Schroedingers Plants

In the fifth week of our grow diary "Schroedinger's Plants," we continued to focus on maintaining optimal conditions for Tropicana Cookies, Gorilla Zkittlez, and Apple Strudel. Also, we have a new arrival in the Growtent, since my wife wanted to grow her own Northern Lights Auto. This week involved careful monitoring of environmental parameters, and light defoliation to support healthy growth. Week 5 also marks the beginning of flower, which I am really excited about. Additionally, a trellis net was installed (slightly later than planned) to support the plants structure and manage their growth. Since all plants show different phenos and height I'll probably end up removing the net along the way. Plant Progress: 1. Tropicana Cookies: Growth: The plant height was recorded at 67 cm on June 1st, showcasing robust vertical growth. Because of her stretch and node spacing LST is practically impossible, so we'll just let her do her thing. Health: The plants remained healthy throughout the week, with no significant issues observed. Interventions: Regular watering with 2-3 liters on alternating days and nutrient feeding with Alfa Boost at 1.5 ml/L. Light defoliation was performed on June 1st to improve light penetration and airflow. Environmental Conditions: Maintained stable temperatures at 25°C during the day and 20°C at night. Relative humidity was controlled between 63-75%. PPFD: Consistently kept at around 500 throughout the week. 2. Gorilla Zkittlez: Growth: The plant height reached 38 cm by June 1st. Health: Overall health was good, with no signs of nutrient burn or deficiencies. Interventions: Similar watering and feeding schedule as Tropicana Cookies. Light defoliation was conducted on June 1st. Environmental Conditions: Temperatures were maintained at 25°C during the day and 20°C at night, with relative humidity between 63-75%. PPFD: Kept steady at around 500 throughout the week. 3. Apple Strudel: Growth: The plant reached a height of 40 cm by June 1st. Health: Continued to exhibit good health throughout the week. Interventions: Followed the same watering and nutrient regimen as the other strains. Light defoliation was performed on June 1st. Environmental Conditions: Similar stable conditions as the other strains, maintaining 25°C during the day and 20°C at night, with relative humidity between 63-75%. PPFD: Consistently maintained around 500. General Observations and Actions: Lighting and CO2: Continued to monitor and maintain the PPFD levels at 500 to ensure adequate light exposure for all plants. CO2 levels were kept stable to support healthy growth. Nutrient Management: Regular applications of Alfa Boost and monitoring of water pH ensured the plants received the necessary nutrients without signs of overfeeding or deficiencies. Defoliation and Training: Light defoliation was performed to improve light penetration and airflow, reducing the risk of mold and pests. The plants responded well to these interventions, showing no signs of stress. Week 5 has been marked by consistent and healthy growth across all three strains. The environmental conditions, nutrient management, and light defoliation have all contributed to the ongoing success of this grow. Moving into the next week, we will continue to monitor growth closely, maintain stable conditions, and adjust as necessary to support the ongoing health and vigor of the plants. Have a nice weekend!
