OG Kush-Heirloom

Too early for training, but moving along nicely. 2nd set of leaves coming in. Increased light to 360ppfd still at 21" from canopy. Plant will be run at 24hrs of light for 1 more week.

Solid week of growth under 24hrs of light. Cranked the ppfd up to 500s and she handled it like a champ. Still feeding off the slow release Gaia Green 444 and worm castings. She gets between 4-6oz of water every other day, watering when the pot is light. Training will start during the next week to get the mainline going. So far, I'm very happy with the progress from the OG KUSH from Seedsman.

Week 3 has arrived and training has started. Still feeding off the slow release amendments and watered when the pot is light. Fimmed 3 mains, but one naturally had 2 tops already. Top count will remain at 8 as I only have 3 more weeks of vegging before she has to be flipped. She got her weekly dose of Recharge at 1tbsp per gallon. Light was raised to 26 inches due to signs of stress in the leaves.

Another week of training down. Leaves are starting to smell skunky now and no signs of deficiencies or struggle. Environment has been steady and the Kush has been loving it. Starting the transition to flower (flip is in 2 weeks) so she's been fed a bloom mix and some all purpose to get her ready. Figure it'll be about a week before the slow release is available for the plant and in her system by flip. Fingers crossed, but I'm hoping for explosive growth soon. She's relatively modest in size right now, but getting nice and wide.

Week 5 done and the OG Kush is growing at a steady pace. She got some pruning and adjusting and has sprouted a bunch of viable side shutes. Still on the fence if I'm keeping any, but I will most likely tie down the mains to my catch pan due to the plant exceeding the width of the pot by about 3 inches. Bloom slow release should be available to the roots during the next week. 1 more week of vegging under the 100w ac110 then onto the big girl tent.

Week 6 down and the OG Kush has been moved into the big girl tent to start her flower cycle. All 8 tops are fairly even and even throwing pitils. Leaves are getting a stronger, skunk aroma which has me very excited to smell the terps on the flower. Maintenance was minimal, just watering when light. Side note, I missed a day on pics...my bad 😊

Week 1 of flower is going great. Drinking a bit more now and sitting under the AB Lighting TL840 tuned to 600w. Giving the Kush about 600ppfd to soak up at a distance of 3ft. No signs of stress or deficiencies. I'll be cleaning up the bottom 3rd of the Kush, but for now I'm leaving all the leaves I can to aid in her stretch.

Week 2 of flower the Kush was on cruise control. Clipped 12 clones off of the lower 3rd and left the rest to flower. She got a healthy top dressing of Gaia Green 4-4-4, 2-8-4, 3tbsp of guano and 3 tbsp of castings. Flower sites are starting to develop which means defoliation is in the near future.

Week 3 of flower went smooth. The Kush got defoliated to expose bud sites to more light. Still feeding off the slow release top dressing of 444 and 284. She's drinking more water more frequently. She's also been moved to a Spider Farmer 5x5 tent and sitting under the Spider Farmer SF7000 cranked to a full 700w.

The OG Kush has wrapped up week 4 of flower. She got a healthy defoliation to expose bud sites, and is now on track to bulk up. She's been moved to the center of the tent for the rest of the grow. She's recharged and on cruise control from here on out...only removing dead leaves. Starting to smell like a funky citrus fruit. Still pretty light on the nose and trichome production has been minimal.

Cruise control for the OG Kush. Heading into the final weeks, so I'll be removing odd fan leaves here and there and giving her one last light top dressing. She's drinking water daily now and trichome production is finally ramping up.

Stacks on stacks! The OG Kush has hit day 42 of flower and she's starting to bulk up. Still throwing plenty of pistils. Gave her a heavy defoliation to let those sugar leaves put in the work for those buds. Gave the Kush one last top dressing of castings, Gaia 284 and a splash of guano along with her weekly recharge watering. This cultivar has been very low maintenance since flip, whis is awesome when running multiple cultivars in multiple tents 😆

Week 7 of flower in the books and the Kush is in the home stretch. Pistils are all turning orange and buds are getting thick and resinous. She's got a nice citrusy smell and the colas are all swaying in the breeze. Shout out to Seedsman for these stable genetics. No deficiencies or issues that I had to fix along the way. Really happy I still have a couple more seeds left over.

The OG Kush made it through her final week of flower...56 days in total. Super sticky and smells like a mix of limonene and pinene and a hint of sweetness on the back end. I'm definitely happy I have a couple more of these beans. Super smooth run, chunky resinous buds. Thank you to everyone that visited to check my first Grow Diary out. Well, not the biggest yield from my little mainline...28g of keeper buds and 28 grams of trim and little buds for RSO. The smell from the buds is hard to pinpoint. A little pine, a little sweet, a little chicken soup. Very much on the earthy side and affects are smooth and sedating. 100% some chill, social smoke or great for anxiety.
