Kingkush08 Week 5 Flowering Update: Thriving Despite Thrips
Welcome back to my Week 5 flowering update! This week has been quite a journey for my cannabis plants, but overall, I'm seeing some promising signs of progress.
**Pest Control and Plant Health**
No pest issues this week! After spotting thrips earlier, I took action by wiping down all the leaves with a neem oil solution. It seems to have worked wonders—the plant has bounced back beautifully and looks healthier than ever. Neem oil has been a game changer in keeping pests at bay and maintaining plant health.
**Nutrient and Flushing Adjustments**
Given the plant’s strong recovery, I'm considering halting nutrient feedings and starting a flush this week. The increased presence of brown trichomes suggests it's nearing harvest time, and flushing will help ensure that the final product is smooth and free of excess nutrients.
**Trichome Watch**
Speaking of trichomes, there are more brown ones this week, which is a sign of maturity. I’m keeping a close eye on their development to gauge the perfect harvest time. If you have any tips on trichome color and harvest timing, feel free to share!
Overall, it's been a productive week with some encouraging developments. Looking forward to sharing more as we move closer to harvest. Stay tuned for next week's update!
Happy growing!

Kingkush08 Week 6 Flowering Update: A Challenging Week
Welcome to my Week 6 flowering update! This week brought some unexpected challenges, but I’m relieved to say that things are looking better now.
**Bud Rot Scare**
Unfortunately, I had to be away during the hottest weekend of the year, and when I returned, I found the early signs of bud rot on my plants. It was disheartening to see, but I took immediate action and disposed of all the affected flowers. Fortunately, after a thorough inspection, I haven’t seen any further signs of bud rot, so I’m hopeful that the issue has been contained.
**Flushing Begins**
This week also marked the beginning of the flushing phase. No more nutrients for the plants—just plain water from here on out. The goal is to clear out any remaining nutrients to ensure a clean and smooth final product when it’s time to harvest.
Despite the setback, the rest of the plant is looking strong, and I’m cautiously optimistic as we move closer to harvest. I’ll be keeping a close eye on things to ensure there are no more surprises.
Thanks for following along, and here’s to hoping for a smoother week ahead!
Happy growing!
