issue to deal with before bloom. I have time to increase the EC, so how aggressive do you get with raising EC or like, how often do you increase the dose?
BRUH. Holy hell what have I missed! Those buds, Are GIANT and their just building up their structure to swell out into. Insane man, 10-11 weekers is what I See, But mammoth buds are in your future my friend. If this is the same old school batch that I grew back in the day, The smell is gonna blow your mind.
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, Gloves. We would go over the plants multiple times a day. The week of & week after of the first signs of bananas if you catch them all, The plant will phase out of producing any more. It is a TON of work. But saves getting a bag full of seeds
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, Always! Once we are up and running certainly. I think you got awesome lucky man, Unless our clone guy really just sucked & had no business supplying a 200 lighter. Our pink 2.0 clones came from a guy on the coast who topped all his plants & used the top's as our 3000 clones for pink 2.0 then the other 500 where always exotics that the owner used a local guy to the Shuswap & that is where the mandarin came from. The only good thing we ever got outta him was the Cake Crasher ( Travis cut ) The stuff hit 3lb a light with rock hard buds & had the complete package. for a solid week we had to watch it closely and pick off any bananas it threw off. 2 full beds, 100 plants & not 1 seed in the end. VERY high maintenance for that reason but I would say worth.
I grew some of these in DWC in around 2013 from greenhouse seeds. Still some of the most insane terps and nose from any crop to this day. Super excited to see you back at it man! I hope these diaries get the attention they deserve.
@FrontRowAG_BrianG, Yeah, I remember it having very high medical value. Its also develops needle point trichomes the stalked capitate trichomes, Which contain the most cannabinoids
@LegacyMarketFarm, yes and these were directly from Greenhouse Seed Co. Their genetics seem to be very stable for such a large company. This is super important and they seem to be top notch. I will say all 5 are growing at a fast pace and strong for only 6 days from the cup of water. They say the CBN is over 1% along with high THC 🤞
@Still_Smoq, thank you! I had full intentions on uploading a small tutorial video every week and it was harder than I thought. My actual job got in the way many of the weeks. But it turned out delicious and everyone who’s tried it has been flabbergasted
@Wastent91, I pounded these ones and they took every bit of the beating lol. Super strength nutrients and a whole bunch of flower sites made for a good run! Thanks for the follow. I’m gonna do a full mandarin cookies room the run after next when my mother plant I’m keeping from this grow is ready to put out 24 clones
@Louder, bro I’ve been so damn busy and have missed so much. I didn’t think I’d miss not talking with you guys as much as I have. Life lesson: Don’t always except the promotion at work 🤣😂🤣😂🤣💪🤣💪🤣💪
