This is my like 3rd or 4th go at starting cannabis seeds, it has been a long and difficult process to learn to say the least. After my first few failures were caused from me being stressed and clueless, I had the worst possible soil and i overwatered the fuck out of them. This go I decided to ignore whatever germination process, and just throw them in soil, mist a little every day and keep it covered. After about 4-5 days, both seeds popped up and thats where we are now.
The growing environment is a small shed and I'm growing in 5 gallon pots with roughly 75% Promix Premium All Purpose and 25% perlite extra although idk how close that is i just eyeballed it. Unfortunately, the plants will have to be moved outside into the bush for the next few days so I'm hoping nothing happens to them.
It's been an alright week for these plants, I didn't end up having to take them outside like I thought I did (thank god). The temperature has been in a more comfortable place this last week, between 19-28 which is a lot cooler than my previous attempts. I'm going to slow down my watering to every second of third day with higher volumes. The second plant had a lot of trouble breaking out of its seed, and only cracked it open around day 4 so thats why that plant is a bit behind.
Big things are happening to the grow shed within the next few weeks. We have rockwool insulation waiting to be put in and I ordered a 6 inch inline fan to pump air into and out of the shed that we''ll setup when it comes in. Stay tuned yall this might be good.
Horrible news this week fellas. Damn grasshopper crawled into the shed through the cracks and killed 2/3 of my plants. Not to worry, more seeds are on the way, and we are currently in the process of insulating the shed and getting the inline fan put up. So basically we won more than we lost this week because the plants were still youngins. Plethora of new seeds on the way, and dare I say maybe even a few more pots to get more growing. Insulation and fan installation should be done by the weekend.
Lucky for me, the only plant that the grasshopper didn't devour was the runt of the liter. The little one that I pray isn't stunted because it took ~6 days to break the seed shell apart and took a lot longer to develop it's leaves. It seems to be super happy, I'm thinking about top dressing with some all purpose shit and maybe a lil powerbloom if I feel like it. Since it's a bit behind, I'm going to hold off on liquid nutrients until next week.
Been SUPER busy and have had a hard time keeping up with everything. The video was from a few days ago, I don't think I was watering enough. Shes growing nonetheless, and ill be starting liquid nutes this week
