I "harvested" this, and by that I mean I killed it. It took a turn for the worse last week, with a bunch of symptoms I didn't like, such as drooping leaves, fragile foliage and branches resulting in falling off leaves and easy to break lateral branching, and a yellowing of foliage.
This was caused by a trifecta of problems: 1) A week ago we had a severe heat wave, and it got much too hot for her. 2) The other plant in the bed needed a magnesium supplement, but it was too much for this plant. 3) The VPD was very high for her liking, as it has been ramping up for the other flowering autoflower in the bed.
She didn't seem to be drinking, as her lower leaves were completely dead (brown, shriveled up, and crispy). I waited a week before I decided to just rip her out of the soil, and in doing so, I noticed her root ball was very tiny. I think I made the right call, to give more room and nutrients to the other plant, about half way through blooming now. I really do not mind sacrificing this plant, as it is for the better good. We have another one of this one, also a runt, that is growing outdoors, anyway.
The attached pictures were taken during week 8 of vegetation.
I wish you also a happy grow. :) The Cannatonic is on my Seeds2Buy - List.
I planted a L.A. Ultra from Resin Seeds a few days ago, which will be the first strain from them i grow.
Good luck with this grow., growbro🙏
i have one 'deformed (have no pix of that yet) as well but she is starting to flower real nice...glad i did not terminate her
those freaks can really surprise you👍
@Grower_Of_Persia, I use a living soil. That is, everything is already present in the soil. This is more efficient than using chelated minerals. The microbiota of the soil convert the nutrients in the soil into plant digestible nutrients, and help them to absorb it. Additionally, all nutrients can be made at home, using plant and mineral-derived inputs, so it is very cost-effective. More, liquid nutrients or salts kill the beneficial elements of a good soil, and damage the environment. Finally, the end result tastes better.
Basically, I do use nutrients, but my soil inputs produce them throughout the entire grow, naturally.
Poxy heatwaves.
I hate my summers. All my grows finishing up by early July. Just too hot for growing. I used co2 last Yr to combat it. Never again. Way too much work.
GL hope they pick up for you.
@AstroBoy, my head is high, as this didn't affect me one bit. I'm more focused on the other plant in that bed (and my other gardens).
I guess we can blame @love_2_grow haha, jk. The plant left in the bed is from a seed swap with them, and it's more fun to think that the plant that I ripped out was killed by the fumigation of terpenes. It absolutely stinks like citrus in that tent, and the poor little one couldn't breathe! Hahaha
