ITTY-BITTY..! The strain Royal Dwarf from RQS lives up to its name! She's a genetic mixture of Skunk + Ruderalis And is looking to be a very powerful lil Autoflower. Short. At only 15 inches tall and yet growing 30 nuggets so far! She (Itty-Bitty) is one of the plants I've selected to enter into the 2024 Autoflower Cannibus Cup which is taking place in Las Angeles next year! Wish me luck you guys!!!

@Dabking, High, ;) Because I want to use an auto I was wondering WHy it stayed in VEG. so long. Now I read that it has to do with the lenght of the rootsystem. I have been searching for info on this. Want to use the Royal Dwarf but want some more info before I start. Any good link/tutorial on this before I plunch into my first growth? Thanks in Advance, Renco42033

Always best to start in your final pot just sp ur aware More so with autos , less shock . So u don't want to really handle autos like that (nor top autos) unless ur environment is top notch (as in u have VPD , DLI , Ec Ph all correct and working together then u can top and transplant type if thing) Hope that makes sense. Just saw u weren't to positive if that would make it grow slow or be bad. It's the best option , I usually soak my bean, then papwr towel till it cracks/shows a tail , then I plant right in either 5 or 7 gal in soil or a 3 gal for coco. But best of luck with ur Lil ladies !

@Grow4Releaf, Did you see how she transplanted it? Genius idea, she just put the smaller pot inside the larger one, no stress at all. Ive topped autos before, bit only the bigger ones.

Hi, They're looking good. My RD is a little behind where it should be, I under fed them to start, but she's healthy. I'll keep watching yours, it's good to compare. Have fun!

Buona fortuna! :)

@Gabroxxx, will it grow FASter now that it's in a smaller pot, better air flow in the soil, the big pot was choking the seedling roots, and thick soil. I hope now that I fixed the problem the Triple G will grow back on track

IndicaVibeMecommenteda year ago
@Gabroxxx, I got 6 friends, needs all the luck I can get! questions: I started a different seedling in a big 3gallon pot -so I recently just transplant into a smaller1 cuz it was growing slow, will

So are you planning to move them outside or in grow box? For sure they'll need more light very soon!

@DeepWaterGrower, I have a few grow lights, but only 2 are like Top of the line--. Lumigrow 650W, then another full spectrum 1000W [haven't used it yet] I stick with the Lumigrow 650 *it's got dials* for now & combine with a green light, & smaller LEDS

The longer the pot, the longer plants will stay in veg. Once the roots hit their end point they tell the plant it can't go further and goes into flowering. Autoflowers go off time rather than photosynthesis but you will still delay them longer than short and fat pots/containers.

THIS Royal Dwarf is only 6 days from popping up out of the soil (Oct 3rd 2023, it's the 9th today so.) Idk why it says weeks on the profile

Hi mate, I wouldn't put her in 12/12 if I were you, autos want the light so I'd just let her run. Give her as much light as you can and hopefully she'll catch up.

@IndicaVibeMe, if something's working then why not stick with it but it would suggest that it's not an auto. I'd pm RQS and see if this happens sometimes.
IndicaVibeMe
IndicaVibeMecommenteda year ago
@Nanuck,ok :) I don't plan on topping this one. But I'll make sure the Buds are compact
Nanuck
Nanuckcommenteda year ago
@IndicaVibeMe, in my limited experience with autos they've all gone in to flower on their own at week 4. If yours didn't I'd double check that you are growing an auto and you can always msg RQS and see what they say.

High, My 1st post ever here hoping it's within guideline. Loving the info, I have a question about it beeing a auto flowering (I pressume) howcome the 7 weeks of vegetative stage. The height of less then 40cm (38.1) was this without topping Her? I think you'll have a beauty on yer hands. GoodGrow and a Good 2024 for everyone, Renco42033

@Renco42033, also: this royal dwarf was made from a male Ruderalis father plant and a Skunk phenotype Mother, so perhaps the Moms genetics showed up more dominant in my seedling? All autoflower are different even those from the same batch.

@Renco42033, Yes correct, I've never topped the Royal Dwarf, she's the only one I didn't do much training on. Well actually MY weeks are off on my grow diary, i will try and fix it. She popped up out of soil on Oct 3rd, and she didn't start flowering until I put her in 1 day full darkness. (5-6 weeks is more accurate, that's when I first saw her gender appear) still its longer then my other Autos who stayed in veg for only 2 weeks I know Itty-Bitty WOULD have automatically flowered eventually--but I was eager to see the white hairs. When I put her on 12/12 she switched, immediately. I know some might disagree but that's what happened with MY auto, I don't know why she stayed in veg so long, but it WAS a month & 1/2 before she started to preflower Also my plant was possibly stunted early on, she got hurt and I had to transplant. But yeah this is my 1st Grow too but I learned from a Master Grower, so any questions feel free. Usually Autos do no veg so long, but this one did until I forced her to bloom lol
