Week 4 | Pre-🌸FLOWERING [D 29-35]
2024-03-07 | D 29 (🔍PH normalizing)
🕒Time: 05:32
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 42 cm
🔆Intensity: 78 %
💬Comment: Moved lights up.
🌍 Substrate:
🔍PH: 5.7
💬Comment: 🔍PH improved, from 5.3-5.4 to 5.7-5.8. With the next feeding, I'll stabilize it.
🌿Plant:
👀Visual:
Slight signs of the light stress and heat stress (Fix: I moved the lights further away).
One side of the plant 🌱Grows faster than the other (from the bottom node).
🕒Time: 13:15
🌍 Substrate:
🔍PH: 5.5
💬Comment: 🔍PH dropped to 5.5. Seems like when substrate dries - 🔍PH goes down. Added some coco on top and watered after that with the solution.
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 32 cm
🔆Intensity: 75 %
💬Comment: Moved the light down after recalculating PPFD for my space (80 x 80 cm). I figured out that this space is too big for this light and at higher 📏Distances PPFD not high enough.

🔍PH: 6.5
2024-03-08 | D 30 (Flushing)
🕒Time: 03:00
🌍 Substrate:
🔍PH: 5.5
💧FLUSH:
📏Volume: 30 L
🔍PH: 7.5
💧CalMag: 1 ml/L
💬Comment: I've realized that 🔍PH of my substrate initially was 🔍PH 4. I overdone the flushing a little bit and 🔍PH went to 6.5-7.
IMPORTANT: In the future SUBSTRATE MUST BE FLUSHED WITH 🔍PH BALANCED WATER (6.0 🔍PH) BEFORE PLANTING A SEED.

📏Volume: 5 L
💧Feeding {🕒Time: 06:00}:
📏Volume: 5 L
🔍PH: 6
💬Comment: Poured solution after the flush.
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 38 cm
🔆Intensity: 100 %
🌿Plant:
🌸FLOWERING IS CLOSE: On one cola I see a white tendril.
👀Visual:
New 🌱Growth is light green.
Leaves are clawing down and have dark tips - NITROGEN TOXICITY. I should use 1 ml/L Micro and 1.5-2 Grow in the future.
🌱LST:
Pulled down all 8 colas with the wire.
🕒Time: 13:00
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 40 cm
🔆Intensity: 50 %
💬Comment: Lowered to let the plant rest.
2024-03-09 | D 31 (Back to Growing)

📏Volume: 2 L
💧Feeding {🕒Time: 00:10}:
📏Volume: 2 L
🔍PH: 6
💬Comment: After the analysis of deficiencies/toxicities charts I've realized that I had sulfur deficiency (and maybe phosphorous). And that's why new growth wasn't green enough. Considering that it's a pre-flowering stage and I had no Bloom in feeding - I fed only Bloom.
Time: 10:42
🌿Plant:
👀Visual:
Has grown since the Bloom feeding.
New leaves color is normalizing - it was indeed Phosphorous/Sulfur Deficiency*.
Branches are very stiff and sometimes crack at the base from LST.
Distance between nodes is very low.
Branches/colas don't stretch.
🌱LST:
Readjusted all the wires to pull down the colas/branches.
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 45 cm
🔆Intensity: 100 %
💬Comment: Increased the distance to help the plant stretch a little bit in order to spread it around and take more space in the box - to maximize light exposure to the leaves.
Time: 21:53
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 33 cm
🔆Intensity: 80 %
2024-03-11 | D 33 (BRANCH DAMAGE)
Time: 03:51
🌿Plant:
📈Size: 25 cm
Width: 46 cm
👃Smell: Mid. Banana, fruits, a little bit of mint.
👀Visual:
Stretching a little bit.
Leaves are erect - good sign.
New leaves color is slightly yellow - Still not enough Phosphorous/Sulfur.
Sings of Nitrogen TOXICITY still present - dark curling tips.
Cracks at the bottoms of branches (from LST) healed.
🌱LST:
Adjusted - moved wires higher on branches and pulled them down.
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 32 cm
🔆Intensity: 100 %
💨Air:
🌡️Temp: 21-23 C.
💧Humidity: 60-70 %
Raining outside.
💨Around the Canopy:
🌡️Temp: 23-25 C.
💧Humidity: 55-70 %
Time: 07:50
🌱LST (DAMAGE):
2 Branches SNAPPED from LST - in the places where the previous LST wires were.
LST wires were too tight and damaged the branches (cut into them). When I readjusted the wires and pulled the branches down it created too much stress on the parts that were damaged. Then the branches snapped.
Removed all LST. Will let the plant heal and rest.
Attached the most damaged branch to the big branch on the opposite side - to connect the damaged area.
Defoliation:
2 bottom leaves.
A few leaves at the center.
🌍 Substrate:
🔍PH: 6.3-6.1; On the other side showed 6.1-5.8.
Damaged some roots during measurement.
Nutrients Prepared (ml/L) :
💧CalMag: 1

📏Volume: 3 L
💧Feeding {🕒Time: 12:00}:
📏Volume: 3 L
🔍PH: 6.2
2024-03-12 | D 34 (Soft Wire LST)
Time: 06:30
🌿Plant:
👀Visual:
Leaves are erect.
New leaves color is slightly yellow at veins - Still not enough Phosphorous/Sulfur(probably).
New leaves Peciolos becomes purple/pink - phosphorus def probably.
Sings of Nitrogen TOXICITY still present - dark curling tips.
2 Snapped branches.
🌱LST (NEW TECHNIQUE):
Used my camping ropes (can handle ~100 kg) for the lower branches. Result is pretty good. Hopefully, no more damage from LST with the wire cutting into the branches.
💡Lights:
📏Distance: 32 cm
🔆Intensity: 75 %
2024-03-13 | D 35 (All Fine)
Time: 13:21
🌿Plant:
👀Visual:
Leaves are erect.
Everything else same as before.
Growing.
🌱LST:
Adjusted LST (before the night time) - pulled down (to spread the plant more).
💨Air:
🌡️Temp: 21-23 C.
💧Humidity: 70-80 %
💬Comment: Very High Humidity.
💨Around the Canopy:
🌡️Temp: 23-25 C.
💧Humidity: 70-80 %
Impressive diary! That is some next level dedication you showed us! Very impressed by the fact that you topped all of your 4 main stems again after the first topping. I am currently at day 17 and like the idea, maybe I will give it a try as well.
Thank you for sharing your journey and best of luck for all your current and future growing projects! 🙏🌱
@NamasteDave, Hehe. In the past I was growing 4 plants in the same space. But they always grew too much and at some point I thought that just one will be enough - with good training. Seems like it is true.
Did you really top both branches from the first node, or does it just look like it? I am currently soaking a blue dream seed as well and your plant looks like it's going to be a huge harvest 👍🏻
@GnomesAndStones, From my notes:
2024-02-24 | D 17 (Main-Lining)
🕒Time: 02:51
🌿Plant (Topping):
🔧Operations:
Topping after the 3 rd node.
1 st node is removed, with the leaves.
2024-02-29 | D 22 (🌱LST & Topping)
🌿Plant (Topping):
🔧Operations:
Topping (Main-Lining):
2 bottom branches (will become 4).
2024-03-02 | D 24 (Top Topping)
🔧Operations:
Topping (Main-Lining):
2 top branches.
So I've removed the first node and everything after the 3rd. Leavin 2 and 3 only.
Following along as I will try this strain in the near future, also growing in coco. Best of luck the rest of the way.
There are plant ties that have a rubber like coating so they are softer and do not cut into the stems as you experienced, something you may want to consider for next time.
@NamasteDave, 👍Thanks
I'm not sure why I haven't used something better for LST than the cheap wires I bought.
After the damage to the branches, I looked at my net made of thick ropes and thought: "This net rope looks exactly like my camping ropes".
Gonna use ropes from now on, it is way easier to set and adjust, and there is no damage.
