I’m a couple weeks late in starting my journal but here we are. First let me thank Original Sensible Seeds for giving me the chance to grow some of their seeds for them. I have 11 plants again this year but to be less stress on myself, I’m gonna focus only on my sponsored seeds. So I’ve upped my soil game this year and will be growing in Fox Farms/Ocean Forest/Perlite soil (60%/30%/10% roughly) have some extra bags of each to add later when the roots start to really show on top of the soil. Hoping tomorrow might be the day I can toss her outside into her final pot, but worry about my dogs being assholes and ripping everyone out (they’ve already torn out a grape plant) So wish me luck and here’s hoping the dogs allow them to grow. Dogs
Sorry on little updates as I was away this week. As you can see, she had a bit of growth spurt. Finally got us some warmth, humidity and even a T-Storm for good measure. Hoping she continues to go strong this week and might be able to top her by next weekend.
She is the star of all my outdoor gals with strong and healthy looking growth. Seems to like the Happy Frog/Ocean Forest combo of soil out there. I could probably top her now but will wait until after these storms pass tomorrow. She’s gonna really explode once this hot and humid weather comes in p,
So we are midway into this heat dome and boy are we hot and humid, but she seems to like it. My mom waters the other plants we are growing in our yard every other day with this heat, and so she is kind enough to water her as well. She is easily the standout of everything I’m growing (got 11 going currently) So hopefully a full week of this weather and she can’t start limb training. Too bad my dogs can’t handle the heat for a walk, but boy do the plants love it.
This here is my star growing plant. She is healthy and strong easy growing limbs. I went ahead and topped my bottom 2 branches for hopefully 2 beefy colas once flowering. Last year my neighbour gifted me these easy training clips and seem to be working/staying on. Just one more thing to make sure the dogs don’t get but hopefully that won’t be an issue.
First, don’t take any of this weeks measurements to heart. The site keeps changing everything on me, and I’ve tried 3 times already but reverts back to something else completely. Anyways I have gone and done a little more training with my clips and I’m gonna try and mainline the top like I did last year on a MAC grow I did. That one got huge and hoping for the same here. Pretty much gonna try this with everyone I’m growing. She is still a beast when it comes to growing and her warm weather is back again
Beryl remnants passing through today. Some big loud downpours this morning before sunrise, but all seems good so far. More green foam wire out for training, and the top is mainlining nicely. So it should be fun to see if things explode in growth once Beryl leaves us and hot humid sunny weather returns
I came this close to losing EVERYTHING outside today(Monday) We have had storm after storm today and have dropped easily 3-4 inches in rain, and terrible winds during these storms. Thank god I use these rubber cans or I could been screwed that way as well. The plants have taken a beating and thankfully they have survived . . . so far.
New week, and a new look. Did some before and after pics of my defoliation and I removed a fair bit from her. Lots of inner small growths I had to slightly rip from the bigger limbs, but I think they’ll thicken up and give me some chunky colas/buds in the end.
In the last week of veg, as the flowering stretch looks to of started. Lost a lot of shade a few days ago with trees getting trimmed a good chunk. So maybe get a little more airflow with the trim, will keep my worries of wpm happening. (Like past outdoor grows of past) I swear I’ll pull out a measuring tape and get proper measurements soon, but she’s growing tall and fast since she got a drink 2 nights ago. Plus the heat and humidity this week has been intense
Wow!wow!wow! On the stretch that keeps on going outside and the pistils are really starting to show. Gal was real thirsty yesterday and so last night I gave her a big drink of water. Reason for more of the Wow! reaction on the stretch for this morning. Now we to deal with remnants again of Berry tomorrow. So hopefully we won’t have a repeat of the last giant rain storm, well no tree to fall down this time. Oh look, real measurements
Man oh man, does she like to stretch. Reminds me of my grow last year with my Slurricane, and she tripled in size and close to that I think. I’ll try my best to get new measurements soon. Gave her a good drink tonight and added some high phosphorus dried bat guano as a top dressing. So watch her just stretch again tonight and wow me tomorrow.
Looking a little in need of a watering, which will be done tomorrow morning. So I’ve added more bat guano and Epsom salt to the top of the soil tonight, and will be watered in tomorrow. I have a day off tomorrow from my new job, and I hope to get a new height for her, cause she got tall
Slapz really isn’t showing any issues in comparison to the rest of my plants outside. Maybe a leaf here and there with what could be wpm but only a handful really spotted. I’m hoping to post a new height for her soon, but I’m gonna need a ladder and calm fucking dogs too.
Holy shit we got a quick dumping of rain and my plant looks sore for it. I took some bamboo poles and braced her on the front and back after a good shake off. Should be interesting to see if she straightens up again
