I'm super excited to try these seeds from Barney's Farm. I've seen lots of great grow journals and reviews on this company so I'm excited to do this strain. I particularly like lemon terpenes and a sativa style buzz, so I'm hoping this strain will deliver the punch with a smaller autoflower plant. I put three seeds in their plugs last Sunday, and two popped on Saturday this week. New this run, I put the plugs in my old aerogarden so that the nute solution would be continuously fed and a light switched on and off during the germination period. I used the seedling week of nutes from growweedeasy.com. When the babies are a little bigger they will move to their 5-gallon DWC buckets in the grow tent! If the third seed pops I'll update this week.

I love the growth of the roots in the Aero-garden! They look much better than when I just placed the Rapid Rooters in the windowsill. Moved the girls to their buckets on Tuesday, which I included a photo of, and then today, Sunday. Great root growth for just a few days. Right now they are in the small tent, but they will probably move to a larger tent with a bigger light once I harvest the ones in there. Set up: 5 gal bucket 5 inch net pots filled with expanded clay pellets One air stone bubbling constantly One fan blowing constantly Lights on 18/6 Nutes: Well water that has been filled and sitting in 5 gallon buckets for a couple days (about 3 gal each) General Hydroponics Floraseries Trio CaliMagic Hydroguard I use the schedule from growweedeasy.com, week 1 nutes.

This week has been good, the roots look happy, and I changed their nute water out Saturday, Aug 31, and put in week 3 nutes. Lemon Haze 2 is growing bigger than LH 1, but that may be because she is positioned directly under the lamp ( I have 3 small plants under one lamp, so LH 2 was in the middle). I switched their positions today. So far so good, but going to keep a close eye on the roots as I've gotten root rot in a couple of my other plants this week.

BAM! Lemon Haze is growing really nicely and is about to flip to flower this week, if not already. I included pics of what may be hairs at the nodes, got a nice light green color at the tops of the colas, and they are starting to stretch, at least LH 2 is. Surprisingly, LH 2 is significantly larger than LH 1. I thought swapping positions under the light would allow LH1 to catch up, but not yet. I did LST on LH2 Wednesday, but I haven't done it to LH1 yet because she hasn't gotten as large. The tips of some of her leaves are a little burned, so maybe pH or nute burn, but since the new growth and roots look so good I didn't change the water all week. I changed the water today and added week 4 nutes. Still checking plants and roots 2x per day to make sure root rot doesn't develop, but since it's been much cooler up here I think we are in the clear.

These girls had a hell of a veg cycle, I just hope they don't get TOO big. One of the phenotypes is way larger and a little further along than the other, but the leaves and grow style seem the be similar, maybe just a bit of natural variation. They are already getting a little bit of a smell when I defoliated, and I'm getting some lemon! Looking forwared to the rest of this grow.

Bad news - some of my plants got little black worms in their roots. After doing some research, I determined this was drain fly larvae, and that these mosquito dunks should do the trick to kill them. Neither of the Lemon Hazes' had the larvae, but they got the dunks anyway. Not supposed to harm plants but we will see if it does anything to them. One of these girls has stretched a ton. She is going to be big, and probably take a long time to flower, typical of most sativas! They look happy and healthy though, so I defoliated and lollipopped some.

Major defoliation happened this week, as I was having some high humidity levels in the tent and I feel like it's time to get some airflow around those babies. I always feel bad when I do the shwazze thing because they look so charlie brown like, but I included a couple photos from a few days later to show how well they tolerated the abuse. Damn if these things don't have sativa genetics, and one of the plants has stretched all the way up to the light. There are a ton of bud sites, hopefully they fatten up!

These girls are rocking it out. One phenotype is still significantly shorter than the other, and not as far along in the flower cycle. The taller plant has buds stacking up really well while the shorter one is just getting going in her flower cycle. I wonder if because she is shorter she is getting a lot less light? Not sure, but the roots and plants look very healthy and are starting to get a smell I'm looking forward to ripening up. Both are in need of some defoliation as their fan leaves are already starting to get brown and they aren't getting enough light to the buds down below. I think I defoliated two weeks ago and I like to go 3 inbetween, but we will see if I can wait that long.
