Seeds popped through the surface on the 1/1/19, new year, new life! Did not plan that at all but I'll take it. Here we have some delicious Sweet Mango Auto-Fem from Greenhouse Seed Company. Even if the seeds are a year old the taproot popped within 2 days and all 5 seeds sprouted and are growing vigorously. I have kept 3 the other 2 I gave to a family member. For this grow I will be using the full line of organic nutrients from Bloom Yellow Bottles so I'm looking forward to seeing and tasting the results. I wouldn't really call this the first week, this would be more like their first 4 days of life. Heat will probably be an issue as it is summer and the garage gets hot, even with an extraction fan and a fan in the grow tent I can only get it down to 29 Celsius in the tent so and that is with only the Veg light setting on, once the flowering lights come on it gets up to 32C, I will have to keep an eye on the thermometer. Peace!!
Good growth in the first week, everything moving along well. starting to see a few more leaves. also supplementing this grow with mycorrhizal inoculant to help the root structure and we all want bigger roots, don't we? See you next week!
Two of the three are growing fantastically, from the previous week - 5cm increase in height and 10cm increase in horizantal growth. The other one has noticable lack of height and horizantal growth. Probably because of it position in respect to the light but that has been rectified and hopefully she will pick up with the better light position. Heat has been a real problem this week, two 40 degree days back to back have got me scrambleing to keep temps down in the tent. I cant fit an a/c unit in there because it is too small so i have an air duct going from the main house to the tent so it can suck in some cooler air, still temps have been higher than i wanted them to be. sitting at 32-33 celsius. started with a silica regiment to help with the high temps and ill probably add a source of CO2 as well to help with the temp. over all the plants look healthy and growing fine! going full recommended strength with the nutes, the plants seems to be taking it well! till next week, PEACE!
Good growth for the 2 strong plants, 13cm in 1 week on one and 10cm on the other. Cleared the bottom area up a bit didn't take too much off, and started LST on some branches to open up the base to get good light penetration. The runt of the family how ever I just decided to fuck around with it, LST the whole plant just for shits and giggles. Heat has been an issue again this week, temps will not be going below 30 celsius the whole week and friday we are expecting 40 celsius, FUCK! The tent is going to be roasting. As you can see there are some pre-flowers coming out, on track for a quick harvest hopefully. Over all happy with the progress! See you next week.
Excellent growth on the 2 stronger plants SWEET MANGO #1 (13cm in 1 week) and #2 (10cm in 1 week), the Shit Kicker has had some growth but nothing considerable as you can see from the photos. Into the second week of pre-flowering, have been watering with 4L of pH 6.0 water per plant on top of the feeding schedule every week, the plants seem to be dealing well with the nutrient regimen, and light schedule. Heat has still been a problem with the temp not going below 32 Celsius in the tent during the lights-on period when it is still daylight, but overall I haven't had any telltale signs of heat stress thankfully. I did a little more LST on some of the branches to bring them out so they get as much light as possible since the plants are going into full flowering. Hopefully, the two big girls won't stretch much more as I'm already maxed out on the height of my light, otherwise, i might have to bend the top a bit, till next week, Peace!
First actual week of flowering, some height gained on the #1 (10cm) & #2 (5cm). I had to bend the top of #1 due to it being too close to the light. Lots of bud sites showing up on all three of the plants. Sweet Mango #3 (The smaller one of the lot) has had some stretch during the last week which is positive, realistically if #3 nets me an ounce of bud ill take it as a win. Overall things are looking great, now we just wait for them to pack on the weight on those buds! till next week.
Everything is coming along very nicely. Plants seemed to have stopped stretching and now into bulking up. Temperatures have dropped in the tent and are now at an acceptable and stable level. no nutrient deficiencies, no pests. Flowers are starting to put on weight, the smell off the flowers is fruity, piney, citrus, GORGEOUS!! till next week
