zimmergaertner On day 2, the seedling peeked out of the soil. I was unsure whether it was the root or the stem, so I put a few crumbs of soil on top for protection from the light, just to be safe. On day 3, the sprout started to stand up. The temperature is always around 23°, and the humidity is rather low at 40%. I haven't watered it at all yet, just occasionally misted the soil around it with a spray bottle. The lamp was set at a height of 40cm and dimmed to 50%. At the end of week one, I discovered the app "Photone," which allows you to measure light intensities fairly accurately with your phone. With it, I found out that I can lower the lamp to 32 cm to achieve a light intake (DLI) of 16 mol/m^2 with a daily operation of 12 hours at 50%. I'll keep it that way in week two. The only problem is the slight temperature increase to ~26°. But I think that’s still manageable. Alternatively, I could raise the lamp higher, but I want to keep the electricity costs minimal. At 12 hours daily, 50 W, and an electricity price of 35 ct/kWh, that comes to about 6 € monthly. That's reasonable.

zimmergaertner The weather was a bit cooler and wetter, but always above 20°. By the end of the week, I started regular watering from the can (0.4 l at a time). The plant is currently growing new leaves quickly. Additionally, new side shoots (?) are appearing in the leaf axils. When you rub the leaves, they smell slightly sweet and spicy.

zimmergaertner At the beginning of week three, I started training. At first, I wanted to tie down the sprout, but I didn't like it and undid it. Instead, I applied topping. The plant seems to be handling it somewhat and is forming nice new shoots, but it was definitely a lot of stress. From now on, I will only work with gentle LST as soon as the new shoots are big enough. I also started watering with green plant fertilizer.

zimmergaertner Very fast growth, accompanied by moderate LST. Since the soil is still very moist, I only watered once this whole week with 300 ml of nutrients.

zimmergaertner Strong growth. Lots of white hairs, but no flowers yet. A little defoliation every few days. The tips of many newer leaves are yellow, so I probably gave a bit too much fertilizer. While defoliating, I noticed that some leaves have deformities, like four leaflets or strangely distorted leaves. It's probably also partly due to changing light conditions that are "confusing" the plant.

zimmergaertner The scars have increased, but still no flowers in sight. I would be very surprised if it doesn't happen in a few days. In the meantime, it's filling the whole room with a light spicy scent. I've been defoliating every few days and doing "Lollipopping Light." Due to a fungus gnat infestation, I had to water with neem oil. But it worked out well because the plant is drinking a lot anyway.

zimmergaertner Another strong stretch, finally flowers, still slight defoliation. So far so good, but the damn fungus gnats keep coming back. Watering with neem oil only keeps them at bay for a short time.

zimmergaertner Heat stress due to the hot weather, leaf tips are curling up. During sporadic defoliation, I've noticed that some of the lower fan leaves are turning yellow and drying out. As a countermeasure, I will now add Biobizz Calmag to the watering and fertilize a bit stronger. However, I assume that the lowest leaves are not affected by nitrogen deficiency (all other leaves are dark green), but are simply being dropped because they are in the shade anyway. The buds are gradually getting thicker and smell a bit stronger.

zimmergaertner Due to external circumstances, a move to the tent became necessary. Otherwise, everything is going as it should.

zimmergaertner The buds are getting denser and bigger. By the end of the week, the pistils have turned about half orange, but the resin glands are only cloudy in a few places. The yellowing of the leaves is steady; I was able to pluck 5-10 dried ones from the lower area.

zimmergaertner The buds are getting thicker, but there's still more to come. About half of the hairs are orange, and the trichomes are almost all clear. According to the breeder, the flowering time will last about two more weeks.

zimmergaertner The flowering growth seems to be complete. They've hardly gained any mass, mainly the flower buds have swollen further.

hi. Topping was the right decision. But you could have waited for another level... .
