going well, growth over last week has been slow but steady. also looks a little hungry compared to the other seedling I've got going, will adjust with next water/feed.
this week she got transplanted from solo cup into her final pot. two days later I topped her at the 4th node. this CBD Blue Shark is growing quite well, I'm excited to see how she progresses in the last few weeks of veg.
still healthy and she's really starting to flourish and fill out which is great. she has responded well to the lst and topping. I'll be taking a couple of clones from her and then flip to 12/12 within the next week or two. would ideally like to veg them for another few weeks but my small grow space doesn't allow.
She is still doing nicely, especially for my first time growing photoperiods. things seem to be going very smoothly and I couldn't be happier.
every few days I've been watering with nutrient solution at pH 6.3
I've been continuing lst to keep the canopy of the plant as even as possible and did some defoliation of fun leaves to open up the center of the plant.
This week I took a clone. first time attempting cloning and the clone seems to be doing ok. I have the clone in the tent with it's mother so I've had the leds on without the bloom switch (to reduce light intensity) so haven't been getting the full 200w draw. I plan on keeping the lights on 18/6 for another week until the clone is rooted and can be put outside.
she's doing well and this was the final week of lights on 18/6. week 9 will be first week of 12/12. a little bit more defoliation done earlier in the week. found a bug (whitefly?) and sprayed the plant with and organic insecticide. excited for flowering to begin soon.
Apologies for missing week 9 from the diary. week 9 was the first week with lights flipped to 12/12. week 10 (on day 67) she started showing pistils. she had signs of nitrogen toxicity in week 9, I cut out the veg feed and gave her a light flush and it has settled down. space in my small tent is limited but I think I flipped them to flower in just enough time so they hopefully shouldn't outgrow it.
she's doing alright, shooting out lots of pistils. she seems pretty healthy but continuing to have lower leaves shrivel and drop off. I've noticed she drinks quite a lot and her coco perlite medium gets dry more quickly than the other plant in the tent. she stretched a little this week, height growth should slow down next week.
she's continued to push out pistils and started producing some trichomes around the bud sites and on sugar leaves this week. overall seems happy but lower leaves displaying signs of what I think is a lack of nitrogen? she's started producing a nice scent but I'm expecting the smell to increase next week and I'm super excited to see how she goes. I have a goal of getting a least 2.5 ounces of dry flower from her as long as I can keep everything in check for the remaining weeks.
despite her relatively short height, this blue shark is a bit of a monster. week 5 of flower and her buds are developing pretty nicely and getting frosty, especially the tops. the lower buds are still fairly underdeveloped. I'm hoping that my light has enough penetration to reach the lower bud sights otherwise I may have to defoliate a few fan leaves.
this week she had significant yellowing of some lower fan leaves. I'm not wanting to give her much more nitrogen but I know it is also pretty early to have 'fade' which you expect toward the end of flower. she is smelling better every week but the scent isn't super strong just yet. really excited to see how the last few weeks go.
This lovely lady is doing pretty well. Week 6 of flower and her buds have been continuing to develop and she's smelling nice, a slight citrus aroma, but not super strong. By breeders info, got just under 3 more weeks until chop (after 9 weeks of flower) but I'll be keeping my eyes on the trichomes. Only thing to note is that the lower fan leaves have been continuing to yellow and drop off. I know she's had enough N and cal mag so I'm writing it off as natural occurrences - just started sooner than I expected.
week 7 of flowering. leaves started to look a bit sad this week. I don't know exactly why, could be a combination of things but she's a fighter. buds are continuing to grow. the tops/flowers near canopy of plant are looking excellent. lower bud sites are not really developing.
She's a lovely one and she's not far off now, her buds are starting to swell and trichomes are looking mostly cloudy with a couple of amber appearing. I'll start flushing her in a few days with plain pH'd water, doing a 7 day flush and then time to harvest! I was considering harvesting in stages to let the lower buds develop but I'm not sure now if I'll go down that path. Either way I'm really looking forward to trying some of this medicine soon ✌️
