Been a while since i last updated. and alot has changed.
Image 1 - Trained Lizzi
This image is my first image in my new grow tent, under my Spider Farmer SF1000D Grow light. turns out home made grow lights work a little, but not enough as the difference in growth rate is second to none
2 - Lizzi Bud
This is my first auto plant. after a slow start she finally started catching up. Under my Home made Grow Light she was receiving about 400 PPFD. at a distance of about 3 inches. this was no good.
Since changing to this SF1000D light, its been about 3 weeks. and since then. she popped these little white hairs. i got excited as like i said this was my first auto. so will be my first time smoking what i know to be an auto.
3-4-5-6 = Lizzi Leaf Discoloration
in the 2 weeks, some changes have happened. i had an issue with fungus gnats. they were everywhere. so done some research and made a potion from garlic powder, lemon and peppermint extract oil, and mild chilli powder and water, good shake, and a very light spray outdoors, over the plants. this booted those suckers out pretty fast and i move into the shed. all the flying gnats were left outside. i figured i wanted a barrier to prevent this happening again. so i placed a 3cm layer of sharp sand on top on top of the soil. now they cant get in or out. after a few days. i did the unthinkable. sprayed a can of raid fly and wasp killer in the tent. and its eradicated every living thing in the tent. great job.
the leaves have started changing in the last week, and im confused. on one hand we have burnt tips. so im thinking to many nutes. but we also have browning on the edges of leaves. so its confusing me
The Soil is a - Westland, Multi purpose Compost, with added john innes. is a nice quality soil. i have grown lots of veg and tomatoes and a tonne of chillis, and so on in the same soil. its good soil and i wont hear a bad word said about it ha ha.
in any event, it has good drainage and built in nutes, (hopfully organic). the bag says there is nutrients a plenty for at least 6 weeks. so by this point i could be running low. i was using the Royal Queen Seeds Easy Grow Fertilizer tablets at a slightly weaker dilution. but have ran out and need more as i like the ease of the tablets.
would like to know what people think
Looks amazing.

If you have any time to spare please visit my profile, I just started 2 new journals👨🏽🌾
to get rids of fungus gnats ....
1st sticky traps will take care of the reproductive flying one
2 nd put cinamon stick in your pot, and/or add few drop of cinamon essencial oil in your feeding water, will work as a natural repealant, ( it will reduce the population, but not get rid of them) also it smell good
3rd the final step required some mosquito bits witch is BTI (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) essencialy a microbial insecticide that will kill the larve
ive found my own solution to fungus gnats, its a few different steps
step 1:
Get your self some boiling water, add to a jar, jug or glass. add 1 tea spoon of garlic powder. 1 tea spoon of chilli powder, and about 15ml of lemon extract oil. mix and leave to cool off
Step 2.
Add the water mix to a spray bottle and shake well. Next remove the plant from the grow area and take outside, lightly spray over the plant with the mix. and onto the soil. youll see gnats flying for the hills. leave for an hour or so to dry off.
Step 3
Get some Raid fly killer, Empty the grow space (Tent) of plants, spray lightly around the tent. close it up and let the ventilation air it out for 20 mins
Step 4
go back to your treated plants. and spray the soil lightly again. move location to lose the gnats. and cover the soil with sand or sharp sand on the top of your soil. (this creates a barier to keep the gnats from entering or exiting the soil)
Step 5.
Leave the soil unwatered for 3 days. place in a pot and water from the bottom if requiered. dont water the top. in these days gnat die, and any larvae will grow up, and die, trapped in the soil
this has worked wonders for me and is now my go to method of extermination. there are drawbacks, from here on out i have to water from the bottom. by putting a dosage in a pot. and putting my plant in it.
water from the top can make little wholes in the sand and allow a way in and out.
no sticky traps Requiered
Well turns out could be £13 growlight from ebay. Also. Ive been a fool. I bought a combo pack of RQS easy grow and bloom. And this idiot have mistaken the tabs. And been trying to grow with my bloom nutrients, and blooming with grow nutrients on other plants. No wonder one of those plants is 7ft tall
