Banana Frosting im Gewächshaus

Gisbert After one of the 2 seeds of this strain didn't germinate, this plant also has really deformed true leaves, let's see what comes of it.

Gisbert The two crippled leaves are still there, but otherwise the plant is developing wonderfully. I'm glad I didn't cull it.

Gisbert My problem child now outgrows both Purple Bud and Blueberry Zkittlez Automatic. A sturdy plant with an impressively thick stem.

Gisbert The plant has grown so big that it has moved to the middle of the greenhouse to have enough space. Soon it will have to move down a level. On day 32, I noticed the visit of snails in the evening😡 afterwards, I gave it a round of Organic growth fertilizer from Compo... Day 34 and the snail damage continues, I found two tiny snails on a yellow card yesterday and thought I would have peace now, but somehow I can't find the little creatures. On the night of day 35, I moved the plant inside; today will be the first day it only gets 12 hours of light.

Gisbert The week is starting off well, the lady is growing healthy and strong. I've switched to 12-12 so she doesn't completely blow up the greenhouse at some point. For now, I'm still carrying her into a dark room for 12 hours. I'm trying to be quite conservative with the nutrients, but on day 37, the lady got 250ml of Compo Grow Organic Bloom. The weather remains mixed to bad, and I'm not sure if the 50W supplemental light really makes a difference with 6 plants... On day 40, I gave her nutrients again, this time a whole liter.

Gisbert At the beginning of the new week, I took advantage of a brief break in the rain to have a little photo session with our ladies on the terrace. There's no sign of any special stretch yet, and I can't find any signs of flowering either. Unfortunately, the weather continues to be poor, with few hours of sunshine, snails everywhere, and the humidity in the greenhouse is too high. To top it all off, the wind rattled the greenhouse so much today that the fan fell down and killed a shoot 😏. Still, I'm satisfied with the progress. 😎

Gisbert I'm quite satisfied with the flowering signs. On day 51, my ladies had some free time since I made a few changes to my greenhouse. Today, day 56, there are a few more hours of sunshine, so the lady is going into the greenhouse.

Gisbert This week, the Banana Frosting has only grown 4cm, the smell is getting more intense, and I find the comparison between the different strains very fascinating. In contrast to my Blueberry Zkittelz, this lady is a bit too skunky for my nose. Let's see how the final product turns out. Slowly but surely, it’s starting to look like frosting, quite fitting for the name. 😍

Gisbert A few more cm have been added, and I'm quite satisfied with the flower development. The area around the flowers is wonderfully dusted. The weather remains changeable to bad! The weather is improving, but unfortunately, I have a massive infestation of fungus gnats; nematodes are on order.

Gisbert She's developing great, still 4-5 weeks until harvest, according to the breeder. The weather is incredibly good now. When I go on vacation, I have to figure out how to maintain the 12h light cycle. For watering, I ordered with Blumat. By the middle of the week, the trichomes are already nicely developed, but I don't see any amber yet...

Gisbert The BF had a little accident, I accidentally broke a branch while carrying it around. Let's see if it heals up again. I definitely splinted it with wire. I've now completely banished the plant indoors since I'm going on vacation at the end of the week. The injured stem has healed by now, and I've removed the support wire.

Gisbert I'm heading off on vacation soon, which means the ladies will have to manage without me for 2 weeks. Maybe there will be one or two pictures on Sunday morning, and then when I'm back from Spain. I'm very satisfied with the maturation and will decide after the vacation whether to harvest Banana Frosting or Purple Bud first. Right now, I'm leaning towards Banana Frosting...

Gisbert I had to do an emergency culling because of bud rot, cost me 2/3 of the main bloom and two fat side buds. 😭
