7/31/23 - Popped taproot after 24 hours floating in a shot glass of distilled water covered with foil. Left floating for another 24 hours - taproot about 1/4". Planted in Pro Mix HP with the top few inches spray-dampened. Watered with 30ml 6.2pH dechlorinated tap water. No nutes. Covered with humidity dome. 81F in tent, 70% humidity in tent.
8/1/23 8pm - WOW super fast - she sprouted today!
8/1/23 - WOW fast sprout! Was surprised to see her popping up - barely 3 full days since I dropped the seed in water. Checking morning and night to make sure soil under the dome is not dry, spraying with a spray bottle (6.2pH dechlorinated tap water).
8/2/23 Day 2 - here come the leaves! Keeping dome on today, misted the top of the soil morning.
8/3/23 Day 3 - misted top of the soil in the morning. Keeping dome on. 78F overnight, 83F daytime, 65-70% humidity in tent. Lights at 250 ppfd.
8/4/23 Day 4 - 10ml 6.2pH dechlorinated tap water and misted top of soil. Removed humidity dome. Increased lights to 345 ppfd (growing along with a plant a few days ahead of this one). 84F daytime, 70% humidity in tent.
8/6/23 Day 6 - probably should've misted the top soil twice yesterday - just did morning. Soil was dry. Split a half gallon of water between 3 plants this morning to give them a little splash. Same tent conditions.
8/7/23 Day 7 - misted top of soil this morning. Same tent conditions.
Day 8 - 8/8/23 - haven't done a full pot soak yet (next feed I will) - just a splash of water with nutes from the other plants (about 30ml). Temp in tent is a little lower with the exhaust fan now on, 78F and 65% humidity.
Day 9 - 8/9/23 - same, splash of nute water from the other plants, probably 10ml - once the soil dries up I'll full pot soak with its own nutes. It seemed ready to take on some nutes so I went with my gut.
Day 10 - 8/10/23 - soil looked good. Did not water. Tent 78F, 65% humidity.
Day 11 - 8/11/23 - sprayed top with splash of nutes. Going to let this dry out and then do the full gallon in a couple days. Tent 78F, 67%.
Day 12 - 8/12/23 - all good, did nothing.
Day 13 - 8/13/23 - still damp so I did not water. Humidity down to 53% last night as humidifier ran out.
Day 14 - 8/14/23 - still all good. Did nothing.
Day 15 8/15/23 - all good, did nothing.
Day 16 8/16/23 - still all good. Tent 80F, 60%.
Day 17 8/17/23 - 1 gallon 1-2-1-1 6.3pH.
Day 18 8/18/23 - all good. Top of plant reads 420 ppfd light. Added some soil to the top since I had under-filled to start.
Day 19 8/19/23 - all good.
Day 20 8/20/23 - all good.
Day 21 8/21/23 - watered 1-4-1-2 6.3pH. Nutes were 700ppm. Runoff was 300ppm. Measured 6" tall.
Day 32 (week 2 flower) 9/1/23 - should've jumped to flowering nutes last week. Watered 1/2 gallon today 6.45pH 1-5-3-6 (week 7 on feed chart). Would've waited 1 more day to water but she was a little light and wanted to get onto the same feed schedule with the other plant in the tent. Took her off the riser - since I didn't top her, the main cola is shooting up too close to the light. Adjusted to around 620ppfd at the majority of the canopy (slightly higher for the main cola). Added second oscillating fan in the tent and added a fan outside the tent blowing in to the vent window, hoping to bring down humidity. Lung room is around 50%, tent is around 60%. Turned up exhaust fan as well.
Day 34 (week 2 flower) 9/3/23 - 1 gal 1-5-3-6 6.5pH, no runoff. Lights 620-700ppfd.
Day 36 9/5/23 - 1 gallon 1-5-3-6, 6.5pH.
Day 37 9/6/23 - 77F, 62% average. Ordered dehumidifier for lung room.
Day 39 9/8/23 - week 3 flower. bumped to week 8 on feed chart. Turned up exhaust to 100%. 1 gallon 1-5-5-9, 6.5pH. Stretch seems to have stopped.
@Seedsman, Thanks!! Super-fast sprout - literally 3 days from dropping the seed in a shot glass to poking through the soil! It's my first grow so knock on wood I can do her justice!
