Buckle up, its about to be a wild ride! Your Captains for this flight will be Rosa and Gloria (Mexican Airlines Auto). Two lovely ladies ready to take us on an epic growing adventure featuring a fully sativa autoflower from FastBuds. Two seeds were soaked overnight in a glass of water, then transferred to a damp paper towel and placed on a heating mat. The first seed (Rosa) popped within 24hrs. The second seed took a little longer and was ready to plant the next day. Both went into 18oz solo cups of soil and watered with plain water. Both started to sprout around day 4 and had the first set of leaves by the end of the week.

And they are off! I decided to try a little experiment with this grow and run two different nutrient lines, one for each plant. I have been using General Organics GO Box for the last few grows with good results. Recently I received Symbys Renegades line through the Newbie of the Month contest and figured I would try it out. I couldn't find any information or anyone else using Symbys. They aren't even listed as a nutrient line here on Grow Diaries. So I thought why not try a little head to head. Now, I know this wont be the most controlled because two seeds can hold two very different genetics, but its the best we'll get and I'ill do everything to keep the variables the same. So for this experiment Rosa will be fed with General Organics and Gloria will be fed with Symbys. Both will get the recommended dose according to the manufactures feed schedule with maybe the exception of CalMg because I add lime to the soil. From what I know, the GO Box is supposed to be "organic" or even "veganic" except for the BioMarine. And from what I can tell Symbys is some sort of synthetics, but I don't think it's from salts. Seems to be mostly derived from phosphates, chelated acids, and some other natural sources. I will log the GO Box schedule in the nutrients section, but will log the Symbys schedule down here in the comments. Right now each lady is only being fed about 8oz each, but I have been mixing 16oz of solution. Gloria: Symbys Rebel Roots: 30 ml/gl (3.75 ml / 16oz) Symbys Rebel Rise: 10 ml/gl (.625 ml / 16oz) Symbys Silica Strong: 1.25 ml/gl (.15 ml / 16oz) Symbys Rebel Zyme: 10 ml/gl (.625 ml / 16oz)

Gloria: Symbys Rebel Roots: 30 ml/gl Symbys Rebel Rise: 15 ml/gl Symbys Silica Strong: 1.25 ml/gl Symbys Rebel Zyme: 10 ml/gl This week the ladies got upgraded to first class. Both were transplanted into 5 gallon pots of Fox Farm soil with some extra perlite and 1 tblsp of dolomite lime per gallon. They really took off. Stacking nodes. Rosa is a bit taller by about 1/2in with longer spacing, while Gloria has tighter node spacing. Both seem to be growing around the same rate. In the solo cups they looked almost identical. Only after transplant have the small differences started to show.
