Branches that broke off in the wind have been turned into clones and will be grown indoors under 18/6.
I dont plan to do a very long veg with these clones, i just want them to gain some structure and a few bud sites then im gonna flip them to flower.
Just a light feed with veg nutes using the seedling recommended dosage
All the clones are in cups now with beautiful roots on all of them.
The first two clones to root are in the larger pots.
Not sure what to do with the other clones yet, Will give some away to friends maybe.
Their feed is all the same, a low dosage seedling feed. I have seen such amazing results from the Symbionics Fermented Molasses and Amino Acids which seem to producing thick green roots and such a healthy overall look.
I dont really plan to let these girls veg out too long, i want to try flipping them early off and seeing the outcome.
The clones are doing well, i almost feel that the younger clones in the cups are growing faster than the older ones in the larger pots.
Roots are already poking out the bottom of the cups. It's like the plants grow once the roots have covered the area, so perhaps the roots in the larger pots are having to grow longer?
I could be imagining things too haha.
Their feed is still a low dosage seedling feed, i fed the ones in the cups as well adding calmag granules to the solution as a fertilizer for the coco.
Im going to keep 4 of the clones in cups, im going to hand the others over to some friends to take care of.
My plan is to flip the clones to flower early off and let them flower alongside the autos. i took clones of the AKs before and they were accidentally flipped which i tried to re-veg but ultimately learnt that if i had them continue flower and be fed accordingly, i would have had some really good potential from them.
Trained all the clones, i like doing early training and getting the lower bud sites some light.
Im going to let them veg for another week or two, get some more structure on them and then flip them to flower.
I saw some interesting results from the AKs i cloned and accidentally flowered but tried to re-veg instead. But if i had continued to let them flower and cared for them, i would have seen a much greater yield.
Some of the clones i gave a away to friends but kept enough to fill the space under the light. Its gonna get pretty cramped but ill make them manage lol.
The clones are growing well. Added a planterbox to raise them off the floor.
Planning to let these girls veg out for another few weeks before I flip them. I don't plan to grow large trees. This is more an experiment to see the outcome.
Still feeding a seedling dosage. Will increase maybe this week to a vegging dosage as they are picking up growth.
Last major training before these clones flip to flower.
Defoliated and LST done on them, there is just 1 clone im not doing LST on for learning purposes.
I prefer LST to other methods because for the most part it does well at opening up the girls and promoting growth but they also bounce back from LST training super fast.
Week 6 for these gals vegging in the tent. i think ill give them a full 8 weeks of vegging to stretch their arms and gain some size and then it will be time to flip to flower.
going to be interesting to see what these girls can produce
Almost time that I would want to flip these girls to flower.
I did a little further defoliation just to expose some lower bud sites, these girls fan leaves grow pretty quickly and are soon covering most of the undergrowth.
I dont want to cut them off when they havent developed into anything great so i would rather get light down there and try get some initial growth happening.
If im flipping them week 8 then i will flush them end of the week 7 and allow a week before next feed.
These indoor clones and the outside mother Gelato are going to total a massive yield, but im most interested in the over difference between clones that grew from day 1 in a tent and the mommy that grew from day 1 outside. 100% exact same genetics, only different environments. If sun-grown really is better, I will see it in this experiment for sure.
