A short in-between grow.
Got a free seed with my actual order (thx Barney's, especially for MJ promo)and decided to go for an auto after years of abstinence from both, outdoor and automatic growing.
Will be not very special I guess, but might be interesting for the one's that don't want to spend much time and money for equipment.
Using eazyplugs for germination. Like the last photoperiod run, seed germinated within 24h.
Not sure about soil volume atm, but will be 30l or more using either my own living soil mix or I'll use a donated one for testing/experimental purpose, but this isn't delivered yet. As always, I won't use any bottled fertilizer beside organic amendments, homemade compost/wormcastings and teas.
Next update in about 7 days with potting in soil if seedling survives.
🌿💚
Welcome to first vegetation week.
It survived😁
Despite the original plan to grow completely outdoors in a 50l fabric pot I did an additional step and put it in a small airpot and into my veg tent because it's raining like hell for more than a week and I don't want to drown my only seed.
Hope to be able to transplant into the big pot next week.
We'll see. Next update in about seven days...
Have a nice week💚🌿
Hello again,
time to give up the sweet life in a cozy vegetation tent and enter outdoor environment.
We found a new living soil home on the southside balcony with around 50l volume, should be enough space for this little friend...
Soil was mixed a week ago, not as heavy amended as my indoor bed, if it's too light I can topdress easily... we'll see.
Roots developed well, I love these small airpots for early vegetation phase.
Spreaded some covercrop (seedmix by almicanna, great organic stuff and best raised beds in my opinion) and around 25ml neem cake meal (I believe in using neem as top dress is beneficial against insects you don't want in your soil)on top.
Thought about fully growing in my veg tent but that wasn't the initial plan and I wanted an outdoor grow for such a long time so this girl will live outdoors, no matter what.
Welcome to end of vegetation week 2.
After setteling outside a week ago the first thing she had to deal with was a tremendous hailstorm in the late afternoon. But she's a taker and didn't have any issues. 🤣
Growth is quite nice, cover crop showes off, will give some additional mulch to prevent fast drying but that's it.
Gonna brew some compost tea for my whole garden on sunday. Guess she will like it, too.
Oh btw I forgot to add some worms to this container... Will throw some in this evening.
Have a nice and relaxed weekend. 🌿💚
Girl is still growing.
At the end of veg week 4 we're at little above 40cm.
First signs of beginning flowering. Upcoming week will be the first flowering.
Not sure if I got a hermie here. One suspicious spot as marked on the picture.
Not a problem at all because I don't have other plants nearby so we'll see.
I can't say that there was much if any stress for this plant.
It is what it is... I think we'll have an answer in about a week.
Have a nice time...
Welcome to first flowering week.
Plant grows steadily, we're now at a overall height of about 65 cm.
Seems to be healthy as well, only one leaf looks I think sunburned... as well as the covercrop near this specific area.
I decided not to worry about 😉.
The one suspicious spot, I was afraid of in terms of having a hermie, doesn't bother me anymore. I ripped it off and not one other spot appeared. And I think my guess was wrong.
As always, we'll see...
I'll water some composttea this weekend to support flowering and that's it.
Have a nice weekend.🌿
Welcome to 2. week of flowering.
We're now at near to 80cm height.
Leaves show a healthy green and I know I already told, this plant has such an incredible scent. Love it.
Despite it's quite hot we have a lot of rain this year... makes me a little bit worried about mold in late flowering. Can't control everything😉
Buds are growing and I'm very impressed about the simplicity of this outdoor grow.
Have a good time, next update in about a week.
🌿💚
End of flowering week 3, stretch was only about 5 cm the last week and I guess that's it.
It's damn hot, but it doesn't seem to bother her.
Buds are growing together, atm small but dense.
In my opinion an absolutely beauty.
I topdress some bat guano today.
Very happy with this plant, no issues at all, loves the soil and does what it's supposed to do.
Next update in about a week.
🌿💚
Welcome to end of flowering week nr. 5.
Last 2 weeks friends took care of watering.
A really nice and easy to grow plant, few older leaves turn towards yellow, that's why I topdressed a small amount of chicken shit. In addition I'm brewing some compost tea, should be enough I guess.
Main bud as well as the side branches gain some good weight, in my opinion a very beautiful plant and pleasant genetic.
I love the scent it spreads across my whole garden.
Have a nice and green weekend🌿💚
Welcome to late flowering.
I have to admit that I really have/had concerns growing autoflowers. I'm growing for almost 2 decades but only indoor until this years decriminalisation.
I did some autos a long time ago but was never satisfied in comparison to regs or fems.
But as you can clearly see, this plant, grown in simple living soil on the balcony, performs quite serious. It will need a little longer than they predict (seed to harvest 70 to 75 days) but who cares 😉.
Have a nice time, next update in about 7 days. Harvest comes close...
Welcome to end of flowering week 7.
Temperatures dropped this week and it's constantly raining.
I think I could harvest, but I risk a few more days, whish me luck...
Love this plant, massive headbud, nice side branches and really forgiving, we were far away from the optimum related to climate.
Changed my opinion on automatics (not for indoor cultivation, there I will always prefer regs/fems over autos), because of the short cultivation period as well as the manageable height.
I'm very excited about the first smoke review.
I think we'll talk about harvest in a few days, I'm a little bit afraid of mold due to this shitty weather.
Have a nice and green weekend!🌿💚
Welcome to end of flowering week 8.
Last week I thought about harvesting, but weather got much better and will stay good for the next days.
This plant wants few more days and we will use these last sunny days. Trichomes look great. We'll chop it end of the next week I guess.
Cultivating this strain was a great experience, all we did was potting into some good and balanced living soil and watering every few days. Ok 2 or 3 times we added some compost tea. But that's it.
No ph/ec measuring shit, nothing.
I love this type of cultivation.
Have a great and green day...🌿
I'm quite impressed and satisfied.
Ok the predicted cultivation time is heavily optimistic, we harvested at day 91 since germination. 65-70 would have been way too early.
Perfect size for growing on the balcony, nice buds, not too dense.
And a really pleasant scent...
Will add a smoke review after proper drying and curing.
Welcome to end of the show.
We're at day 91 since germination and because of the weather I decided to harvest. No need to risk mold, the trichomes look good.
I took off the bigger leaves and hang it upside down.
It was a really nice experience, easy and effective.
I guess not the last run with this genetics.
Perfect size for the balcony.
Thanks for watching.
