ernest_twwg December 14th, 2023:
Testers for karma.
I have a feeling this pack is going to bring some friggin' heeeeaaaaat.
From what I understood, this is Karma's version of Zkittles that he crossed with Guava Gelato. Getting a pheno with those pineapple terps would be amazing, so I have my fingers crossed for that.
It's an absolute honor to grow for one of my favorite breeders and I hope I don't disappoint.
Arise, burning bushes!
Arise!
December 24th:
Got a live one!
December 30th:
Twelve out of fifteen seeds have popped, so far. I'm going to start week one of veg this week, so next week will be advancing the journal!
11am, UPDATE: #13 popped. 13/15, so far.

One seedling died off, unfortunately.
Hopefully I'll be able to round up enough pots to transplant them, soon.

It's time to transplant and warm these girls up.
I installed a heater to hold the temperature around 73°F for the next week.
I need to get a humidifier. I want the overall humidity in the tent to be higher.
Starting making soil, today. I brought in a few sacks of horse compost to thaw. Tomorrow, I'll break it all up and make supersoil with it. Then, it's time for transplanting!
I'll be transplanting them to 1.5 gallon pots, making sure to keep the phenotypes labeled properly.

Bumped the temperature up to 73°F and brought them out of stasis.
Pheno #5 is the only one with a root popping out of them bottom of the cell, so it's getting transplanted today. I'm going to keep an eye on the rest of them, so I don't miss transplanting them at the right time.

All the babies got new pots for the time being. They're starting to sprout up and gain momentum, which is nice.
The humidity is still off a bit, but should be taken care of by next update.

Two phenos are looking rough, but all the others are doing good.
I checked the two to see how their soil was. It felt dry throughout, so I watered them. The next day, they were still droopy and looked a little worse. This morning there was still no improvement. Hopefully they recover.
Still no humidifier delivered. I can't wait for it to show up so I can get the VPD in this tent to where it needs to be.

Gave the little Runts (heh, because they're Runtz) a top dressing of worm castings / peat moss / BuildASoil Craft Blend.
I have some rolls of training ties on the way and should be here by the weekend. It's past time to start training these kids.

I sprayed everything with an organic fungicide/insecticide the day before photos and didn't wait quite long enough before I flipped the lights back on. Some spots on fan leaves got bleached because of it, unfortunately. I even dropped the light intensity and forgot to turn it back up.
This is the last day of a springtime temperature stress test. One plant was culled earlier in the week due to poor growth (pheno #1) and weak structure. There are two others that are dwarfed by the others as well, so I moved them out of the 8'×8'. Their growth just isn't quite there compared to the others.
Temperature was adjusted to 75°F after photos were taken.
Finally started LST.
Pheno#3 is looking the best, so far. There are three others in the running for second place, at the moment. But, all of them are pretty uniform as far as structure goes. All have very broad leaves and no sign of narrow leaf dominance at all.

ernest_twwg The stem rub on a few of the phenotypes smells like Bubblicious Cotton Candy bubble gum.
Light intensity is at 30%.
Lights off time was for IPM sprays. Hit the kids three times this week. I'm going to hit them three times next week, as well. Time to start prepping them for flower and gotta make sure they're clean!

Everything is running smoothly. I used some bedding and worm castings to top dress and awoken some aphids. So, I have to deal with that throughout the week. Hopefully I can kick them in 4 or five days. I need to get some granulated sulfur.

Still working on training the canopy down some to make it even.
It looks like each plant is female, so far. Which is insane, considering this is a pack of regular seeds.

Some plants needed topped, since they were a good 8" above the rest of the canopy. But, everything is trained, pest free, and ready to explode.

Pulled 6 of these plants, due to being males.
Some weird stuff is going on with the new growth of some plants. I've tried dropping the light intensity, checked pH runoff, checked the roots, and can't seem to figure it out.
I looked at each plant with a 30×-60× jeweler's loupe and didn't see any signs of bugs that chomp.

These girls have been outside since May 1st.
They kept stacking for a few weeks, and once they started throwing ones, I removed the bigger buds on it.
Let the monster cropping begin!
So far, none of the plants have shown any hermaphrodite traits. I'll keep checking for them each time I look over the plants.

Each plant successfully revegged and has lots of nice, fresh growth.
LST training this week, to spread out branches and let veg properly before it finishes stretching.
No signs of intersex traits. These genetics are as tough as nails!
Harvest time is only a few months away.
