For this grow I will be running Cap Junkie, a clone I received from a clone company in on Aug 14. ( I've left out the company's name as I believe my diary was deleted last go for that reason)
I've been vegging this clone in order to get it large enough to take at minimum 9 new clones. These clones were started in Rockwell cubes approximately 14 days ago. They have since been transplanted into one gallon pots temporarily using clay Pebbles. These 1 gallon pots sit on a 4x4 flood table and are flooded approximately three times a day .
I have approximately 2 to 3 weeks before they can go into 4 gallon buckets. Which they will then veg for approximately 4 weeks before moving into their flowering tent for the duration of the flowering period.
During this first week I plan to allow the plants to recover from the transplant shock and grow a Tap Root. As soon as they start to show New Growth at the top of the plant I will Top the plant. When the new lower stems begin to show their dominance I will pick the two strongest stems. I'll then remove the other branches and when these two stems become long enough I will Top the ends of them to get two more strong branches on each one of those branches. And I will continue this method until I have six to seven Tops on each plant.
I use Mega crop two parts nutrients. I pre-mixed my nutrients in 4 gallon pre used nutrient containers from previous companies. I add 1 gallon of dry mix and top up the rest with hot water and Shake to mix my nutrients. With this concentrated liquid formula I will then use 500 mL of each one during the vegetation cycle. I use a tall boy water filter to filter my water so I have about 297PPM from my water source. With the added nutrients my nutrient solution sits at 850 PPM.
My
Vegging continues. I have topped the plants and started to select the dominant tops. I still have 5 weeks or. So, so i have nothing but time while I get everything fired back up here.
7 of the 9 plants are in 1 gal pots. 2 have a home in some 4gal pots.
Everything is voming along and cap junky new growth looks amazing.
Beginning week 3 of flower. I have top the plants to get lower lateral growth. Going to aim for about five Tops on these girls. They have approximately 30 to 40 days before they will be going into the flowering tent. Plenty of time to create all the tops I need
Ive been slowly topping these girls and keeping them short. There is about 3 weeks left until flip so i will try my best to make sure i keep these nice and short.
I have approximately 23 days left until I can place these into the flowering tent. Gave them a massive trim job and in a couple days I'll cut lower to promote new growth at a lower canopy level.
Still about 2 weeks away from switching to flower. I keep topping the plants to make sure that the lower sections start to grow out so that when I start to try to choose colas, that I can start them much lower because this plant really likes to stretch from the ones that I've been growing
Flipped to flower 3 days ago. Plants have already grown 2" and i expect them to tower pretty tsll considering im test flowering out one of the clones and its 31 days ahead.
11 days into flower.
I continue to remove sucker bud site branches that are longer than 1" from the main stem. Need to keep these plants nice and tight to the main stem. Normally i only do about 34 tops, this grow im doing around 50 tops. So the plants can not be spread.
Day 15 of Flower. I continue to prune the lower portions of the plants. Removed all of the families in the lower canopy. Almost at the point were I won't need to do much prunning of leaves or bud sites.
22 days since flip im just beginning week 4 and the buds are starting to develop. On the trial run of these plants i had some sort of deficiencies. Ill be watching on this cycle to see if its corrected for this strain.
Also remove some more of the lower leaves to allow for more ventilation moving around in the lower canopy. I'm also growing much more tops than I've ever tried on this strain just for the way that it seemed to be growing in the trial run so I've been removing some upper fan leaves to allow more light to penetrate some of the bud sites on
Day 30 of flower. Plants are looking much healthier from the initial run. I think i was having bad ph swings on my initial trial run of all the new strains.
Nutrient burn seems to have leveled off. I have been monitoring ph levels a little more aggressively. Will continue to monitor as the buds begin to fatten.
51 days of flower. Today I begin a two-week flush. Plants should continue to put on some weight over the next two weeks. Stay tuned to find out the end result.
I'm into the final week of flower on these girls. They have been flushing for about a week. We are about 5 days away from Harvest. Stay tuned and I will update the numbers after the Harvest with the final wet numbers before I dry.
Plants were an easy prune. Most was completed with fingers due to the over fertilization that occurred.
Not sure if I'll keep this strain around. Packaged up 17oz and 10g (486g)
Does have a great smell, look and taste. Weed is definitely a creeper.
