Off to a new start !
Put the little ones into some distilled water and placed them in the dark... after 18 hours, they already popped. They´ve been put into small pots filled with light mix and are now enjoying 25°C sitting under the "Seedling Lamp". I've done a few Auto Grows before but I've always been hesitant when it comes to photos. Wish me luck :D
It’s been very busy the last few days but: here we go, 2 of them are looking kinda weak but we’ll see. I’ll select the strongest of them later anyway :)
A lot has happened in the last few days 😬. Since I’ve never done photos before, I wasn’t sure about when to transplant them but after the tips of the roots came out of the bottom holes I thought it’s time to gift them some bigger beds.
Transplanted them yesterday morning and so far, they look like they’re comfy in their new pots. Not sure if i transplanted at the right time but, lets hope it’ll work out
Another week in the books… they are not looking as nice as I’d like them to but, let’s hope they’ll turn out well. Rearranged the plants, hung the lights a few cm higher and increased the light - intensity a little bit. Also gave some nematodes last Friday as prevention.
Changed the light cycle to 12/12 2 days ago but since they’re not flowering I decided to upload this as another week of veg… watered them a few hours ago & so far, they seem to be okay. Think I’ll have to get rid of 1-2 plants to have enough space.
Seeing preflowers on each and every one of them but, since these are not „real flowers“ yet, I’am not sure of this counts as flowering already😬.
Still thinking about giving 1 or 2 of them away because it’s getting pretty crowded in there
Since they are starting to form flowers, I consider this to be the first week of flower(I know some people do it differently but that’s just my opinion 😬). Still looking healthy so far, the Biotabs are doing their job as always 💚.
It’s getting very cozy in there so I installed 2 extra monkey fans to provide good airflow at the bottom of the plants.
Sadly had to remove 2 plants due to hermaphroditism.
The remaining plants had 4-5 early stage pollen sacks on the very low branches as well so I removed them super cautiously… since then, I didn’t find new balls so let’s hope that this was it because it would be really disappointing to start all over again.
I am also adding a “starter - dose” of the biotabs bio PK (1-1.5ml per liter of water) and will ramp this up as the plants ripen. Can’t wait to add the compost tea later 😬.
The 4 girls left are doing their thing. Gave them some biotabs compost tea last Saturday and will repeat that the next 2 weeks giving 0,5l per plant per week.
I am also adding 2ml/l of the biotabs bio PK on “regular” watering days.
Found one male pollen sack again this morning and removed it… I hope that I prevented the most damage by removing the 2 hermie -
Plants and checking for bananas daily plucking them carefully.
Let’s see where this run goes… wish me luck 🙏🏻
Another week on the books ! Ramped up the Bio PK from 1,5ml to 3ml /l and gave them 0,5l of the compost tea / brew per plant for the second time last Saturday… will be giving compost tea once more next Saturday.
2 of them started to fade like overnight… still not sure of this is perfectly fine or if there’s another problem
Nothing special has happened… they look wrecked as hell and start fading even more but the flowers look and smell amazing and that’s what it’s all about I guess 😬. Didn’t find any more bananas which is calming as well.
Been on vacation for a few days and these are the last pics taken. Chopped them down yesterday and will upload the harvest results as soon as they are dry. Hung them up in the tent in 60 degrees F and 60 percent humidity. Hope I won’t find too many seeds in those flowers.
Pretty disappointed after my first photoperiod grow due to the plants herming… I’ve been treading them as careful as possible giving the perfect environment etc. but still, they grew balls. Might have dried them for too long due to work - stress (11 days) and they kinda have 0 smell… not sure if curing will bring back some but I put them in grove bags and heat sealed them anyway.
One of the sour diesel plants had a lot of seeds so imma use it for making infused coconut oil.
2 sour plants yielded around 380g dry.
I am pretty sure I messed up something and that’s why I can’t really rate the strain… but they germinated super quick with a rate of 100% and the vegetative grow was super vigorous and healthy.
Beautiful colors in the end but the herming wasn’t really pleasant… pretty nugs after trimming, hope the scent will return while curing cause I might have dried them a bit too long.
Germination rate was 100% and also very fast.
Pulled around 400g dry from 2 plants and will use a good bit of it for infused oil. Didn’t have many seeds but some empty “seed pockets”
Put them in grove bags as well and heat sealed them.
That’s it, learned a few things about photos since this was my first photo run ever… pretty disappointed with the quality of product but hey, it’s better than no bud at all and I know where it came from :) + infused oil isn’t too bad either 😂.
Thanks for watching, off to the next one
@Papajon, hey, thanks a lot ! I am using the whole biotabs range. I always do it like this:
1. add startrex and silicium flash to the medium.
2. fill the pot, put the tabs in.
3. add mycotrex to the plant - holes and put the plant in.
4. mix up the bactrex and orgatrex in water and pour it into the pot.
After that, I just follow the strategy but I am using both the PK 5-8 and the compost tea in flower.
My plants looked much better in veg and I stressed them a lot while experimenting with my SANLights :(
I hope this answers your question🏻
@Biotabs, sadly, I had to remove 2 of them after finding some early stage male pollen sacks 😭. After staying this close, I think they are pollinated as well… found 3 additional balls on the remaining 4 plants . I removed them with clean clippers in slowmo mode. Let’s hope I won’t find more.
I still don’t really get why this happened because I keep everything clean and in check. I removed some bottom foliage as well… pictures will follow on Monday
@Biotabs, i sure will! They are hanging for 7 days now and i think 11-14 days is a pretty realistic :D constantly having 15.4°c - 16°c and 57-60% humidity.
you are doing good, and catched the right moment when to transplant
it eans you are reading the plant, this is in my eyes the best way to do cultivation. listening to the plants
@Biotabs, thank you so much ! Been using all your products for all the Autos Ive grown before and love them ! Using Biotabs combined with Autoflowers and Autopots in the past was some kind of no - brainer tbh :D super easy. Lets see what i can make out of these photoperiods :D
