All 7 Phenos from day three after planting are showing their cotyledens. Some are stretching more than others, if this continues I will consider extending the light cycle.
At present they are getting 3-5 sprays of PH'd water (5.5) at the base once a day.
This grow, I am growing out 7 Afghan 90 seeds sourced from the real seed company. A pure Afghan Indica-type heirloom direct from 1990 Amsterdam seed stock. All info on the strain can be found on their website.
I am hunting for a classic Afghani short broad leaf type that is highly resinous with dense buds. I Intend on making clones out of my first tops and flowering the clones to determine sex. I will then separate the males and pheno hunt a breeder to put to my favourite of the females.
The goal is to keep this classic Afghani landrace alive an pollinate one or two of the colas to harvest some F1 seeds, I will take a second set of clones prior to flowering to have mothers for the next run that replicate this cycle to add even more F1s to my collection.
This will be the first time I have ever done any pheno hunting and breeding. So I am naturally very excited about this run. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I will
