Hi ho! Beginning the newest grow, this one will be growing White Widow in the same tent as Green Gelato, but this diary will be only for the White Widow. A couple of additional details beyond what's above: - Two seeds are germinated, but only one will go through the full grow so I can choose the best looking one to take all the way - Plants will be started in Solo cups and transplanted into 5 gal. fabric pots when ready - Plants will be mainlined - Nutrients are General Hydroponic Flora Series and CalMag - Grow tent also contains a humidifier and a couple of oscillating fans This should be a fun one!

Woo hoo- seed #3 seems to be happy and emerged. Seed #2 seems to be another bust like Seed #1, so this is a 1/3 success rate for this strain, not terribly great. But I'm optimistic :) Sharing the same tent and conditions as two Green Gelato plants, but now one week behind in veg. Going to do what I can to flip everybody to flower at the same time. - Tent temps and RH staying stable (67-75 degrees F, 72% RH) - Watering each day with light nutrient solution, keeping soil moist - Will mix in regular water every third day and keep checking runoff PPM and pH 5/11/24 - Tent conditions stable - Second set of leaves coming in - Runoff measured at 5.9 pH and 1020 PPM - Lights at 350 PPFD at leaves 5/16/24 - After some initially slow growth, the plant is picking up a bit now - Third and fourth set of leaves coming in, nodes starting to develop - Roots visible in drain holes in bottom of cup, will repot in a couple of days after the new leaves can develop a bit more - Runoff pH holding stable around 5.8 and PPM around 990 - Alternating 3 days of very light feed with 1 day of plain pH water with CalMag - Leaves look healthy and green, no signs of burn or deficiencies, but some minor curling on first set of leaves - Plant is much smaller than the Green Gelato plant in the same tent due to it starting a week later after the first pair of seeds failed to launch, but hopefully, it will be able to eb topped and trained on a similar schedule so they will both be able to get to the same height when flipping to 12/12

5/17/24 Starting week 2 of veg. Third seed seems to be the charm and is growing fairly well after the first 2 that failed to emerge after germination. - Plant still in Solo cup, roots visible at bottom and good development of root ball. - Will transplant into final 5 gal. fabric pot in a couple of days - Slight increase in PPM for feeding - 3rd set of true leaves coming in - Plant looking healthy, green leaves, reasonable amount of stretch but not a runt. Stem seems a little thin so far, but nothing alarming- could be a genetics characteristic. - Runoff pH at 6.0 and PPM at 1015, a bit high, but plant not showing any burns or deficiencies - Light at 450 PPFD, 18" away from top of plant - Temps and humidity steady, with about a 7 degree F swing between night and day 5/19/24 - Repotted into final 5 gal pot - Heavy watering with light feed to saturate the new coco and get runoff- pH for runoff at 5.8 and PPM very high since it's buffered coco - Roots looked very healthy and white, not root bound at all but ready to move to a bigger pot - 4th set of leaves coming in 5/22/24 - Plant settling into new pot nicely, no sign of repotting stress - Watering every day, alternating one day of water and one day of feeding with light nutrients - pH of feed water varying between 6.0-6.3 - Runoff pH around 5.7, PPM, still very high due to fresh coco, but coming down steadily - Leaves nice and green, 4th node coming in - Noticing an odd mutation on one of the newest set of leaves, where the center finger is much smaller than the others on the fan leaf. It looks like 3 sets of leaves are coming in on this node, but it's only two- one just looks odd. Could be due to the genetics, not terribly impressed with the curveballs from this set of seeds, but this plant seems fairly stable and is at least growing. - Going to wait for another few days to top, want to make sure it's well established in the pot and see what's going on with this newest node.

5/24/24 Welcome to week 3! Still not sure about how well this one is going to do based on the sprouting rate of the seeds (1 of 3), the weird mutation on the recent growth (see last week), and the plant in general seems to be a little slow and on the small side, but at least it doesn't seem to be a runt. Topping most likely next week. - Plant generally looks green and healthy, stem bulking up well, no signs of burns or deficiencies - Runoff pH stable around 5.8 PPM steadily coming down every day from the fresh coco and is now around 1360 (fed with 982 PPM water) - Watering every day, alternating one day with feed, one day without - Light at 350 PPFD 5/26/24 Seeing nice growth and development, she's starting to fill in and stretch a bit. Feeling better in general about this one! - Everything nice, green, and healthy, no signs of burning or deficiencies - Continuing with same watering and feeding schedule, alternating days of water and feed - Light and tent conditions staying steady and stable - 3rd set of nodes look big enough to start training, so I will top her and start the mainlining in the next day or two - Runoff pH stable at 5.8 and PPM finally down to around 1130 5/27/24 First topping! She was growing vigorously enough and was up to the 6th node coming in, so I decided to top her and start the mainline now that the third nodes were developed enough to actually train. Topped down to the third node and removed all nodes and fan leaves above and below the third node. Light feeding afterwards, now to wait to see how she recovers. 5/28/24 Recovering really well from topping and developing a nice wingspan. Not a ton of updates, but she looks happy and healthy. - No changes to tent conditions or watering/feeding schedules - Plant taking about .5 gal of water each day and producing a fair amount of runoff (which I'm saving and giving to my outdoor garden) 5/30/24 Things continue to look great, plant catching up to the Green Gelato in the same tent despite sprouting a week later. Still smaller, but doing really well! - Daily adjustments of LST ties to keep plant flat - No changes to tent conditions, feeding, or watering schedule - Light up to 400 PPFD, plant seems happy - Still a few days away from second topping as third nodes are just starting to come it - Runoff pH around 5.8 and PPM down to under 1000, so coco seems to be stabilizing -

5/31/24 Going into Week 4, this is probably my favorite part of the grow because it's so hands-on with the plants with the training and topping. Never a dull moment! - Growth going nicely, should be able to do the second topping this week. - Touching up LST each day to keep plant flat and low while getting it to spread out. This plant seems to be taking it pretty well and the final base of the canopy should wind up being just about as wide as the pot, so lots of room to spread out - Turned off the humidifier in the tent as the transpiration from the plants plus the runoff in the basins is keeping things in a good range for now. - Sticking with the same feed/water routine and amounts as last week and will keep it going like that through the rest of veg. - Runoff pH around 5.8 and PPM consistently around 800 - Seeing some lime green coloration in the new growth, could be a zinc deficiency or pH issue, but pH seems fairly stable. Nothing alarming yet, but it's widespread enough that I'll be watching it pretty closely. 6/2/24 - The chlorosis in the new growth seems stable, but still watching it closely. Seeing a little curling on one fan leaf. - Should be ready for second topping in the next couple of days, ant to top it at the same time as the Green Gelato in the same tent so they can go to 12/12 at the same time - Runoff pH and PPM holding fairly steady at 5.8 and 700 PPM - Plant starting to take up a bit more water now - Saw some condensation on touching leaves, so turned up the vent fan a bit to pull in more air and bring down RH - Raised LEDs to keep space, PPFD still measuring around 400 at leaf tops - Plant staying nicely flat, touching up LST ties each day to keep it that way 6/4/24 Going OK, not quite as well as the other plant in the tent that's getting the same feed, water, and conditions. Continuing to watch the minor chlorosis in the new growth- it's not out of hand, but concerning and I'm keeping close watch on it. You can see in the photos what's going on. Growth seems to have slowed slightly, so that could be related. - Continuing with same water and feed schedule - Runoff pH and PPM holding around 5.7 and 672. I suspect there is still a bit of a pH issue here- signs suggest the pH is a bit high, but runoff tests suggest it's a bit low. Going to keep trying to dial it in. - Not ready for second topping yet, probably still 2-3 days away. Want to let the next couple of sets of nodes develop a bit more. - Touching up the LST each day to keep plant flat. There is a little bit of a twist to it, so trying to correct that. - Turned up vent fan a bit more to try to push humidity down below 70% (currently at 74%) 6/5/24 - Chlorosis unfortunately not getting better - Fed with 1 gal 6.7 pH and 960 PPM water to bring medium pH up and a minor flush - Runoff was 5.7 pH and 591 PPM, so pH was definitely way too low - Recalibrated pH meter and it seemed to be about .3 off (too high), so I suspect my readings were off just a touch. Hopefully the recalibration and higher pH water will help level things out. - growth seems slower since the chlorosis started, so going to hold off on second topping for at least a couple more days.

6/7/24 Hello, Week 5 of veg! Beginning the week with her second topping. For those interested, the mainlining technique is from Nebula Haze at https://www.growweedeasy.com/manifold - this has given me great results in the past and varies just slightly from the OG mainlining technique. - Continuing with same water and feed schedule- watering every day, feeding every other day - Fed higher pH water today and yesterday to bring the medium pH up a bit - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 543 respectively - Plant took up a lot of nutes last night (big PPM runoff drop), so raising the medium pH is definitely helping -Plant taking up more water now as well - Light still at 400 PPFD, lights about 24" from top of canopy - Daily minor adjustments of LST to plant ring and grid to keep things flat - Will probably go for one more week of veg, then flip to 12/12, but we'll see how both plants in the tent are doing and the toping recovery is coming along - Chlorosis in the new growth seems to be easing as the pH is coming up in the medium- will keep watching this closely 6/10/24 Not a ton of updates as things are just steady on and no real issues. Plant continues to fill out nicely and is ready for a good defoliation when the 12/12 flip happens at the end of this week. - Recovery from second topping is going great and plant has really filled in nicely - Chlorosis seems to have been resolved now that the pH has been brought back up and stabilized - Regular touch-ups of LST ties, but now starting to let the main colas turn up to get ready for the flowering stretch - Footprint and canopy shape and height are good- nice and flat with decent horizontal space for how it will fill up the tent - No change to water or feed schedule - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.8 and 580 respectively, PPM trend suggests a heavier feeding won't be a problem, so might start to double up feeding days - Taking up more water and neuts now 6/12/24 Steady as she goes, getting close to flipping at the end of the week. Starting to let the colas and tips start to extend upwards now that the mainline is established. - LST is in place and should be good to go for flower now. - Plant is starting to get thirstier - Plant is really ready for a good defoliation before the flip to flower, as the canopy is getting really dense and think. - Leaves are very healthy and green, looks good. Stalk is thickening well and branches look robust and solid. - Starting to make a change to the water/feed schedule with 2 days of feed then 1 day of plain pH water - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.8 and 681 respectively, so feeding a bit more going into flower should be fine

6/14/24- Tent has been flipped to 12/12 and a major defoliation. Plant is 9" high, but lots of horizontal spread, so the flowering stretch will dramatically increase the hight from where it is now, but should leave lots of vertical space in the tent between the canopy and the lights. - Major defoliation, removed the large old fan leaves and most of the leaves inside the plant or that were touching. Left a "skirt" of leaves around the outside both to keep the plant healthy and so it has some additional leaves left, but also as a bit of an "early warning system" in case there are any nutrient or stress issues. - After the defoliation, you can see the plant structure with the mainline much more clearly (see before and after pics) - Slight modification to feed, but going to keep with a feed schedule of 2 days of feed then 1 day of water. Will adjust based on runoff values. - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.8 and 581 respectively - Other tent conditions stable 6/16/24 Smooth sailing into flower, plant is starting to stretch, picking up about 1" per day. Filling back in after defoliation, but still plenty of light and air penetration. - Water feed schedule is now 2 days of feed then 1 day of plain water - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 593 respectively - Tent conditions stable, though humidity is slightly ticking up as the leaves come back in - Plant continues to take about .75 gal of water per watering with around 10% runoff 6/18/24 The stretch keeps rolling and the plant has confirmed that it's female. Four days after the defoliation for the flip, and it's almost completely filled back in, so doing well and rolling on! Plant is smaller than the Green Gelato in the same tent, but I'm keeping them within 1" of each other in hight and distance from the lights. - Slightly bending some of the stems to keep everything as flat and even as possible - Continuing with same feed and water schedule, plant is taking up more nutes and water now - Seeing some more minor chlorosis coming in, this plant seems extremely fussy with a very narrow pH window where it's happy - Runoff pH and PPM at 6.0 and 548 respectively - Humidity in tent creeping up as the plant fills back in - Turned on second fan to keep air moving

6/21/24 Going into Week 2 of flower, things are moving right along. Plant looks healthy and is very lush, the stretch continues with about 1" of growth per day. Canopy staying nice and flat and the mainlining has done very well. Next week will be another big defoliation and lolipopping as needed. Plant seems stable with no chlorosis at the moment, hopefully it's in a happy and sustainable zone now. - Feeding two days, then 1 day of plain pH water - light PPFD at 700 and most intense spot - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 674 respectively - Tent environment in upper 70s during day, upper 60s at night, humidity in mid to upper 60s - 2 oscillating fans going in tent 6/23/24 The first pistils are appearing! Everything looking solid, no issues at the moment. - Plant is taking up more water and nutrients, added a third day of feeding since the runoff PPM is showing more uptake - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 634 respectively - Using 6.2 pH water is geeking the runoff pH consistently around 5.9 at the moment, so things are in a stable zone and pattern for now 6/25/24 Stretch continues, plant up to about 17" now. No issues, everything green and healthy, pistils developing, will get a big defoliation at the end of this week. - Runoff pH and PPM at 6.0 and 588 respectively - Lights at 700 PPFD at canopy 6/27/24 - Runoff pH yesterday dropped to 5.8, so today gave 6.4 pH water with no nutrients - Runoff pH and PPM today measuring 6.0 and 643 respectively - Plant looking green and healthy, bud sites starting to develop more substantially - Will do a major defoliation in the next day or two to help them get more light and air further down on the plant

6/29/24 Week 3 of flower, time to dial back the hands-on part a bit. - Major defoliation. More aggressive this time than last grows, I'll be more aggressive in making sure all bud sites stay in the light this time to try to reduce larf. - Removed plant ring and all LST ties as they have done their bit - Screwed up the LST a bit, one side of the plant is slightly higher than the other. Will deal with this by bending and possibly adding a net to pull that side down a bit more - Keeping with watering every day, 3 days with feed, one day without - Adjusted light to keep at 700 PPFD at top of canopy and 24" of distance - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 726 respectively - Moved a fan lower in the tent to try to blow up through the plants to keep air moving. A second fan is blowing over the canopy 7/1/24 - Added scrog net. The mainline has created a great shape, but the net helps keep things supported and spread out at the canopy. - Plucking a few leaves as the plant fills back in from the big defoliation. Going to be fairly aggressive here to make sure all of the bud sites stay in the light. - Budlets developing well - Accidentally made a minor break on one of the branches, but taped it up and hopefully it will be ok. - Stretch seems to be slightly slowing - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 853 - PPFD at 700 at canopy 7/3/24 - Continuing to pluck leaves as they fill in and block light and air from bud sites, may need to do a little more clean up on the very bottom of the plant. - Vertical stretch definitely starting to slow down - Budlets continuing to develop nicely, but smaller than the Green Gelato- lots of sites though - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 783 - PPFD at 700 at canopy

7/5/24 Week 4 of flower, honestly, things start to get a little dull now- the intense hands on part is basically over as the flowering stretch ends, so now it's just about maintaining and coasting. But things are looking good, so no complaints! - Continuing to pluck leaves as they fill in and block light and air from bud sites, but only a few now as the stretch is pretty much done - No stickiness yet and only a minor smell - Budlets continuing to develop nicely, good light and breeze penetration into the plant - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 840 - PPFD at 700 at canopy 7/7/24 - More light leaf plucking as they grow in a shade out bud sites - Vertical stretch is done but leaf growth is still ongoing - Things are just starting to get a bit sticky - Bud sites all looking good and seeing signs of fattening, lots of good light and air exposure - Minor frost development ongoing - Runoff pH and PPM at 6.0 and 687 respectively 7/9/24 No real news is good news, everything moving along well. - Leaves look healthy, minimal leaf plucking to keep all bud sites exposed to light and air - Resin production picking up, and smell building slightly - Some minor darkening of some pistils - Medium pH is shifting slightly upwards as plant changes gears, so shifting water pH down slightly to accommodate - Gave plant 6.0 pH water with no feed, sticking to 3 days of feed, 1 day of plain pH water - Runoff pH and PPM at 6.1 and 754

7/12/24 Week 5, everything moving along well, no issues- just coasting toward the finish at this point. - Plant looking healthy and green - Vertical stretch has stopped and no more defoliation needed, just tucking and moving things out of the way at this point. - Good air and light exposure to bud sites, some minor pistil darkening, buds starting to bulk up a bit more - Resin production picking up, plant getting stickier - Smell still pretty subdued, but present - Runoff pH and PPM at 6.0 and 726 - Plant is a bit thirstier and is wanting a slightly lower pH water to keep the medium pH at 6.0 - Feed schedule is still watering every day, 3 days of feed, 1 day of plain water, although I might slip in an extra day of feed now and then depending on what the runoff is showing - Light measuring ~700 PPFD at the plant tops 7/15/24 - Frost development is picking up, but a bit slower than the Green Gelato in the same tent - Buds continuing to bulk up - Smell growing but still fairly subtle - Medium pH continues to drift up as flower goes on, adjusting water pH down to keep it around 6.0 - Runoff pH and PPM at 6.1 and 755 7/17/24 - Plant starting to get very sticky - Scent still pretty subtle - Pistils starting to darken more, more than the Green Gelato in the same tent - Despite the aggressive defoliation, it's still a bit thick in the middle- not going to pluck more at this point unless absolutely necessary, but making a note to go even further next time - Continuing with watering every day, 4 days of feed, 1 day of plain water - Runoff pH and PPM at 6.0 and 718

7/19/24 Helloooooo week 6 of flower! Things are developing, buds are bulking up, pistil darkening is picking up. Picked up a microscope to get a closer look at the trichomes as they are developing and it should be a great help watching the buds develop and mature. - Plant looks very healthy and green - Not a ton of frost development, but pistils are starting to darken on most of the tops - Plant getting a bit sticky - Trichomes are already starting to look a bit cloudy on the very tops - Light still around 700 PPFD at the tops - Watering every day, feeding 4 days then 1 day of plain water - Plant continuing to prefer lower pH water to keep the runoff and medium around 6.0 - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 884 7/21/24 - Smell continues to build and frost development still carrying on, but still not as much frost as the Green Gelato in the tent - Buds developing more color and visibly bulking up - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 770 7/24/24 - Plant getting a bit sticky, smell still relatively low but definitely present - Trichomes on top getting cloudy, pistils darkening and curing in - Bud development progressing, can see them bulking up, not a ton of frost on leaves, but looking good on buds under microscope - No change to feed and water schedule, pH drifting down, so next water will be higher to bring it back up a little bit - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.8 and 893

Everything going smoothly as we're getting close to the home stretch. - Still not much if any fade in the fan leaves, buds look great - Buds building up nicely, pistils getting a lot of color - Opened an AC vent in the room to bring down the daytime temp a bit as we are getting close to late flower - Feed schedule the same: watering every day, 4 days of feed, 1 day of plain pH water - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 824 7/28/24 - Some very nice looking buds are forming - Lots of color on the pistils, and they are starting to pull in slightly now - And going to close the AC vent during the day and open it at night to pul those temps down a bit more and create a wider swing between day and night to try to get some purple - Changing to watering everyday, but 3 days of feed then 1 day of plain water - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 970 7/31/24 - Lots of color on the pistils, starting to pull in a bit, but still quite a bit of white, especially lower on the plant - Frost development on buds picking up nicely - Moved light up by 1" to reduce light stress and also try to replicate the fading sun in autumn - Keeping AC vent closed during day and open at night, seems to be pushing the nighttime temp down to around 65 degrees while daytime is still around 77 - Changing feed and water schedule to watering every day, 3 days of feed then 1 day of plain pH water - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 849

8/2/24 Hello, Week 8, you beautiful thing. Getting close to the homestretch, making some minor adjustments in feeding and trying to land this flight smoothly. - Bud stacking still ongoing, most pistils getting dark and pulling in, buds dense and firm - Going to raise the lights by an inch or two to reduce the risk of light stress and simulate the fall light fade. Looking very green and healthy on lower leaves. - Plants still thirsty, continuing to want slightly lower pH water - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.8 and 820 8/4/24 - Trichomes beginning to cloud up on lower buds - Buds still bulking up - Nutrient uptake seems to be slowing a bit - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 840 8/7/24 - Buds continue to bulk up really nicely -Starting to see a bit of fade in the leaves, but still very green and healthy - Pistils are almost all amber and pulled in - Trichomes on all buds going cloudy, not seeing much if any amber yet - Plant still very thirsty and hungry, though nutrient uptake is starting to slow down - Feed scheduled reduced- watering every day, one day of feed, then one day of plain pH water - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 649

8/9/24 Week 9 of flower- looks like we're entering the harvest window! Coasting and maintaining a bit from here on out, probably one more week before harvest, but we'll see what happens. - Almost all pistils are dark and pulling in, buds are dense and solid - Trichomes on lower buds are mostly cloudy, still not seeing any real amber trichomes, even on the tops - Smell is finally getting fairly strong - Leaf fade on tops is picking up - Moved light up a bit further to continue to decrease light and reduce light stress - Plant still thirsty and taking up nutrients, though I'm going to start reducing feeing quite a lot as we get toward the end - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 586 8/11/24 Day 100 of this grow! - Amber trichomes are starting to show up, trichomes on lowest viable buds are mostly cloudy - Harvest will be this week some time - Flushing for 4 days now, will keep going until harvest, plant keeps taking up nutrients as runoff PPM keeps dropping faster than the other plant - Runoff pH and PPM at 5.9 and 469 8/14/24 Just waiting to harvest at this point- probably in the next couple of days over the weekend 😃 - Fade continues, looking steady, buds looking good - Amber trichomes present, but not excessive - Still some nutrients seem to be being taken up from the coco at this point and plant still thirsty - Runoff pH and PPM at 6.1 and 365

8/16/24 HARVEST!!!!!!😻 I will update this page over the next month as the plants go through their drying and curing process. Drying will take 2 weeks, then another 2 weeks for curing in jars. - Plants chopped and major fan leaves removed, but otherwise will be left for a dry trim - Plants hung in grow tent with the lights off and fans running - Humidifier in tent set to maintain 60% humidity - AC vent in the room will be left open to keep ambient temp as low as possible - Plants will hang for around 2 weeks for a slow, gradual dry 8/23/24 - Drying progressing very nicely - About 3 days in, the expected hay smell came and disappeared in about 36 hours - Buds drying well, still no snap in the branches - Tent temp staying between 68-72 degrees, humidity coming down to around 63% now as the plants dry out - Probably another 5-7 days of very slow drying to go 8/30/24 Was really hoping to be able to trim and jar everything up today, but we've had a really rainy and humid week and the ladies just aren't quite ready. - Not getting branch snap yet, but close - Humidity is hanging around 63%, drier would be nice, but it's ok - Temp has been around 73 degrees (where I have the AC set), cooler would be nice but it's ok - Hopefully 3-5 days more and we have a dry spell coming up, so getting close 9/3/24 Trim day! Finally the humidity eased up enough to get it across the home stretch- got the branch snap, and started in with the trimming. - Everything dried very nicely and consistently - The buds were mostly fairly small and spread apart instead of long-running bud clusters, but typically pretty solid little bugs - The CannaBrush didn't really work well with this plant, the buds were too small and spread out, so mostly done with scissors by hand - Going to give it a 2-week cure with daily burping - Ground up a bud and it's moisture and texture was perfect, looking forward to seeing how it matures in the jar
