Purple Queen (Newcomer)

Hello everybody, I am an absolute newcomer and am grateful for any advice. In my new apartment I have the opportunity to fulfill my little dream and have bought myself a homebox with suitable equipment. I have read the last weeks intensively in the topic and just hope to take with my first grow a good experience for the next attempt. Practice creates masters. I chose Royal Queen Seeds for the Purple Queen Seeds variety and planted them in suitable seedling soil. I think the result after a week is quite amazing. Now the fresh plants are under a metal halide lamp with 400 watts in my Growbox. Regrettably, a misadventure happened to me, I fell down the stairs with the small plants of my hand and in 6 out of 9 plants the main trunk is broken. I will consider the last 3 plants as an experience and try to grow. I would be grateful for any advice, special about amounts of fertilizer and amount of water from the third week. I find the topic very exciting, unfortunately I can not talk to friends or family about it. I hope to get some exchange here. Best regards Knobination

Hello everybody! This week did not feel very good. After all, after my fall from the stairs at least 6 out of 9 seedlings survived, the others unfortunately died. I quickly realized that the theory differs significantly from the practice. I have the impression that the plants have grown too little in this second week due to the following problems: - too high temperature - too low humidity - injured plants - transplant too early - too big pot at the beginning I had a high focus on buying a very high quality equipment, but I have to reflect the fact that the 400 W metal halide lamp has unfortunately oversized and the heat prevents the plants from growing rather than producing. I will try to bring my first grow to a clean conclusion anyway, to avoid or reduce mistakes in the future. I started fertilizing the plants 3 days ago and have seen a positive development, I'm also unsure whether I use too much fertilizer and will spend the rest of the week just with water. Dear Grow community, my third grow week was really confusing. I got the same problems with the temperature this week, difficult to get a grip. I notice that due to work and the lack of time during the day, the temperature sometimes reaches a peak of 32 degrees. However, I have the feeling that the plants are really developing great and started reading other guides about Purple Queen. My first impression is that it is sometimes larger than the average, with growth due to the high temperature should actually be inhibited. On the whole, I am satisfied with my previous work. I'm already pretty excited as the plants evolve. Likewise, I have slightly reduced the addition of fertilizer. I think I used too much in the beginning. Luckily the earth was not fertilized. =) I always find it amazing how fast everything grows. Were you just as impatient and curious at the time of your first grow? Best regards, Knobination

Dear community, this week has made a great impression, because the plants have laid a significant growth spurt. I think they look very good, a strong green color, thick trunk and a nice pleasant smell. Due to the cooler temperatures, my problem has dissolved into air and the circumstances for the plants have improved significantly. The amount of fertilizer I have regulated slightly down and think I get good results on this way. I've read in most grow guides that the plant should be flowering after four weeks, but I've decided to wait another week. How far does the plant continue to grow during flowering? Had a size of 50-60 cm targeted to switch to the sodium vapor lamp. Today I will install my automated irrigation system because I'm traveling professionally for the weekend. I'm almost not looking forward to the nice hotel or congress I'm attending, but to see more about how much my little ones have grown. Best regards, Knobination
