BackdoorMan First time grower. Southwest Ohio. Received a Runtz Layer Cake seedling from my son, and planted it in a soil, sand, gravel, and potting soil mixture, in a plastic five gallon bucket with plenty of drainage holes drilled in the bottom. Picture from May 25.
BackdoorMan Second half of July and pre-flower stretch.

BackdoorMan I like the development of the plant. I forgot to mention that I didn’t use veg fertilizer until July, and used flowering nutes only for the first three weeks of flowering.

BackdoorMan She is putting on bud weight, has reached 70” tall, and has been really easy to grow.

BackdoorMan This is decision time. Hurricane Helene is bringing wind and eight straight days of rain. Buds are beautiful. Colas are 15” long, but not quite at full ripeness.

BackdoorMan I decided to chop before the wind and rain of Helene hit. Did a wet trim before the chop. Definitely was a good choice for me. The root ball was interesting. I have 11 pint mason jars, each 2/3 full curing! (A quick roll and smoke tells me we have a winner!) Runtz Layer Cake. Thank you to my son and Barney’s Farm for the seed and seedling!
