I got this cutting really stressed out and appears to have curled in on itself. I cut a fresh cut at a 45 degree angle and dipped in rooting powder. I put it into an already watered pot of soil and tied it to a metal chopstick to try to keep it straight. I had the seed pad on at first but I thought it was getting to hot so I just have it in my germination pod. I have a dimmer for my HGL RSpec100 so I am using that right now with it dimmed just about all the way.
I switched to a HLG 100RSpec while I get the barrel reset for the clone. The leaves have responded to the light and are not drooping anymore. I am getting a new 8 in inline fan as an upgrade to my 6 in inline fan.
I transplanted into 10 gal fabric pot and put into barrel. It took about an hour to balance temps and humidity but plant went in looking really healthy.
It is in the barrel now with the lid lights on only. I have been waiting for it to recover from transplanting before hitting it with the main light. I need to add extension as well so that I can move the main light further away. I watered with 2 gallons of mix on 2/10 but I will give it time to dry out to make sure the stressed roots don't drown.
2/15: I put the extension on the barrel and switched on the main light in addition to the lid lights
I only have two ports to look into the barrel with. She has reached the top of the bottom barrel so I switched the light schedule to 12/12 on 2/27/24. I decided to not take a cutting because I have a trip coming up and remotely managing one plant will be difficult enough. I will probably try to pop a seed when I get back.
I am waiting for her to get a little bit taller before switching on the side lights, but I turned on more white lights at the top of the barrel. Next watering I will hit it with some Big Up and each watering is a little more than 2 gallons each.
She really took off this week! I swear she grew at least a foot this week. I am slowly turning up the ppm on the water I am giving her topping out at around 1800 ppm this week. Next week I will mix a new batch of concentrate and try to get around 2100 ppm. I have learned a lot from my first four plants, this one is doing amazing.
I started seeing signs of flower on 3/6. On 3/8 the top of plant is about 2 inches from the main light. I am unable to move the light further so I hope it stops growing tall soon. This side lights are blasting it to try to get it to get bushy now instead of tall.
She has grown to the top of the barrel and I had to tie down and pull the main branch away from the light. The bud sites are explosion of beautiful white stigmas. I am watering every other day with about 2.5 gal of mix at 2000 ppm then add a tsp of Big Up powder. I can add more nutrient details if people are interested.
I watered with about 2.5 gal 3/18 to 3/19. I set up remote watering system because I left for a trip and watered it twice remotely. Buds are fattening up and so are the trichomes. As always let me know if you have any questions on nute mix
Buds just continue to thicken up. I keep feeding it with 1 tsp of Big Up with every watering. I am glad there is a nice bud growing close to the window for me to picture. Let me know if you are more interested in the feeding mix
