I sort of failed with Alpha
After the second round of topping
Alpha developed a ... or rather re-developed her main branch from the Round One Topping Cut
At first, I thought hey cool, I just get an extra branch
But as she is developing, I can know see how that was a mistake
As stated, the lower round spare branch has redeveloped as the main branch
In an effort to correct, I have pulled it down and the top has responded by turning upward at a good point
So yea!
We do get an extra branch
But I still should not have let it grow out
We're still dealing with the weather/temp fluctuations.
I certainly can see a difference in the plant's development.
Watching the extended weather I do believe we are riding out the last cold front.
Some consolation is that I do have the lights and air temp dialed in.
But it's the floor and by extension the soil/root temps that are my problem.
Also this week we added TNB Naturals' The Enricher to the nutrient mix.
Won that in the GrowDiaries February contest, thought 'might as well try it' ....π
Overall - I'm not happy that my girls are unhappy
But I do know they'll be okay
@@420_observer,Sounds good, i got a bottle too... and used it... well i dont know the difference^^ but i had a wonderful harvest on this Girls... i refilled the bottle by myself with yeast and sugar..., because there were no refillers added... and it worked wonderful too.
@Mrs_Larimar, a few things happened... The weather turned and it's warmer now, I think that is the biggest contributor. But I also received the prize package from the February diary of the month contest. In that package was a TNB Enhancer CO2 system.
I strung up that CO2 bottle and it's been going for a week now. That was the other major contributor. All of the plants in that tent responded very nicely to the addition of that CO2. The GDP's blew up HUGE!
The other thing was simply paying more attention to them. Making sure they did not want for anything. Ensuring they were watered properly, and fed in a consistent manner. Doing whatever it took to maintain a good temperature thru the nights.
I knew there would be a few hurdles going from winter to spring -- and generally speaking -- I think I timed everything okay.
Given were we are right now - I believe all of the girls will turn out very nicely.π
@Mrs_Larimar, Yes ma'am - tested one out that uses champagne yeast, deploying it today. Explosions can be fun, but only from a distance π I hope there wasn't too much damage.
@Mrs_Larimar, Yes ma'am, things have gotten more stable and they are responding to that consistency. Hopefully, they're on a good run until the finish. π
