My last grows had many issues. I had to take a break and understand what was going on. I bought a simple PH meter and measured my municipality water at around 8. Now I figured that since my only successful grow was in peat moss with the Royal Jack by Royal Queen Seeds, the peat must have equalized the PH in the soil with the PH of the water.
In the meantime I also read many of the old forums and found an interesting thread by 'Old Uncle Ben' (https://www.icmag.com/threads/osmocote-my-favorite-plant-food-easy-peasy-complete.18126434/)
He advised people to try growing with Osmocote. Why not give it a try with my very last DC Cure seed?
And thus I came up with the following mixture:
2.5L Pot
Peat Moss with extra perlite
7G Indoor Outdoor Osmocote (19-10-9 + trace elements and 2% magnesium)
Biochar Bokashi
5-10% worm castings
Dynomyco
I did not expect much from it, but the results gave me a healthy plant until now (germinated 11-02-2024 | time of writing 23-02-2024). And I only have to water it since it is a slow release that will last between 3-6 months.
