This week all plants hit 4 nodes and are growing with vigor. Today (day 29), I decided to perform the final topping by removing nodes 4 and 2 from each stem. We're getting hit with a random heat wave so reinstalled my AC unit to keep temps down. Yesterday was slightly warmer than usual and I've noticed some pheno's from this lot do not handle heat well at all... very stressed even at 82F. So praying my little AC will do the trick and get me through to cooler temps.
@Tonino, thanks! Praying at least two are girls... these are regular seeds that were gifted to me. Normally, I'd go for feminized seeds to make the all of the training worth it...
In any case, I'll be definitely cloning the females that come out of this!
@PussyWagon6969, listen, this was just my advice, only because they look a little distressed as is, however I have read from more experienced growers that you can do both at the same time. So I just want to impart their experience to you. So the only reason I suggested you wait is that they are under a little stress. Hope it works out either way. Also, I've read that you should wait to top til the 3rd or 4th node appears.
@BeefWellingtons, they're actually regular seeds that were gifted to me. So I planted a few more than normal just incase I get a few males or mess up a topping operation.
