Hey guys. This is my first growth and I chose this beautiful feminized sativa strain. Week 1 looks good to me. I also would like to hear your opinions, guys. My light is full spectrum 3500k + 660nm red light + 460nm blue light. The actual power is 55W. I think it is enough for the vegetative stage, but I'm not sure about the rest. Since it was budget-friendly, I chose this one. Also, in this growing process, I would like to be an example of budget-friendly growing. Looking forward to seeing your comments, guys. Happy growing, everyone!
I would flip her, otherwise she is going to out grow your tent, always keep in mind that they stretch a lot in flower,a rule of thumb to predict the height is indica can go x2 in height, sativas can go x3 in height when flower starts
But your plant looks healthy and don’t over think it when you made a mistake,it’s weed,it’s one of the most sturdy plants and they can recover from even a very bad state
Happy growing ✌️🌱🎉
@rickytpb, no problem bud,I just took a look at the video you posted ,you have a lot of very small new branches in the lower part of your plant, you could remove those because they don’t get enough light to give great buds,if you remove these your plant will have more energy to grow big buds on top, this is what they call lollipopping
I like where you are going with this on the budget side of things. Your plant looks very even at the top and healthy. Nice work! Something I wonder about though is if the fan leaves on the bottom are helping or hurting flower growth since they do not get very much light(are they consuming more plant energy than they are producing?). I've heard leave them be and get rid of them, not sure what is the correct answer.
@DickJones, first of all, thank you so much for your compliment. I am doing my best, and this is my first cannabis growth.
You are probably right about it. This week, I am planning to do defoliation. Defoliation involves briefly removing the medium-sized fan leaves to help the plant focus on the buds. I have seen some growers who have done defoliation during the mid-flowering period. Since I don't have much experience, I am following their lead to achieve the best results. Next week, those leaves will be gone, and let's see how it goes. :)
