NowayReggie is SUPER EXCITED TO GROW GTH #1. The first time experiencing this strain was in seattle and it was amazing! If I had one Sativa strain I could smoke for the rest of my life it would be this strain. We were at a Convention in '22 and it was hard choice between these and Rare Dankness Moonshine's Ghost Train... We went with the 6pk. of GTH Honestly, this would be my second time trying as the first two seeds out of the 6 were the white looking immature ones and i kinda figured they werent going to pop for us...no worries.. Gave it a few days to let the bummer go away and got back to it with theses..... It took 4 and half days for the first seed to pop. ----------------------------------------------------- nowayReggie -------------------- Happy Grow Days

8.1 Honestly the hardest part of the grow phase for nowayReggie is the seedling phase. -Transplated into the 5 gallon fabric pot and over watered. - Repotted it in a start pot and came right back. -Watering with NO nutrients as I want to take clones from her.

Week 3--- I overwatered the soil and it got soggy. This was in the 5 gallon fabric pot so i repotted it in a small black seed starter and it is really growing now .. I did not take any pictures this week, I do apologize. --------------------------------------------------- nowayReggie

week 4 Was a little impatient, mix of overwatering and too large of a pot. Reduced back to this size.... spent some outside time in fresh screened in sunlight and this girl is back growing! Will give it another week before i repot into 5 gallon fabric pot again. -- really would like to take some cuttings so as to not have to start from seed again. --------------------------------------------------- nowayReggie

8.18 Shes back at it. 8.20 5 Gallon Fabric Pot 8.21 topped (snapped the stem in the middle - wtf- doing too much) Soil: FoxFarm - Tree Frog Soil Coast of Maine - Buds & Blooms , Stonington Blend Plant Training: LST She took off the week. I could flip her and she would fill out this tent...probably outgrow it at this pace. I plan on training it all the way around the pot. I have to be careful because GTH has a very long flower.. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ nowayReggie

9.10 Happy Plant, finally. My anxiousness to grow this got the better of me and cost me a few weeks. I am extremely happy to have topped this. -- I feel that this is going to be a beast! I plan on taking some cuttings and really training her in flower. These are feminized but to see the pistals already is impressive! 9.13 Happy birthday! Now that she is 2 months old I am going to take cuttings today. She has already shown pre-flowers +I will be starting a new journal and will be very in depth with my grow from here on out! +I do invite you to check it out. I was really excited to train her. The lowest branch ended up growing into the main stem. Im not mad... It was strudy but not at all barked up. It was about six nodes and working on grow a new shoot. This will turn into a mighty plant. If i have to I will cut the part of the stem that is outside of the pot. I love growing things and i'm excited to see how this turns out. I hope you are too! After taking cuttings, she will be trained well and will go into the flowering tent sunday Watered after taking the cuttings with week1 feed of the drip hydro dialed in schedule -I used this because I thought it would be the easiest transition into the flowering nutrient schedule.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- nowayReggie

Temps in area are noticeably starting to drop. Have stabalized temps in grow room to 70* F. Watered with week 4 feeding schedule yesterday and soil is starting to dry faster. SHES GETTING HUNGRY! haha Plant has been growing very well - The stretch over the last few days and certainly last night is nothing short of IMPRESSIVE! Cleaned her up on the underside. Areas receiving inadequate light. If these plants werent trained they'd be taller than Wilt Chamberlain. Having never trained a plant so agressively - beyond happy with the results. The plant is grow so vigorously. The canopy is extremely even and filling in the scog beautifully! "Could" water it lets see how it goes over night. humidity at 50% - steady I AM a gardener. I love to grow all things "PLANTS" and to get to watch a plant like this grow OVERNIGHT is so satisfying. Instant gratification - fulfilled! Happy with how the scrog has filled in - Will let the plants to their thing here on out. If they still are stretching might tie them down, but at this point i dont believe it will be necessary. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- nowayReggie

Some branches were growing on top of each other. -Simple fix with the scrog - Clipped spindly branches on bottom,[no light penetration] -Watered one Gallon - yesterday Evened the canonpy. Its pretty flat Trimmed lower leaves and LOW branches. When I first started I never wanted to cut the stuff that I cut off the plant now. Sometimes now ill give it a day or two and see and ultimately its always prune it off. I always think back to what the final results were and they were never satisfying - in terms of spinedly branches. I rasised the light to 30 inches. Would like even coverage now in the corners. In the next few weeks now we should see some nice growth. -------------------------------------------------- Cultivate Your Craft. Grow well my friends.. - nowayReggie

Last week of feeding schedule for drip hydro feeding schedule before the flush time Extremely happy with the grow to this point. I dont believe the plant will be finished at the 80 day mark with the nugs STILL getting bigger and denser[im not complaining] and the hairs have yet to start to turn. Sugar leaves are starting to frost. Very even canopy. Raised the light to 90% and raised the light to reach the corners and the outer edge evenly smells of LEMON AND pungent Hairs are starting to turn orange! ----------------------------------------- nowayReggie p.s. - The clone diary had to be discontinued... sorry. Feeding everyday with a gallon of water with a spray mister. Its been the first time watering like this and now researching automatic drip systems... Before it was out of the gallon jug and will probably never do that again.

Life scheduled events and had to cut it short a few days and harvest day -NO MATTER WHAT - would have to be the 10th. putting us at Day 75 of flower Flushed with 17.5 gallons Considering water was filtering through soil, it drained ABSOLUTELY clear by the last emtpying of the container I was using to catch Buds are fattening up very nicely. I did not & was not intending on having to water till harvest but I was not liking the droop on the leaves before "night" time -watered no more than a half gallon Leaves perked right back up Did light defoliation -Last day of Daylight... then 48 hrs of darkness before harvest. Here we are it feels good to get to the end. 48 HRS of darkness. sunday we harvest I enjoy the entire process, from start to finish. Harvest whole plant in two[2] sections Better words for the smell/aroma being LOUD - well, emphatically, intense, powerfully and, this is a new one stentorian🎯 yes, stentorian, it very much is! Not too many of the big fan leaves, but these little little sugar leafs will be fun to trim. Ghost Train Haze #1 has a citrusy smell resembling lemons or lemon pine-sol with a sour funk. When consuming, expect to be very clear-headed. One may very well be on their way to having many profounding epiphanies. Would consider this strain as "Daytime" and able to accomplish many tasks throughout the day as well! Have consumed at night when trying to complete office work. No racing thoughts, no anxiety, very calming, but NOT sedating... You WILL BE UP-beat and Lively! It'll bring a smile to your face and you'll be able to laugh if you so choose! For ANYONE, that has NOT tried this yet you are in for a treat. A self-proclaimed Indica lover and after this strain I greatly and with appreciation have a new love for Sativas. Thank you Rare Dankness and thank you, Ghost Train Haze #1!

Reviews on the strain said that it was going to be difficult to grow. For me atleast, I wouldnt classify it as difficult so much as I just made grower errors - which of course cost some time. 3-4 weeks. I didnt ph the water, the plant didnt show signs of any problems. I would have liked to finish growing the clones taken from this plant - life came up and attention to those plants were lacking.. Would have also let it continued to flower as long as needed if said life events didnt come up. I DID feel like it could have gone slightly longer. When the system is more dialed in and more experience under my belt, having two (2) more seeds - will try it again in the future. Being my first time growing a reported difficult strain to grow I am happy with my results. Definitely tested my patience and mental resolve, but as a gardener, I allowed the plant to talk to me... Very happy on the decision to Scrog. I could NOT have imagine what would have happened if left untrained like last grow. Nugs were long and dense(not super dense) I thank you all for your support! Very nice! These can flower forever! It's at the top of my list. GTH gives THE best aroma of all I've tried for the past 30 years. (Insert grandpa emoji). ? <3 Check out my diary on Somali Ghost Train, if interested..

@Shijo_Kingo, you said in that diary that they were hard to clone... I had taken 4 cuttings off of this plant. They did take about the same time to root. I had a diary going but had to cut it off. Before cutting it short, I felt that there wasnt the same vigor, wasnt sure if it was due to them being taken for FEM or not giving the proper attention they deserved.. Look forwawrd to more of your grows with your RARE DANKNESS💯
Shijo_Kingo
Shijo_Kingocommenteda year ago
@nowayReggie, Yes! both GTH and the Somali Ghost Train are well worth the wait. Both have incredible potency and a one of a kind aroma. The SGT yields more but the GTH is slightly better in my opinion and finishes a bit faster. I've got two GTH mother plants atm that will be cloned and grown in the same fashion as the plants in my other diaries. Feel free to check it out :-). Enjoy the manicure!
