Musicsean This week went by without any issues. The seedling has shown solid steady growth.
Still waiting for the roots to hit the reservoir.
I planned on running the DLI @12 but she begged for more so I cranked it to 16 and she seems happy there for now.

Musicsean The roots touched water on Wednesday! Gap is set to 1 inch and she has started to take off. I should probably change the reservoir but PH is so steady I don't dare mess with it. I'm concerned about the potential height of this plant. I hope it doesn't get too out of hand.
I will start slowly introducing nutrients this week. I will dose .5 ml of the flora series every other day.
I should really start seeing some explosive growth this week. I'm going to increase the DLI from 20 to 25.

Musicsean The roots hit the reservoir on Wednesday. Growth is looking great. A little rust on the tips of the lower leaves. Added some calmag and only added nutes on Sunday and Tuesday. Just playing it safe. My focus now is keeping the temperature down and staying on top of the ph. Water change scheduled for this weekend.

Musicsean Thrips!!!!! All else is good. Just going to use need oil to try to get rid of them. Despite the infestation, the plant is holding her own. I will be increasing the DLI to 40 this week.

Musicsean While working on getting rid of the thrips, the heat in the reservoir brought about root rot. I nearly lost her but rinsed the effected area with3% hydrogen peroxide and changed the reservoir. After a few treatments she is finally recovering. I suspect this week she will start to show some preflower.
My apologies for not documenting the root rot and treatments. I got caught up in fixing the problem and completely forgot to take photos.

Musicsean Root rot is back. I am unable to keep the water temperature low enough. As a result the plant is stunted. I am trying anything and everything to fight off the root rot.

Musicsean Another week of fighting the heat, thrips and root rot. I'm proud of this girl. Like me, she may not look like much, but, if you know what she has been through, you know she's actually quite a miracle.
I will keep working to keep her going. Hopefully the cooler weather in the forecast will help me fight off the root rot.
