Germination proved to be a swift affair for these seeds. All four cracked open within just 24 hours, allowing for their prompt transfer into small pots. Remarkably, the seedlings wasted no time breaking free from the soil, poking their green heads through within another day.
Given the unpredictable nature of the local climate, I've opted to cultivate autoflowering varieties for this, my first outdoor grow. It will be interesting to see how these young plants progress.
Due to very poor and cloudy weather so far this summer, the girls has not been growing quite as well as I hoped. The Amnesia Auto XL unfortunately hermed out due to stress I suppose, so I had to get rid of it. The GDP has slowly started flower. I have placed my C99 in the grow tent for now, since I had the space, but intent to move her outside again soon, when I need the spot. I havent fed them any nutrients yet, but might start introducing them next week.
We've reached week four of flowering, and despite some variations in plant appearance, all individuals have successfully transitioned into flower production. Fortunately, no major issues have arisen thus far.
Summer's busy schedule has impacted my ability to provide the level of attention I initially intended. This has resulted in only a few plants receiving proper training techniques. However, the overall health and progress remain promising. Here's to continued growth in the coming weeks, and of course, some favorable weather conditions!
The weather has finally turned a corner, and my plants are loving it! They've made impressive strides over the past few weeks. The Grand Daddy Purple Auto is really stealing the show with an abundance of trichomes covering both leaves and stems. I'm also starting to see hints of purple on the top buds, though it's subtle and hard to capture in photos.
The other plants are also thriving, and it's fascinating to compare the differences between the Grand Daddy Purple, which I didn't top, and the C99, which I did. They look like completely different plants! The garden is starting to fill with lovely aromas, making the outdoor grow experience even more enjoyable. Of course, this all depends on the weather cooperating, but so far, so good!
Week eight is off to a great start! The weather has been inconsistent with sunny days followed by rainy ones, but the girls seem happy and healthy. GDP Auto continues to shine, with the others catching up quickly. She's developing a deeper purple hue each day and showing signs of frost. The garden's aroma is becoming increasingly potent, and we've received several compliments from neighbors on the lovely scent.
Week 8 is progressing well, and harvest is on the horizon. The garden is emitting a delightful aroma, and the plants appear healthy. Unfortunately, I accidentally snapped a few branches on the C99, but it seems they'll recover. The Grand Daddy Purple auto is deepening in color daily, which is exciting. I estimate roughly two more weeks before chopping time.
