RasendeRollo92 New plant, new method… let’s get started on the balcony project ;) Let’s see how long the germination takes! I’ll keep you updated :) Update 1.0 It’s time! After just over 24 hours, the seed could go into the soil! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the seedling out of joy :D … I don’t think this will harm the growth of the plant itself. I’ll keep you posted! Update 2.0 After the third day in the soil, the seedling is now breaking through the surface. I think by evening it should be completely out (it was just like that :)!). Update 3.0 On the fourth day in the soil, the first little “true” leaves are slowly becoming visible. As soon as the cotyledons are fully opened, and the little cannabis leaves start to align, the growth phase officially begins for me. How do you handle this? Update 4.0 It actually took her 7 days to develop decent first leaves, but I’m satisfied so far. She’s a bit taller than the others were at that time, but in my opinion, she’s not stretching. What do you think?

RasendeRollo92 It has now been 7 days since the seed was planted in the soil, and 4 days since the little one saw the light of day — time for the growth phase! To celebrate the day, it’s pouring rain, so she won’t be swinging on the balcony today but can enjoy her dry spot on the windowsill. Luckily, the forecast for next week looks better… but who believes that anyway 😂 we’ll see! Update 1.0 The little one is still on the windowsill, as the weather just doesn’t allow for a move outside. However, the next pair of leaves is slowly showing, so I think we’re making progress. What do you think? Update 2.0 The next pair of leaves is now clearly visible. The little one is growing quite tall, but I think it has to do with the strain (it’s supposed to grow taller than the others according to the description). I’m curious about how things will progress. Update 3.0 They grow up so fast… The first week is now over, and I’m actually quite satisfied with the little one. Starting tomorrow, she’s going out to the balcony; let’s see how she develops there. In the meantime, I filled in a bit more soil, as she had grown a bit too tall for my liking… but it doesn’t seem to have harmed her.

RasendeRollo92 The second week begins with a move to the balcony - yes, it seems to have worked this time, and it should stay dry for a while! So far, the little one is doing well. Let's see how she handles the move. ***BREAKING NEWS*** The little one was outside for maybe 5 hours at most... the conclusion is clearly visible in the pictures. Can someone explain to me what happened here?! It was a bit windy, but she was actually relatively sheltered... I brought her back to her familiar windowsill and will see if she recovers... however, she feels like pudding above the cotyledons!

RasendeRollo92 A sad day! After I was so looking forward to finally starting my outdoor project… At first, everything seemed really normal, but from one cigarette to the next (max one hour!) it turned to pudding and completely collapsed in on itself. I don’t know what happened, maybe someone here has an idea - tips and advice are welcome, that’s why I’m leaving this report open.

Looks like too much direct sun and heat. When you bring the ladies under LEDs and then put them directly in the sun, it's too much of a good thing for the little ones. For one, the amount of light is too much for them, and then there are also the different types of intense UV radiation. You can only put them in the sun for a moment or in partial shade at first. It's a bit of work for the first few days. I've had pretty good experiences with a small mini greenhouse where the ladies move in after they've germinated. For 2-3 weeks, and then under direct sun, and they thrive wonderfully. The greenhouse film filters some of the UV radiation. The little seedlings can then handle the sun a bit better. I wish you good luck with the next ladies💚🍀

@GanjaGecko, thanks for this extensive information. I'll definitely position the next one differently. Didn't think there could be any issues since it was previously on the windowsill (same side)... it's a lessons learned 🤷🏼

Oh no, how sad! I wish you more luck with your other and next grows. Have you already started a new plant 3?

@Gisbert, thank you. I'm currently germinating another Quick One as a replacement. Everything else is probably not manageable space-wise.

@RasendeRollo92, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, I know all about space issues, my greenhouse is bursting at the seams too 😎

It's definitely heat stress. My two little "Easy Bud" plants in the second or third week completely fell over after a few hours in the sun. I propped them up with chopsticks, and fortunately, they recovered and grew into healthy plants. Maybe it's not all over for them yet. 🙏

@Leimmann, now I feel guilty... the little one has already ended up in the organic waste 🙈

It could also be due to the pH level; did you maybe spill something acidic?
RasendeRollo92
RasendeRollo92 commented2y ago
@MunichGrasfabrik, not at all. Except the neighbor from above poured vinegar off the balcony 😂 Jokes aside, the top layer of soil that I filled was also dry. Underneath it was still moist, I checked before I put them outside… i

Rest in Peace! Wie gesagt, R.I.P. -

@MyBigFatSummerofGrow, thanks for your words! I'm a fan of being able to admit your mistakes too! The strain is awesome, you’re going to have a lot of fun with it.

Really a shame that it didn't work out, but the next one will be even stronger! Keep it up, Growmie! 🙏
