Just potted and watered these sprouts that germinated 2 days ago in wet paper towel. Didnt get a chance to pot until now. You can see the first little budlet showing on the right pot. Left pot i put the sprout a bit deeper to see if it makes a difference.
Top 1/3 of soil is seedling and cutting soil from a shop and the bottom 2/3 is a pretty low effort/attempt home made super soil. Will see how this goes.
So 1 of the original 2 didnt make it. Ive just repotted the one that did make it into a 5l ghetto fabric pot and given her a water too. probably should have watered yesterday before transplanting but didnt have the time. have also planted 3 babies 2 weeks ago and so they are starting up as well. i think my starting soil os a bit hot? might explain why the first leaves are all munted.
Alright :) watering time and its been a few days since ive even looked at them. i should really remember to take pics before i start working on them. You can see ive tied down the original tree since it has grown a bit more. i think i will train it into a circular shape around the fabric pot. Will see how that goes. The triplets are going well. 1 of them was looking a little worse for wear being in a smaller pot and probably thirsty as well so repotted into a bigger pot with some of my ghetto super soil. I also fimmed/topped the triplets to help build out the scrog a bit later. Maybe another week before i turn to flower. i dont have a lot of space in this 50L tote.
So decided to turn these over to flower. I dont have a lot of space and i have 4 mini trees growing. im keen to see how these all pan out since theyve each been treated slightly differently.
It was time to water the babies and they were looking great when i opened up the lid. unfortunately i didnt get to water them until after lights off so hopefully i didnt mess them too much with ruining their darkness.
As i took them out to water i spotted BALLS!! 2 of them had turned out hermy. Chopped down 1 and fed dropped it in for the worms to eat. The other ive left outside in a hidden space as a bit of a experiment to see how it goes in that space.
So im left with 2. transferred 1 of them that was in a small pot into a larger pot since i now have the space in the totes. forgot to take a pic of the 2 left in their with heaps more space to stretch. will have to wait for next update to see.
Watering time again. missed the update last week. Watering is around twice a week, every 3 or 4 days and the soil is quite dry each time i get to it. anyway, just trimmed a few of the lower budlets off to promote stonger growth in the top bud sites. Added a little bit of fresh worm castings with some worms into the larger pot. you can see the foliage colours are starting to drain out of it so im hoping some worm casting will help give some extra nutrient boost.
all in all, going well and looking forwards to the next 6 weeks or so of fattening up. dammit... just remembered i might go on holidays over christmas... will have to come up with a watering method while away.
its been a couple weeks and they are fattening up. not quite as much as what i see in other peoples growa but im quite happy considering this is my first. will havw to get onto this molasses stuff for next time.
So i harvested 1 tree. i think it was ready and im going away next week so want to start drying now and hopefully by the time i go, i can have them in a jar curing so i can leave the wife to just burp.
buds had 80% brown and curly hairs and trichs were 80% cloudy. Also, even some sugar leaves were starting to really go yellow and brown.
im going to try and let the other one run longer. atm its still 60% brown hairs and 50% cloudy. so want to leave that one until 20% amber.
ok. last tree has been cut down. not sure what the wet weight of this one is, but it should be a lot more than the last one. but im pretty happy with this one. she got nice and fat at the end and will hopefully dry well and give a good bounty. the tree i cut last week has dry weighed at .5ounce. still curing before i sample.
