JOURNAL STILL UNDER CONTRUCTION Alright guys I appologize in advance this journal is not 100% complete. I have recorder the whole grow, which is 3 plants, and so some of the picture will contain other plants in it, at least up to week 16-17. I was also away for the first 13-14 weeks and so the grow and training applied is a little freestyle. I will try to reconstruct as best as I can the Veg and beginning of flower but starting from week 4 of flower I will be uploading individual picture of better quality and better angles. You will notice I sometime refer to the plant as "they", just a bad habit sorry. If you can't wait for the real deal to start go to week 18 this is where the info and picture becomes a lot more detailed. But nevertheless, the grow is happening in a 1.8x1.3x2m room. It has an active intake and outake of air with an aircon/dehumidifier regulating the environment. The plant would normally be under a 600W HPS but for this particular grow I have added a 400W MH for fun. All plants are in fully organic living soil. But not my personal supersoil though, a commercially bought general soil which was slightly amended as well as layered and spiked once in the pot. The plant will be given strictly RO water as well as various teas and foliar feed. All recipe will be added down at the bottom. The idea with this type of growing is to give the power back to the plant. All I do is feed the soil and she will decide what she wants to take. The soil self regulates itself, mother nature does her thing I do not measure my pH nor my ppm/EC, as for the soils I did check it once or twice it is always at a steady 6.9. The soil is full of life, just a little digging and you can start seeing movement, tiny bugs, worms, a whole world. Its simple efficient and dirt cheap. If anyone want to know more don't hesitate to ask. The grow will be made up of 1 Chocolate Haze grown from seed and one from clone as well as a Dance World from seed, all from Royal Queen seeds. But this journal will focus on the Chocolate Haze grown from seed. She was normally supposed to be manifolded but thats obviously not what she had in mind as you will see further during the grow. Alright so Seed opened within 24hours and broke surface by 48h. Good sign. Thanks RQS. They were put in small 0.2L pot with a mix of equal parts coco, perlite, vermicast and organic soil mix. During the first week she was on a strictly water diet. She will be given ONLY RO water throughout the grow. Recipes: High N layer blend : 2 parts blood meal 1-2 parts feather meal 2 parts high nitrogen bird/bat guano 1 part ground oyster shells Spike Veg 3 parts blood meal 1 part steamed bone meal 1 part high N bat/bird guano 1 part feather meal 1 part kelp meal 15ml ground oyster shell Spike Flower 4 parts feather meal 1 High PK fert (approx. 4-9-9) 1 part soft rock phosphate 2 parts steamed bone meal 2 parts high N bat/bird guano 4 parts kelp meal 1 tbsp ground oyster shell 1 tbsp Azomite powder As for the other soil it already contains : Coco Coir, Compost, Perlite Worm Castings, Vermiculite, Rock Dust, Bone Meal, Gypsum, Kelp Meal, Dolomite Lime and some other Organic Nutrients Although in very little amount. As mentioned earlier it also has been layered and spiked with the above recipe.

They were transplanted at the middle of week 4 into larger pots, 2L. The pots were layered and spiked as previously mentionned. She is doing very well, and enjoying her new home. The plant was kind of topped on this day Day 31. I will explain on week 6. Its crazy to think they took so long to reach this size. But obviously it was my fault , they should have never gone into that first small tiny pot. And I still need to get the hang of my new environment ( yes working in a brand new location with everything different.) Once again I am missing a few shots as I was away for a month and not the one taking care of them. Very sorry...

The Idea is to train this lady to achieve a 8x manifold. And this is where it gets interesting. The plant has kind of topped herself but not completely, she kept her apex dominance in the on branch but threw another 2 branches out of her sides, those two branches were very interesting as it was mutation I have witnessed in nature where 2 branches fuse together giving one massive fat branches with 2-3 times the ammount of nodding.. Looks like a located whorled phyllotaxy, 2 sudden trifoliate branches popping up. Its great! It is hard to see on the pictures but you can get an idea. The other branch with normal nodding was treated as a manifold, topping at 3rd keeping node 1 and 3. They could have been given some tea but I am not sure, if it was the case it would have been the recipe below. Veg tea. 1L Tea 3.75ml natural molasses 3.75ml kelp meal 3.75ml alfalfa meal 3.75ml General fert (5-5-5)) 2.5ml liquid fish fertilizer 2.5ml dry high-nitrogen bird or bat guano 1.25ml liquid seaweed BUBBLE FOR 24 HOURS THEN ADD 60ml of fresh earthworm castings (24ml) (15ml composted steer manure) BUBBLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 24 HOURS (0.25g Trichoderma) (1.25ml Mycoroot) (BUBBLE FOR ADDITIONAL 10 MIN)

Unfortunately as I am not present to take care of them and communication is difficult, the person in charge has topped the two fused branches which I wasn't intending to do... But the result will be at least 3-4 colas comming out of the cut. Which is not necessarily a bed things. More colas, bigger plant.

She grows slowly, lacking some food... She has finally been transplanted and hopefully she will start booming again as this veg is now starting to take forever. The person in charge of them at the moment simply doesn't have enough time on hand to properly attend to them, a little love and attention and everything will be alright. The new pots they are in are made out of fabric and once again they were layered and spiked.

After the tea and a lot of love they starting growing wild again, they were growing too fast and I decided to switch them, as you can see they are in the flowering room with some other plants which were a little bit of a mess up haha, not enough attention again. I am now just waiting for those plant to finish so they can get out and make space for the new ones. As soon as it is done I will spread them out even more. In the mean time there has been a thrips problem going in the flowering room which I am only discovering now... They are not overwhelming the plants but I can definitly see signs of their presence. This will obviously jump to the new plants but its alright I will take care of them later. I do not want to spray almost done buds with garlic and canola oil... Anyway let's see how that stretch will develop.

On day 113 She had a little LST session. On day 114 She was given a tea,2L. Recipe below. On day 118 she was given 2.8L of water and treated with aloe canola and garlic as foliar after lights out. On day 119 she was transplanted into a hempy bucket, I know strange timing and even stranger pot, but seeing her neighbour who has been in one the whole time I thought i couldn't hurt, and well let me tell you it really did not hurt her even in the slightest. She LOVED it. I basically cut off the bottom of the fabric pot and put the pot down in a bucket with perlite, and filled around the edges with coco. Also I broke a branch later that day while rearranging all the ties around the rim of the bucket instead of the pot, applied a band aid and will let it heal. Tea : 1L 3.75ml BS molasse 3.75ml 2-3-2 fert in pellets 3.75ml kelp meal 5ml seabird guano 2ml Biobizz Bloom 2ml 2.5ml EM-1 5ml Liquid seaweed 5ml Humic acid granular 2ml Oyster shell powder 24h bubble 60ml vermicast. 24h Bubble Diluted with 1L

BioBloom - Green House Feeding
BioBloom 1.5 mll
Alright from now on there will be individual picture of good resolution. Sorry for the dodgy start I wasn't expecting to do a journal for that specific one plant instead of all together. So, the budding is quite good at that advanced stage of flowering, I am very happy about it, as well as the trichome production. On the day 126 they were top dressed with 15g of Bio Bloom from GreenHouseFeed. Never used the product and I wanted to experiment as I saw some astonishing result from a grow report on internet. In addition she was given 5.5L of water with approx 150ml run off from the hempy. On day 130 the were given a foliar spray boost early in the morning before light turned on. Recipe for the tea at the bottom. Also late afternoon she was given another 3L and had about 250ml runoff. On day 132 she was given a bit of a trim removing all the smaller buds that wouldn't get any light. The grow is steady and strong! She reacted well to the foliar feed and seems to be doing well, although I can see that she is slowly eating up all the potassium available it might become an issue. Foliar feed : 1L 5ml BS molasse 4ml Kelp meal 1ml Humic acid granular 0.1ml fulvic acid 0.65ml Soft Rock Phosphate 1cube Alfalfa SST* 1cube Aloe* 5ml EM-1 3ml liquid seaweed 40ml vermicast bubble for 12H diluted with 1L *The cube is an ice cube from a sprouted seed tea, I make them in advance, puree them and freeze them so I can just throw them in my tea whenever. Same for the Aloe but aloe is the juice ( aloe juice is great to add to foliar spray as it is a wetting agent and sounds way better than adding dish soap even if perfectly fine.)

Those colas keep filling up with buds, and they are getting fatter and fatter, the smell is starting to spread, a slight sweet smell. On day 134 she was given a ACT+SST, 3.5L and an extra 500ml of water. The tea was given early in the morning. On day 138 she was given another 4.9L of water with 500ml run off., the watering was done before light out. She is starting to show some K deficiency, nothing too alarming but she is definitely telling me she needs some more. I will have to make a plan as I can see the bud growth as slightly slowed down. On day 140 The plant was top dressed and given 200ml of water, the top dress recipe is down below. In additions to the top dress they were treated with canola oil, garlic and aloe juice as a foliar spray against parasites but specificaly to get rid of those thrips that are still present. I am not going to get rid of them completely especially late in flowering I hate spraying that on the buds, but hopefully it will kill enough of them so they don't bother me until the end of the grow. Over all she is doing fantastic except for the slight K issue, but the way she grows is beautiful, she makes an amazing crown of buds, the colas are long and filled, I am really enjoying growing this strain. Recipe : Flowering SS Tea : 5L 15ml kelp meal 6ml seabird guano 7.5ml humic acid 7.5ml general fert 25ml BS molasse 15ml Bio bloom by biobizz 10ml liquid seaweed 15ml EM-1 2.5ml SRP Bubble 24H 30ml castings Bubble 24H 1cube each Alfalfa,Barley,Corn,Cannabis SST 1 cube aloe juice Top dress : 15ml kelpmeal 10ml alfalfa meal 5ml Greenhousefeed Bloom 750ml Vermicast (that topdressed 3 of my plants in a 10Lbucket)

24-31 Alright time to tackle this potassium deficiency. On day 142 They were given a foliar feed after lights out, the idea is to try and supplement quick K and other nutrients until the top dress can take effect , also a tea is coming their way soon. On day 144 She was given 5.4L of water and had 350ml run off. I can see the bud production has come back stronger after the foliar feed, hopefully that will last long enough. On Day 148 - 31/11 : She has been given another tea. The idea behind it was to try and fix what I thought could be a potassium deficiency. I added bananas to the tea... Not sure what the result was going to be. But I was convinced the plant were not 100% happy. But I was not completely sure of the cause. ---------- Recipe: Foliar: 1L 5ml BS molasse 3.75 Kelp meal 0.1ml Fulvic acid 0.65ml SRP 5ml EM-1 5ml Biobloom by biobizz 15ml worm cast 24h Bubble 1cube each Alfalfa,Barley,Corn,Cannabis SST 1cube aloe juice 1g Trichoderma Diluted with 1L

Week 7 let's go ! Day 152 - 04/11 : The plant symptoms have seemed to slow down. The soil is also starting to dry out a bit more which might have been a problem. Day 155 - 07/11 : She was flushed in the morning with about 4L of water and 2L of a 30% strength microbial+trichoderma tea to innocculate the soil in case the microlife took a hit. The run off was 1L. I also switched the 400W MH for a 400W HPS to finish off with a little extra boost of light + different spectrum and see if it makes any differences. The light were moved up by approximately 20-30cm. They are now at about 70cm from the plant. I wondered if the light were maybe too close and caused all those strange symptoms. Let's see if there is any change in their behaviour. Day 156 - 08/11 : It seems the plant is a lot happier. It has only been a day but I feel like she is fattening up faster suddenly. Or it could be that she has recovered from the slight chock from a few days ago. Day 158 - 10/11 : Yep she is definitely happy again. I am convinced it was the light or at least it was part of the problem, I am seeing a lot of growth all of a sudden, on all plants and not just this one. Trichome are up, pistilles are up, calyxes swelling, everything is running smooth again. She is looking ready already, from a bud general appearance I could almost harvest now, but the trichomes are still mostly clear and I have a feeling she has a little more in her. I suspect the reason for such large amount of already brown trichomes might have been the light excess they went through.

Hey guys I need your help, I have a problem but I cannot seem to be able to put my finger on the cause. I added a few picture of the affected leaves, and what i think could be termites, let me know what you think Light burn ? Insects ? Deficiency ? Nute burn ? Over watering ?

Hello @GreenMunchkin ! Some slight deficiencies and maybe a little light burn at 1-2 leaves. Nothing to worry about at this stage of your grow. I don't know what is that bug ( it could be a termite ) but i can assure you that this guy didn't harm your plant and if you had an infestation you wouldn't have found only one. Happy growing ! 👊

Day 159 - 11/11 : The calyxes are starting to swell, I can see the bud is looking more and more rounded Day 160 - 12/11 : She was given 6L of water with some trichoderma and a little molasses, there was 1.5L run off. Trichoderma will help keep the root healthy in case the issue is in fact soil related and a little molasses to keep all the microlife happy and add a little sugars for the plant. Day 164 - 16/11 : She is yellowing rapidly, drawing anything left in those big fan leaves. The buds are going through some pretty good swelling though. The trichomes still look mostly quite clear, but the buds look almost ready from the outside. It shouldn't be long until harvest. It seems as is she might finish a little earlier than the 9-10 weeks she normally goes through. Let's see. Day 165 - 17/11 : She was given 6L of water, there was around 2.5L run off and the run off measured 4.8 EC.

I think she will be ready within the next 5-7 days. Day 170 - 22/11 : Looking good ! She is fading nicely and buds are maturing, Harvest is so close I can taste it !

Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.
