I’m not good at regular reporting but here is my mid September 2023 update & I am including info on some of my other plants in addition to the two Afghan plants.
Of the 11 plants growing 10 are well into their bloom phases & I feel pretty good about the potential for harvest this year though it is still 2 to 4 weeks until they’re mature. Just today I noticed a few of the pistils beginning to change from white to orange & the flower structures are really beginning to fill out the branches.
I’ve cut way down on any additional nutrients as my soil should easily provide anything the plants need at this point in the season, that said I am adding malted barley flour weekly at a rate of approx 1 cup plus per plant & watering it in. I will possibly add some Ag Sil & Sea Phos but that’s probably just to make me feel involved🤖
The weather here in the PNW has been warm & dry with a similar forecast for they next few weeks so my need to do anything much is not very demanding other than monitoring for health & pest problems.
Growing plants from Ethos has been a good first experience, their descriptions are reasonably accurate though my idea of a medium plant size is 6’ to 8’ & these are in the 10’ range but I did not do any topping so…
I’ve previously grown plants from Twenty20 & HSC so knew what to expect though my Snow Girl is well over ten feet & stretching -
Will try to get another update out prior to harvesting and will try to get the post harvest info posted as well
Wishing you all a happy harvest
Any way you could post pics of the actual buds? No offense, but your pics really don't show much other than the structure of the plants bc they're so far away.
