Used a paper towel in a sealable bag method to germinate the seeds. Sprouted after a few days and placed into the soil plugs soaked in Plagron Power roots solution of 1:1000ml. Put under a light at 30% intensity to encourage the seeds to start searching for lighy
Ladies are growing tall quickly - much quicker than the other seedlings in DWC systems at the moment. Rather unexpected actually.
No additional nutrients added, only adding water to wet the surface when it looked really dry. Repotting next week into larger pots.
Ladies are stretching nicely and looking strong. They have really surprised me already with their growth in comparison to their DWC sisters in the same tent.
Girls are in their new homes - both have been potted into 15l pots with a mix of soil, vermiculite and perlite.
Ladies really responded well to the environment this week. Temperatures in the tent are slowly rising as it gets warmer outside at the same time and we really notice the difference with the plants.
Topped the plant between third and fourth node and cleaned away the lower leaves, starting the mainline.
One of the ladies seems to have small pistols already showing which is super strange because these are not autos.
In any case, ladies are topped because they were catching up to the height of the other plants and so it was more a decision for the future use of the scrog net. They look healthy though and are drinking about 1L of water every 5-6 days.
Came back from a one week trip with the intention of switching the ladies over into flowering. Instead, we had a freak power trip and the power was off for 4 days, including water bubblers, fans and of course the lights.
Despite this, ladies seem to be doing well. Some defoliation, a change of lights and more LST and they were good to go
Ladies are starting to smell this week and show the first signs of pistols. Adjusted the height of the lights to be at around 70cm over the canopy and added a scrog net to help spread out the mainlines.
I’ve noticed that whenever I do soil plants, I have some sort of little bug problem, whether it be small spiders/ midges or gnats that find their way into the tent - most likely from when we are switching the water. Not my favourite when I spend so much time on producing an even yield, so I’m considering staying away from soil
Pistols are looking beautiful and the purple in the bud sites and on leaves really make for an exceptional plant to look at. Buds and leaves are sticky to the touch and the smell is fruity and fresh.
Potential to start cutting a few stems off for an early reward
