Both germinated day 3 of being in rapid rooters, although both needed another day or two to push the seeds off. Fingers crossed that these grow up to be healthy!

So far, so good! These are 3-4 weeks behind another grow that I started in the same tent about 3-4 weeks ago, so hopefully they don't shade these from the light. That's a benefit of autos though, because they're all on a 18/6 light schedule, the light timing doesn't have to change regardless of the week in the grow cycle. For the other plants, the LED is already at 100% intensity so hopefully these young seedlings won't mind!

Updating a day early because a hurricane is supposed to hit my area tomorrow, and I'm estimating to lose power for about 6 days. Not good for my plants, since they've been sheltered by my grow tent and fed by my LED light! My two choices until power comes back on are 1) putting these outside where they will get natural sun, but the humidity will be 100%, or 2) putting these by a window where they will get a little sun, although will be protected from the high humidity. When I lose power, I am expecting to do option #2, assuming that the roof of my house is OK after the hurricane, and hopefully the plants will survive the week with minimal sun. Grow light still at 100% power, although these plants seem to be handling it well.

Both plants are happy and healthy! Fortunately I didn't lose power last week like I was expected to, so these have gotten plenty of light under the LED's in the grow tent, and have been fine with 100% power from the LED light since they were seedlings! Topped both plants at about the middle of week 3. Started LST on Ztrawberriez, but not Strawberry Gorilla yet because it isn't as tall and its branches are all still pretty horizontal. Ztrawberries MAY already be showing some signs of pre-flowering. If you look closely on the photo, there may be some little white hairs already. If so, I'm glad I didn't wait any longer to top it! Also started veg nutes at 1/8 strength. Tried giving them every day for a while, although these plants are looking pretty dark green, so I'll probably scale back to giving them every other day.

So far so good. Both are definitely starting to flower this week. Started LST on Strawberry Gorilla this week because it started to get taller than Ztrawberriez, and I want a flat canopy between the two. Tried LST clips at first, like I started on ZB last week, but one of the branches seemed like it was about to snap, so stopped that and used plant ties instead. There is definitely a color difference between the two, with SG being darker green and ZB being lighter green or more yellow.

Started defoliating this week, taking down the fan leaves covering bud sites and those near the bottom of the plants that are covered by other leaves. Strawberry Gorilla is now 16 inches tall and Ztrawberries is still 12 inches tall. I can't do much more LST becuase the branches are now up against other branches in the grow tent! Both plants still appear healthy and aren't showing any signs of stress. This past week was much cooler and much less humid than the past weeks!

Not much new this week. Took photos of buds instead of whole plants since the plants look about the same. Strawberry Gorilla may have grown about an inch in height, although Ztrawberriez is still only about 12 inches tall. Continuing to remove fan leaves that cover bud sites, or that are near the bottom and are covered by other leaves and are aren't getting any light. This week was hotter than last!

Both plants seem healthy. Some purpling/browning of the leaves, although not enough for me to be concerned about at this point. Ztrawberriez is about 13.5 inches tall, and Strawberry Gorilla about 17.5 inches tall, so by topping and training them I've successfully kept them short. It was another warm week, and we may have actually hit record high temperatures this past week, although the grow tent, exhaust, and fans seem to be keeping the heat and humidity minimized.

This past week (and last week) have been much hotter and humid that the weeks before. Really hoping bud rot doesn't get a hold of these. The average humidity has been about 60% with fluctuations up to almost 80%. Plants started to show some browning curling-up leaf tips, so I raised the grow light from being 18 inches above these to 24 inches above these, so hopefully light stress was the issue and this adjustment fixes it. Other than that, the plants seem healthy and are continuing to mature.

Disaster strikes! While adjusting a fan at the top of my grow tent, the fan came crashing down right on top of the base of my Strawberry Gorilla Auto plant and snapped about 4 different branches. Because some plant material was still attached to each branch, I quickly grabbed some blue painter's tape and taped the branches up as best as I could. I also used green plant ties to bend the damaged branches back toward the center. I hope the plant and all the branches are able to recover! Other than that, both plants seem to be doing fine. They showed some curling tips of the leaves of the top buds, so I raised the grow light as high as it could go in the tent in case they're getting light burn. This past week was still hot and humid, although not as hot and humid as the week before, and this week's weather is looking much better with both lower temperatures and lower humidity.

Strawberry Gorilla seems to have handled the injury from last week just fine! Will start flushing in a couple days and check trichomes to see how close this is to harvest. The temperature outside has cooled down and also the humidity has dropped, so great weather this past week! Both plants are getting a lot of yellow/pale/curling leaves, so I'll likely harvest after Thanksgiving. Checked the trichomes and they're about 90% milky/cloudy, 10% clear, 0% orange/amber (except on sugar leaves).

Need to harvest these ASAP although have been out of town for Thanksgiving. Taking them out of the grow tent today for no light and no water for a couple days to maximize resin production, then will harvest.

Was a pleasant harvest. Lots of resin. Wet harvest weight is more than my average. Very resilient strain, as it survived dropping a fan on top of it a couple weeks ago! Harvest was a little "powdery" and don't know if that's from some of the pollen from the plant that was next to it that hermed or that it started to slightly herm at the end. During harvest there were only a few tiny green sacs at the intersection of buds and stems, although they were NOT yellow and soft like those on the plant next to it. Measured THC is about 23% which is acceptable potency! For the smoke report, this reminds me exactly of Bruce Banner #3 with a strawberry flavor, and happy, uplifting, and relaxing high. My guess would be similarly slightly sativa dominant.

When I went to harvest, there were tons of yellow pollen sacs that started to form at the intersection of the stems and buds. Didn't expect that I'd be doing some "castrating" work during harvest as I tried trimming away as many little sacs as possible. Wet harvest weight is lower than my average. Triming shears were covered in pollen by the end of the harvest. Probably won't grow this strain again, as the plant that I grew right next to it in the exact same environmental conditions did not have this issue, and also had higher wet harvest weight. While I harvested this outside of my grow tent, I really hope the pollen doesn't affect the younger plants inside the tent. After curing, measured THC is about 26%! Safe to say that potency won't be an issue with this batch. For smoke report, the taste was wonderful like strawberries and cream. Reminds me of the taste of Runtz. For effects, definitely sativa-dominant, as it had me wanting to be active and do things, not just sit around. At the same time it had be creative thinking about things, and don't know whether coincidental or not but after smoking it I was hungry.
