Hello Waynewhiteski420,
You want to trim them good before you close and seal the jars. You want the buds to keep an stable humidity from 62% in the jar to prevent mold but still let the buds be able to process the sugars while curing. You van not use the extra moist from the leaves and from the sticks inside the jars. This will cause mold and other humidity problems inside the jar. And opening the jar will let the buds dry out and stop the curing process.
My advice, take a spliff and start trimming those beautiful buds that is your reward from growing the plants. And adding a Boveda 62% humidity pack is always handy to make sure that you keep the humidity around 62%
