7/24/23 - Day 42 - Ok, so where to start? I'm going to go over the last couple days of issues/troubleshooting. We had an issue with the lights not coming on for a whole day/night cycle. That was a couple of days ago, and everything seems okay since then. I had some Canoeing/tacoing on the leaves once the lights were back on. I think I had the PH too low, 5.8. In flower, I should start moving it up the scale. Once I corrected the PH to 6.2, the canoeing/tacoing in the leaves seemed to be gone/almost gone.
I'm REALLY worried about the height of the plant. She is only 12 in. from the light that I cannot move. I added a second scrogg net???? I don't know if that's done a lot, but I'm going to try and stop if from growing straight up. I think the best I can do is give it a lean. So Ill call this the ScoggGL (GangstaLean). You'll see some pictures up top as I start the ScoggGL
I did the first big trim and pulled a 3-gallon bucket of fan leaves out. I cut off a few side branches I didn't want the plant to waste energy on. I trimmed so many leaves off it was crazy. The smells have been awesome! You all know the smell of the fresh plant stems and leaves as you trim and rub across them. It's one of my favorite smells, which is in full effect.
I noticed that I have some pistils growing. I know what that means, shes going to have some flowers here in the next week. I couldn't be more excited!!!!!
The roots are just downright ruthless; they have been growing out of control. I have a great picture of them in there with no water.
I should note that I did two things that might have solved the Tacoing in the leaves. It could have been one or the other, but it also could be a combo of both things. I did the trimming to get some airflow between the leaves and changed the target for my PH from 5.8 to 6.2. When moving into flowering, I should have already done that. But I did both things while the leaves were Tacoing, and now they are not. I wanted to make sure I noted that.
7/26/23 - Day 44 - Things are looking great. No more tacoing, she's growing and still drinking about 2+ gallons a day of water. I hope the vertical growth stops soon, I want to remove a ton more fan leaves, and I'm hoping that it spends more time growing around than up, I'm keeping some leaves on just to slow some vertical growth.
7/27/23 - Day 45 - She's sleeping right now, but I will chop some more fan leaves when she wakes up. She's growing too tall, and I need to find a way to stop her. I think shocking her system will help stunt her growth. How crazy is this, what a conundrum I'm in. Normally I stress out trying to find the right time to trim to avoid stunting growth. I always keep my plants busy and do one or two chops. I think they need to grow as mother nature intended. Let them grow and do one, maybe two fan leave chops. That's always been my motto and its always worked out great for me. This is now the exact opposite. Feels weird even thinking about it, doing a leave chop two weeks into flower..... ARE YOU INSANE!!!!!! Lol
The 2nd chop has happened. I took a ton of fan leaves off. It's time for the plant to slow down heal and start working on the buds! Let's see how this goes over the next couple of days. I added a timelapse of me chopping her up.
7/28/23 - Day 46 - After adding more water last night, I was checking PH, and I did a quick check on the ppm from the nutes. If it went from 600ppm down to 130ppm in a couple of days. So we decided to give her another dose of nutes so she has something to eat. I'll update you after she wakes up for the day.

Hey Y'all! I placed in the top 10 for diary of the month for September. That makes me a WINNER! This is a very cool win. Thank you to www.GetLeaf.co for an amazing growing system.
@Chumpkilla,Nicely done!! Looks like you took 6th overall!
It looks like my outdoor version is almost there… The color has really started to take effect purple hues everywhere😁👍
@Patsguy207, Dude Flush starts the 17th, the choppa comes down on the 23rd! Im soooooooooooooooooo excited. I got my scale ready, im going to send it out to get tested for THC as well. So we'll get all the details!
@Patsguy207, It does! But when you open the door....... BOY does it get STANKY :) :) :). The smell from the unit has been nonexistent the whole time, but in the last couple weeks when you open the door there's no containing that. Also, I'm removing some heat from the room as well. Kinda of an over kill but that's how I do. :)
You are going to LOVE this thing. Let me know if you have any questions. I am about 2weeks away from my first harvest..... I may hit a new harvest record with this one! Its never been more fun to grow weed. This box has magical powers, the plant thrives! Youll notice when you start to train your plant. The plant recovers in minutes not days or hours.
Also PRO TIP! DO NOT let you plat veg past the 2nd scrogg net from the bottom..... I waited until almost 2.5/3rd rung of the Scrogg net........ You see my photos! I have little space now. I LOVE THIS THING.
@leafgrow, I want to click that harvest button so i can mark this as harvested, but I gotta wait until the dry weight. I cant wait to mark this as harvest!
What up Bud…
Great job on your grow. That leaf box sounds pretty awesome. I’m actually running an outdoor cut of G.Oasis, finishing up on week 9.(wish I could share some pics) I’m actually debating on bringing it into the tent to finish up the last few weeks and maybe not have to deal with the pests and night temps… Great job again C.Killa🤜🤛
@Navajo619, Thank you for the kinds words. Ill start my next grow in November, debating on Bubblegum auto or Skunk#1 Auto. Decisions, decisions. If you have the capabilities, I would for sure bring that baby in. Bugs are my worst nightmare! You should start a diary, I bet you have a few pics of each week.
Haha, sounds like you've entered the 'Skunk BOSS' level of the grow game! 🎮🌱 A true testament to the potency of your buds. If your garden had a tagline right now, it'd probably be 'Smell So Strong, It Should Come With a Warning Label.' 🚨 Keep rocking those gloves, and maybe consider some armor for your next encounter with the Skunk BOSS! 🛡️🌿
Wow. This looks amazing. I would love to learn your methods and techniques. All of it. Damn them ladies are nice. You did that with LED lights? I love the box and air flow all the above. Nice freaking work man. Now that I’m done sucking you off “lol” I’m thinking about switching to LEDs. But I fell into the LEDs hustle on Amazon and I’ve got 7 different LEDs that were $100 to $150. And they only VEG. Good.
@Grnthume, It will pay for itself, and it's CRAZY FUN. You get to focus on the fun parts. Best yet, ill get to stop buying it. Also Energy usage is super low, I have not noticed it on my power bill. So depending on how much you spend on it.... it could be a cost savings...... (girl math)
It does come with a Carbon filter that will work great. But as you see, it creates MONSTER buds that stink the last couple of weeks. The smell is contained, but when you open the door.... you'll want to open a window and blow the smell out. After the door is shut, the smell stays in the box.
@Chumpkilla,thank you. I’m definitely going to look into this. Does the smell stay in the box?it looks amazing. Wow you ain’t joking next level. These boxes are truly amazing. So futuristic
I’m getting one asap. Thank you for the hook up
I was saving for a supercharger to go on 2018 mustang gt. But I think I’m going to get the box instead.
@Grnthume, Ive grown with LED before and it was legit. This however is a WHOLE other level. The Box does all the work. https://www.getleaf.co/. There is work to do still, but you are literally farming and not worrying about engineering anything. Its all done for you, even the nutes.
Trust me, its worth it. I spent 10K on all my grows in the past, this is less than half of that and i can get 6oz every 3 months +/-
