All updates will be made here until seedling stage is over.
I wish they had a seedling stage for the week type options.
SE4500 dimmed to 40% at 50" over plants. Ran 24 hours of light for 3 days then went to 20/4.
Saturday 09/14
Dropped 3 seeds in a shot glass of bottled spring water.
I placed the shot glass on a ACI Suncore H3 heat mat and set at 88 degrees to help warm the water.
I covered the shot glass with a dome tray and propped 1 side up with a wireless thermometer/hygrometer sensor to help raise the air temp.
Sunday 09/15
After 13 hours of soaking, place the 3 seeds in wet paper towels and placed on heat mat and covered with dome. Lowered heat mat temp to 85 degrees.
Monday 09/16
(Morning) 12 hours after placing seeds in paper towels, seeds cracked and showing tap root.
(Evening) 9.5 hours since tap root observed, now is proper size for planting (forgot to take tap root pic before planting 🤦♂️).
Planted each seed in a 3 gallon pot with Pro-Mix HP-M.
Sprayed soil and covered planting area with solo cup.
09/18
40 hours after planting, all 3 have broke ground. 1 has seed shell and stuck membrane.
The one that is open the most was the seed with the longest tap root when I planted them, it's the middle plant in the tent.
Removed cups/domes from 2 of the plants, left a cup/dome over the sprout with stuck membrane and seed to help keep moist.
09/22
The plant that sprouted with the shell and some membrane was not growing true leaves.
2 nights ago I used a jewelers loupe to inspect the plant.
I found some membrane in the middle of the cotyledons.
I used a drop of water and fine tip tweezers and slid the membrane off.
Last night I inspected and it looked as if something was starting to grow.
Today I checked and the leaves are definitely starting to grow, I expect they will be mutated though.
I thought it was also interesting that the plant not growing leaves has cotyledons twice the size as the other 2 plants.
09/28
I posted the seedling stage updates in with the germination week.
I would normally do a longer seedling stage but I don't want to make the germination week to long.
I know some people don't do a seedling stage but I like to for my own records.

Last week 2 of the plants leaves started to become lighter.
Pro-Mix HP-M doesn't have any nutrients so I started the plants on a low dose, the color of the leaves came back.
1 plant is growing mutated leaves, each set is getting better.
The cotyledons were starting to yellow last week so I fed it the same dose as the other 2.
It seemed to be exactly what it needed, started to grow a little faster.

Day 14 from sprout
Getting bigger everyday!
7 more days and they will be topped, well at least the 2 biggest plants but the weird leaf girl is starting to pick up pace so 7 days might be enough growth for her to get topped as well.
Started adding Silica at 1.25 ml/gal
I think the plants are big enough to be watered with the SIP now so this weekend I'll setup the wicks and fill the ACI Bases with water/nutes.
I'll probably double my nutrients at that time as well, except for Cal-Mag and maybe Silica.

Start of Week

I can't wait to see what the "goofy" grows out to be!
Starting to see some action in the middle of the plant since last update!
Almost looks like I'm going to have 3-4 branches right in the crotch, if the others start taking off.
The bigger growth in the middle is definitely moving quick now!
Even though it looks goofy, it's as healthy as the other 2 plants I would say.
I topped the 2 "normal" plants.
Put the wicks into the AC Infinity Self-Watering Bases and filled each with 1 gallon of water/nutrients.
I raised the nutrient strength for the 2 "normal" plants, "goofy" plant is getting half the strength of Micro, Gro, and Bloom.
Was thinking of turning on the deep red supplement bars to get these to stretch a little bit, the plants are pretty compact.
10/08
The "goofy" plant is moving pretty good now, just in time since they will only be in veg a few more weeks.
The lowest branches on the biggest plant are now the tallest branches, few more days and I'll be able to start LST. The leaves on this plant are fairly big, definitely showing that indica!
Node spacing is starting to increase, these plants are pretty compact so definitely a good thing.

Start of Week

Did some LST training today.
Yes, I even trained the goofy plant.
I had to take 2 leaves from her, they just covered a lot of the other growth so they had to go.
Node spacing wasn't long enough for me to put a clip on the biggest branch so I used garden wire to keep it down.
I started using the LST clips I purchased on Etsy for my 1 gallon challenge plant and now these Blackberry Auto, I will say I like them a lot more then a scrog net.
Just seems much simpler then putting up my scrog net/frame, then cutting the plants out of it at harvest, and then taking it apart again.
Thinking of trying to run LST clips only on my next 8x4 photoperiod run.
Goofy plant was on 1/2 the nutrient dose of the other 2 plants last week, they are all now on the same dose.

Started to Flower
Goofy plant not showing it's flowering yet.
SE4500 dimmed to 40%
2 more branches on the goofy plant got tall enough to train.
Toward the end of la week I noticed some water on my leaves and the top of the medium of the goofy plant was wet, should be dry because it's bottom fed.
My humidity was sitting higher then I would of liked, didn't want to run dehumidifier because I had plants in another tent drying.
I recently purchased the AC Infinity Thermoforge Heater and my day temps were 74-75 so I setup the heater to turn on at 75 and off at 77.
Within 10 hours, humidity issue was fixed.
10/21
Goofy plant has really exploded since last week.
I'm going to have to trim some leaves if I want any chance of getting some good buds from this plant.
1 of the normal plants (middle) is pushing purple already ☺️

Lowered from 20 hrs of light to 18.
Started using UV, IR, and Deep Red Supplement Bars.
UV - 5 minutes every 1 hour
IR - 15 minutes before lights on and 15 minutes after lights off
Deep Red - on during main lights on
The other normal plant is now showing purple.
Just watching them develop.

Major issues
Since the last cleaning and filling of the Self-watering bases, the roots have grown down the wicks and spread throughout the base.
Leaves on plants turning yellow and brown.
Removed roots that grew out of pots and into bases.
Stopped using bases.
Center plant leaves are completely folded, idk if it will make it.
I've never experienced this growing Photoperiods, never had a toxicity or deficiency with Photoperiods either.
This is my 1st auto grow and it's sure teaching me a lot...
I know they might not make it and I could of just got rid of this diary but I believe in documenting not only my successes but also my failures.
It's all part of my journey and learning experience growing Autoflowers.
I'm not giving up yet!
11/10
Looking much better and should have no issues getting to harvest.
I was advised to check the ph of my soil.
Tested right at 6.5
Tested nutrient solution, 6.5
Soil is buffered and I just learned from General Hydroponics website that the Flora Series Nutrients are also ph buffered so no surprise ph is correct.
Center plant has started fighting back after almost a week of being folded over, leaves are standing and some green coming back now.
Yellow progressed on the other 2 plants since removal of over grown roots but has since stopped.
Very impressed with how the smallest plant on the left (the one I've been calling goofy) went from being way behind and having true leaf growing issues from membrane to what it looks like now, awesome that it fought and became what it is!
Added Botanicare Pure Blend Tea and Liquid Karma to the nutrient mix.
Something that led to this issue was not top watering enough in addition to bottom watering.
The roots didn't fill out the top of the pot all the way because they searched for the water below and kept going all the way to the base.
I grew Photoperiods in these pots and bases with same watering habits and did not have this happen.
Oversight on my part.
Next Auto Tent grow is getting 5 gallon pots and no Self-Watering bases.

So relieved that I was able to get these turned around!
Even though they're are Autos, they showed some real resilience here between the root issue and the membrane and leaf growing issues from the plant on the left.
Stayed at same nutrients level as last week.
Will be changing it up next week now that they seem to be stable, take some of the N out of the mix and see if I can get more bud development with some P and K.
The smallest plant looks weeks behind, especially looking at the pistils, didn't think any of the issues would of stopped its internal flowering clock but apparently it did 🤷♂️
Not complaining though, extra time is always good 😂

Can't believe the resilience of these Autos! Really impressed me with how well they bounced back from the root issues/stress.
They say Autos are more stress prone, guess Fast Buds is the exception? Maybe I got lucky?
Either way, very happy how these ended up pulling through.
Middle plant and left (goofy) plant still have some time on the clock, right plant is about done.
It's almost like removing the roots from the bases and starting to top water only, stopped the flowering process or moved it back a couple weeks and once they recovered, started back up again.
The right plant had only a tiny string of roots in the base so it didn't have near the stress of the other 2 and it's about ready to chop.

UV/IR/Deep Red, same schedule as previous week.
Harvested 1 plant
The plant that was harvested did not have the root issue I ran into the first few weeks of flower.
The issue I ran into apparently stopped the clock on the Autos until they recovered, causing them to take longer to harvest.
Posted pics of plants that are left, they still have a couple weeks left.
Used a lighter next to buds for reference.

UV/IR/Deep Red, same schedule as last week
Almost there, the plant on the left has a few more white pistils then I would like so I might let that one go longer then the other. Depends on if trichome maturity allows it.
They smell absolutely wonderful 😍
12/18
Checked trichomes with microscope, they're at the maturity I like indica strains at.
Harvested last 2 plants
Pretty wild how the issue in early flower stalled them for so long, wasn't expecting them to take take as long as they did to mature.
