cannaberry I used a white Bounty paper towel cut in half, soaked in RO water. I placed the seed in the middle and folded it over. Lightly pressed the paper towel around the seed and added a few more drops of RO water and placed this in a plastic sandwich baggie. I placed this inside a white sandwich shaped container with a lid and placed it under a black cloth and put on top of my cable box.
Within 24 hours it was starting to pop. After 36 hours I was able to place the seed in a rock wool cube that had been soaking for 12 hours in RO water that was pH'd to 5.5. I placed the cube into a small grow tray with lid and placed it back on the cable box under the same black cloth.
It came up within 24 hours. I placed the tray in the grow tent with the grow light dimmed, 24 inches above the lid. I left the lid on for the first 24 hours and opened the vents on the lid. After I removed the lid I used the pH'd water I soaked the cube in to keep it moist. Within 5 days I had roots coming out of several locations on the cube. At this point I placed it in a 6-gallon Black Magic grow pail with Lotus nutrients and pH'd to 5.8.

cannaberry Plant is looking good. Growth is very fast with this nutrient solution. The pH is rising no higher than 6.3. I aim to keep it pH'd to 5.9. I can visually notice growth each day. I take readings of the nutrient solution every day and adjust pH and ppm as needed.
The last week of the germination stage I noticed small orange spots on the lower leaves. In my experience, this means a Cal-Mag deficiency beginning. I began adding Cal-Mag at the beginning of the 1st week of vegetation, and this took care of the problem. New growth looks good.
At the end of the third week I removed leaves that were on the bottom. When I would open the grow pail for readings they would fall into the pail and get wet. I didn't want to risk diseased leaves so I removed them.
At the beginning of the 4th week, or 2nd week of vegetation, there is a smell when I open the tent for readings. There are hairs forming between the nodes.
cannaberry Continuing to monitor pH and ppm everyday, and adjust as needed. Plant is showing good growth and the signs of Cal-Mag deficiency have stopped.

cannaberry She has begun to show yellow tipped leaves. I have cut back the amount of nutrients and raised the grow light. The smell is getting stronger.
