Hi everyone!! It's been a long time...but I'm back 🙃 hope you're all doing fine and getting amazing harvests.
I've recently got my hands on a lot of amazing seeds, and this is one of them. Black Tuna is a Colombian seedbank with INCREDIBLE strains, hight THC, a lot of resin, etc. This is my first attempt with the Rum Punch strain.
I fucked it up a lot at first. The taproot quickly appeared on the glass of water on June 16th, so I buried it in a jiffy. She wasn't popping up so I dug around and thought she was damping off and dying because of the weird thin root, but I still buried her again. I had to do a surgical removal of the shell with tweezers. A while later and SHE'S ALIVE! I have high hopes for this strain, and the weather has been amazing for Cannabis growing.
Thank you for visiting and see you next week! (For real this time).
Hi everyone!! A week went by and she shows signs that she's a strong fighter!
I noticed the jiffy was being taken by mold. I'd only water when dry but still...so I decided to transplant her, even though the stress could kill. She gave up on the first root but started to form another (if you zoom in on the third picture you can see it) and I guess it's out of danger now.
Her second set of leaves is coming. I'm also germinating a Gorilla seed 🦍
Thank you for the visit and see you next week!
And once again she suffers from stress...she was okay, had roots coming out of the bottom of the cup, was starting to flow nicely. Then I left for work, when I came back my cats turned both cups (her and Gorilla) upside down.
I don't know how much time she spent in the sun like that, she was completely tossed on the ground. And I never found the Gorilla one, I think they ate it. I put her back on the container and gave her water with alg-a-mic. Hoping she pulls through :(
I gave them Churu last night, I feel so betrayed...
I guess she's alive! No stress this week, she's grown quite a lot compared to last week. I'm not sure if those lower leaves are brown because of stress or overwater, let's see how the next sets of leaves come.
Now that's a resistant strain! Excited
Hello!
A good week went by. Sun every day, not too hot or too cold, and I was able to keeo her stress free! She gets sun from 8 AM to 5 PM.
I've noticed her roots aren't that happy though, they start appearing at the bottom of the cup then die out...weird considering her major growth this past week.
Anyways, she's going to the ground this weekend. My first experience without vases, let's see how it goes! I've planted lavender and other aromatic herbs all around her future place.
Thank you for visiting and see you next week!!
Hi everyone!
She's been planted on her final location on Saturday. I also planted some fat gothic basil around her to help in stealth, and some cilantro to deter pests. My lavender is also huge, giving lots of flowers, it may help with smell. I had to cover with dry grass to prevent my cats from pooping there.
I started LST on Monday, I won't top because I want her to produce fast, I hope to harvest in january/february for my birthday, we'll see. I'm keeping some house lights at night to maintain her in veg for as long as I can.
Thank you for visiting and see you next week!
Hi everyone!
This week was quite steady, sun every day, a little dry but I prefer it like that. The plant seems to be enjoying too, she's grown a little.
I keep beding her and if you zoom in you can see new side growth. I'll try to veg her for another two months, but it'll be hard to keep the lights on at night when it starts raining again next month, I'll have to think of a solution.
Thanks for visiting and see you next week! A heirloom tomato as a bonus
Hi everyone!!
Anyone who reads this diary probably thinks this is plant abuse...I wasn't gonna top her but the universe had different plans. I put the line holding her too tighly and it cut off the main shoot, killing it. At least the side branches were already starting to develop and soon started tk take over.
We're having a very hot winter so I'm giving more alg-a-mic, also started bio heaven and bio grow.
Hi everyone!
I had to travel so she was on her own for a few days, no watering or rain for 5 days and she made it! Now that's what I call a weed. And the sun's been strong.
Her side branches grew a lot! The basils are also very happy, along with my carrots and tomatoes. 18 days separate today's picture from the last one (week 6). Plants are so amazing 😍
Hi everyone!
Weeks 9 and 10: some nice growth! I only realize how much she grows when I come back and update the diary, very useful.
I'm not pulling the wire so tightly anymore and I'm trying to use sticks to avoid cutting her tissue when bending. Seems to be working well. I am noticing a few curled leaves though.
Still giving the same nutrients. I plan to flip her to flower in early october. She's loving the sun every day, despite being super hot.
Also, the tomate hasn't stopped growing lol
Thanks for visiting and see you next week!
