First time growing in coco, it ended up being a little hot after I rinsed it out, so my ph is a little high for my liking. But all three beans popped so I'm happy

Slowly dropping the ph down to 5.8, I can tell I stunted the growth just a tiny bit. But I checked the bottom of the cups on day 10 and I saw some root heads poking out the holes on the bottom, so the roots are growing atleast👍 Day 14 today is the last day I will be giving them water only, next watering will have cal mag and GH nutrients and silicate. Runoff was 5.9 ph, so im finally in the sweet spot

Day 18 and they're finally starting to grow, leaves started to yellow on day 14 so I gave a light feed on day 15, and again today on day 18. new growth still has purple stems so I may add more cal mag next feed Day 20 and they're really starting to green up on top, I think i waited too long to give them their first feed, I'll start on day 7 next crop. PH of feed was 5.9 and ppms were 364 feeding every other day

Day 29 and I'm switching to transition nutrient ratios, transplanted into 1 gallon pots on day 28. I'll be back on day 34 for another update. I'm excited to see what these plant are going to yield being in such small containers Day 34 and they have really stretched! Anyone have any tips on helping an iron deficiency? My og kush being a little sensitive

I've be out of town since last Sunday, just stopping by to water when I could, so they didn't get as much nutrients as they needed, but on day 37 they aren't looking too bad! Stretched a bit more than I Expected, I'll definitely be using lst next time aroundDay 40 and the buds are starting to swell! I DEFINITELY should not have supercropped at all, got a little too stoned and thought I'd seee what would happen, bad idea Day 42 and I started on full strength cool bloom and terpinator 1/2 strength

Getting pretty frosty up in here! Should be some good smoke! It's day 65, I'm thinking about starting flush on day 70, is this too early? I'm going to flush for atleast 7 days Day 69 and the girls are starting to ripen!

thanks for the reply👍 I've cut back on watering, but I defitnely overwatered at first because my run off ph was still really high, 6.6 ph for coco is not optimal, so I watered heavy with 5.8 ph water every other dayto drop it down closer to that sweet spot

I'd suggest just giving ph'ed water at least1 time once you start seeing a defficiency instead of less nutrients
StanGrows
StanGrowscommented8 years ago
@Bstoner, I'm in Coco and I did not feed them at all until they started to yellow. They started to yellow because they had no nutrients in the coco to uptake, because coco has no nutritional value to it. I see what you're saying, but you're thinking I had been feeding them before I had a deficiency, which I was not. Hope this clears things up
Bstoner
Bstonercommented8 years ago
@Stanthaman,i mean when you saw a defficiency coming up you gave less nutrients, you mentioned a " light feed ", giving them just plan ph'ed water in that case instead of a light feed would help them recover easier imo
StanGrows
StanGrowscommented8 years ago
@Bstoner, I gave them water only for the first 14 days, then began feeding once I noticed they were yellowing. Growing great now👌

Usually you supercrop a plant, when she gets to big, to fit it under a trellis...
StanGrows
StanGrowscommented8 years ago
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, my goal was to supercrop it for 12 hours and let the lower nodes catch up, It seems to have worked a little, just an experiment gone a little too extreme😬 You're right though I should have had them in a trellis if I was going to supercrop like that, it was way to much on the plant

Before flushing, what the trichomes look like ?
BigDaddyK
BigDaddyKcommentedweek 58 years ago
6.5 is the optimal ph , if you go too low the plants will yellow 👍

Purpling is mostly due to Mg deficiency Mg deficiency is mostly due to overwatering or too much light

They are mostly milky with a few amber and some clear, but most of the pistols are white
