Doing it Hippie Style. No till soil. The only nutrients are Humic, Fulvic, Molasses and a pinch of H2O2 for extra oxygen in the soil.. (no bottled nutes). Top fed with 1 year old composted chicken poop from my own premium fed chickens. Gopher Reaper is on the job and our only obstacle now is surviving the caterfnpillars. Lord send me some good BT (unlike last year when you sent yoo-hoo)
Sorry for not posting veg. I had a calamitous first half of 2024 but I am back on the horse accompanied by GP :)
She is 8ft tall so hard to take pics without a ladder. Need to get it back from my brother in law.
You know that feeling you get right before your blind date walks through the door?
She gets BT tonight. After that it's just filtered water with a kiss of organic soluble pot-sul. I ph adjust with vinegar to 6.5 ... I have gotten 4lb dry bud plants just doing this..
She is the only survivor from a batch of 10. A cat got in where I had my seedlings and dug them all up exept this one.
She is a 4 month vegger. Close to 8 1/2 feet tall which shows I didn't train her when she was young because I have 3 rules: Top, keep her short and top again. I just put her in the ground all hammered. Up til now I have fed her nothing but organic homemade media plus Fulvic, humic, seaweed, molasses, h2o2 (an 8 ounce glass of 3% in a 55 gallon barrel), bubbled filtered water. All I am going to give her now is a little Vinegar to get my water 6.5ph and some organic pot sul.
I am in sunny So Cal. Past two months have been 95 to 109 degrees and she loves it (as long as I water twice a day). Hardly a cloud in the sky the whole time. Humidity is in the low teens. That combo gets me 4-5 lbs as long as I have the right genetic and it looks like she is going to get me up there. No need for any bottled nutes... and there goes any potential nutrient sponsers... 😬
We've avoided the gophers, haven't seen one aphid and I BT'd her for caterpillars. Should be all downhill from here.
If you know you have an amazing clone, lets team up and I will grow it for you and we split the poundage.. 😎 My email is [email protected]
Wow, nice. So my standard outdoor grower question is: what latitude are you at? I’m way far North at 53N and I’m wondering if this could be done here. Thanks, nice work, and good luck with the rest of it.
Oh, and you should check out using malted barley to provide P, K and enzymes making it perfect for flowering stage. Almost as wonderfully cheap and effective as molasses and kelp for growing. 👍
@Northern_Ent, Thank you. I am at 33N. Not far from San Diego. July thru September is sunny, 98-109F and very dry (as low as 11rh). No bottled nutes can beat that. If I have the right genetic, I can grow a 5lb plant in the plain dirt. Hard to believe, I know... but it's happened 3 times. Pretty sure this girl is going to get me between 3-4 lbs.
and yes, that is great advice. Next year I will use "whole" organics instead of "processed" organics. Omri labeled bottles and packages are better than chems but not truly organic. Did you know Humic, fulvic and seaweed are all processed with potassium hydroxide? That's why they have a K rating of 1. That stuff is nasty and not organic. No offense to my fellow growers. We all do what we can.
I wish everyone a beautiful harvest!
